The latest chapter in Eddie Brock's odyssey has him battling inner (and outer) demons in the realm of Limbo, leading to a visually stunning battle that makes creative use of wonky time travel logic. Read Full Review

Venom #17 takes place after the conclusion of Dark Web, but Eddie Brock is not out of the woods yet as he's left stuck in Limbo as Bedlam of all things. The comic is pretty fun and it plays around with time in Limbo that ends up connecting it to a previous issue in the current Thor run. Cafu, Ewing and V are crafting the greatest Venom epic, ever told.
Wow.
Damn this is good.
Ewing and Cafu have me intrigued. I tried the first issue for this a while back and it didn't grab my attention and Hitch wasn't the right fit. Now with Cafu doing an awesome job on art and D'Armata on colors, I can see what Ewing is trying to do even with the dumbest and most awesome last page I've seen in a while.
This is such a good time whenever Ewing has the reigns.
Eddie's story shifts back into drive and the plot develops with a vengeance. First, though, a little Dark Web recapping and tying off a loose end from Thor. These are digressions, but they're structured and illustrated so beautifully that they're engrossing.
The nuts-and-bolts prose is a bit less impressive than the issue's other features, but it's by no means bad. It's clear and it keeps the story moving.
Of course, with Ewing on the writing duties, this was super interesting. I particularly enjoyed the two different timelines splitting and eventually coming back together for the, seemingly, inevitable outcome. Plus, CAFU’s art was absolutely fantastic. I was in love from the first two pages of this issue.
Venom has been dragging on for me lately, but this issue just seemed to hit more..can't really explain it
Unexpectedly great. The final scene is both epic and ridiculous (in a good way).
It seemed like there was some cool concepts that might play out in a cool way down the line and the art was really good but I struggled to follow what was going on at times unfortunately.
Part of me really liked most of it. Part of me just thinks it tries to be too convoluted for its own good.
