    COMICON - Scott Redmond

Iron Cat continues to carry on the tradition of its forebearer Black Cat series bringing all the humor, heartfelt emotion, sass, heists, and action all wrapped up in gorgeous amazing artwork. There is no doubt that thanks to all the recent Black Cat stories, Felicia Hardy is a top-tier Marvel character at this point and not one to be reckoned with. Anyone that hasn't gone on the Black Cat journey needs to pick this and the past volumes up right away. Read Full Review

Thief and billionaire. Hero and anti-hero. MacKays mastery of the Marvel Universe is sharp enough that Black Cat could easily team up with a different hero for a different team-up series every year. The distinct match between Felicia and Tony is remarkably appealing. It will be interesting to see where he manages to take it in the months to come. Read Full Review

Jed MacKay reunites with Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat, and true to form, we get an issue full of laugh out loud hijinks. MacKays pitch perfect voice for Hardy really shines through, mixed with an energetic staccato pattern for the action scenes, makes it feel like its going 0 to 60 in mere seconds. Add in Iron Man and its a sure fire hit. If this mini is half as good as the ongoings, were in for a real treat. Read Full Review

As with many artists these days, the backgrounds arent drawn with the same amount of detail, and the scenes in the past, taking place in the city of Pershyy Misto, suffers for it a bit.   I would have loved to see the city drawn in more detail, because it seemed like a location similar to Monoco, and more detail would have given the book a James Bond-type feel. Iron Cat #1 is just pure fun. Jed MacKay, Pere Perez, and Frank D'Armata did a great job using Felicia Hardy's past to create a new story that has immediate personal stakes when its revealed who Iron Cat is. If your looking for a fun superhero comic book don't miss out on reading Iron Cat. Read Full Review

Jed MacKay gets back on the Black Cat? Excellent. Pere Pérez needs a new place to do awesome drawing now that Spider-Woman is over? Even better. The words and art completely live up to my excessive expectations; this is gorgeous, thrilling, funny, and captivating. The only shortcoming -- a tiny one -- is that the shape of the plot is pretty clear by about page 4. This issue's "big twist" is a lot less shocking to me than it is to Felicia. But I expect there will be some bigger surprises in the issues to come, and I'll enjoy every panel that leads us to them.

Thankfully, this is basically the next arc in Jed MacKay's BLACK CAT series. Sooooo grateful we are getting more stories and if this is what it takes to get more of MacKay's Black Cat, so be it, this series rocks.

Great stuff. I hope Marvel keep MacKay on Black Cat. Maybe a new series once Iron Cat finishes?

This was an enjoyable read. Great art and action with fast pace to match it. Hope this continues past 5 issues. However, I wish the mystery behind the IronCat identity was more compelling. But it doesnt take more than a second to realize who it it before the reveal. I'm glad they reveal it this issue and hopefully lead with more character development between them and Felicia
