Ultimate Black Panther #4 is a consistently fun issue that goes for trim but comes off as a bit hollow. The quality of what occurs in the issue is without doubt, the dynamic between Okoye and Shuri is worth exploring. Hill flashes a signal that the women of Wakanda make for an interesting comparison between the books antagonists, Ra and Khonshu. Casellis art and Curiels colorings reinforce and expand on that split storytelling, showcasing the highs and lows of the genre and Wakanda in the books visuals. Issue #4 is still a great place to catch up and join the ride for the series, which seems to be heating up based on the last page reveal. Read Full Review

The only major issue lies with the speed of the plot. So far there's no indication of why Moon Knight has been attacking Khonshu, or what exactly T'Challa discovered at the end of last issue. I enjoy a good slow burn story, but there has to be room for the story to progress. There are two issues left in the first arc, so hopefully answers are on the way. Read Full Review

Ultimate Black Panther #4 builds on the atmosphere of paranoia when assassins Moon Knight's assassins are found in the highest ranks of Wakanda. Unfortunately, the plot moves at a snail's pace, only saved by excellent visuals from the art team. Read Full Review

Plot
Okoye heads towards the town of Wakanda stating that Black Panther is missing but not dead, that they should be calm, but in the current war situation it is difficult to be calm, especially Shuri who wants to take other measures.

Okoye is attacked by one of Moon Knight's soldiers, who was a former Dora Milaje, but Black Panther appears and stops her.

Black Panther explains to Okoye that Wakanda and all of Africa are in danger, she is full of spies from Ra and Konshu, who believe they are gods and want vibranium for something magical. T'challa explains that she is going to have to create a small circle of trust that will handle undisclosed information, this group is made up of Shuri, Okoye, Erik Killmonger and Ororo (Storm).

This comic continues to raise the climate of tension and mystery in this mix of the spy genre with the political thriller.

Art
The art has many textures that offer a gloomy tone and interesting dynamism to this dramatic beginning, each page is hypnotizing with a cold color palette with many plays of shadows.

I enjoyed this but to repeat what others said, the ending was telegraphed pretty hard.
The one thing that I wasnt sure of was the flight with Shuri, Hill seems to be playing a bit lose and fast with who gets messed up or killed so it is nice to actually be worried about a character, builds suspense. Or maybe I am just deluding myself.

Art was good enough, story was fun and moved the plot a long. That is a win in my books.

Good issue, but the ending was expected, but we are treated like it was a surprise.
