The World's Smartest Man (Reed Richards, universally acknowledged) and the World's Hottest Man (Johnny Storm, self-proclaimed) are home alone. Their only job is to make sure nothing untoward happens to the farmhouse while everyone else is away. Fantastic Four #26 has a good sense of humor, as Reed and Johnny go on a supernatural adventure right in time for Halloween. The art can feel a little stiff with too much talking, but the adventure-packed issue is a fun ride. Read Full Review
Fantastic Four #26 has Reed and Johnny take the lead in their own spooky misadventure on Halloween. While the actual ghostly mystery itself isnt that unique or compelling, seeing Reed and Johnny bond and have their own little journey together was fun and enjoyable. Naturally, the art team deliver with Reed and Johnny and their spooky antagonists when they show up. Read Full Review
"No other skull can make this claim."
I sometimes take weeks to read an issue of this comic because I want to read it in the perfect moment. I don't just want to flip through and enjoy the story, I want to *marinate* in it. No other modern FF run can make this claim.
if this run does not explore some of the most insanely creative comics logics and concepts with a good-natured smile on its face, it builds upon preexisting relationships and redefines them, while having tons of fun with it. It's so endearingly dumb and smart at the same and I am completely in love with it. Best comics out rn.
A relatively low stakes plot but I really liked the duel narration from Reed and Johnny here. North's humor on FF has been a lot better than it was on Squirrel Girl in my opinion.
