LOOSE ENDS #1 and #2 make a great start to an intense and mesmerizing crime story that makes full use of its Southern setting.

THE CHAIR #3 is a subversive and shocking issue that wildly and perfectly mixes up the previous issues' prime elements.

VICTOR LAVALLE'S DESTROYER #1 is a fascinating take on the classic Frankenstein story that perfectly adapts its best elements to modern times.

X-O MANOWAR #1 is a refreshing reboot that pulls the character far from his classic superhero roots.

X-O MANOWAR #2 is another compelling push into the series and character's new direction. The violence and psychological anguish in this issue are equally brutal.

In the best issue to date, X-O MANOWAR #4 both develops the main character and incorporates amazing action scenes.

X-O MANOWAR #5 is another outstanding installment in this series that makes the X-O Manowar armor an interesting character in its own right.

THE CHAIR #4 is a magnificent end to an incredible series. The twists and turns continue, as we reach the conclusion to this psychologically haunting prison character piece.

BRITANNIA: WE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE #2 is an entertaining issue that adds new story elements and shifts the action to the gladiator arena.

NINJAK #27 is a speedy and action heavy issue that lets the title character do what he does best -- be a badass ninja superspy.

BRITANNIA: WE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE #3 is a perfect blend of the gladiator combat, detective stories, and horror that has so far been the high point of the series.

HARBINGER RENEGADE #0 is a successful prelude to HARBINGER WARS 2 and an incredibly exciting issue on its own. The mid-issue twist will shock even the most seasoned readers.

NINJAK #0 is a beautiful, emotional book that gives a new, vibrant look at its title character, but may be less of jumping on point than one would think.

X-O MANOWAR #6 puts political intrigue and conspiracy on the front-lines as it transitions the series from battle epic to strategic thriller.

Despite being a filler issue, HARBINGER RENEGADE #8 is an emotional rollercoaster that expertly leverages Kris Hathaway's inner struggle.

GO WEST #1 is a violent, thrilling western revenge tale that makes use of sparse visuals and a harsh setting to build a compelling world.

HARBINGER RENEGADE #7 is a mellow, character-focused issue that succeeds because it focuses on its characters' internal turmoil.

Nick Fury #1 is a great super-spy caper and homage to the character's classic 1960's roots.

Demon Days is a special book. Truly beautiful, with an ancestral narrative building toward a violent, emotional end. Rising Storm both clarifies and raises the stakes, setting Mariko on a course for either self-realization..or complete destruction.

ANGRY BIRDS: FURIOUS FOWL nails the spirit of the games and embodies everything great about their kooky visuals. Kids will love this adaptation.

THE POWER OF THE DARK CRYSTAL #1 is a solid start to what will likely be a fun fantasy epic and homage to the original film. The writing is epic and the art is imaginative.

IMMORTAL BROTHERS: THE TALE OF THE GREEN KNIGHT is a fun Valiant side story and intriguing repackaging of the classic Arthurian tale.

A Righteous Thirst of Vengeance carefully unfolds its narrative, like a flower to morning light. In this case, that flower is most definitely a blood orchid.

It's rare to see a single person handle every aspect of a comic's creation, especially when that comic deals with such an iconic character. Chiang loves this book and it really shows.

ANGEL CATBIRD Volume 2 is hilarious follow-up to Atwood's goofy and enlightening PSA about cat safety.

A fine issue with some great interactions between Saya and Marcus, but one that seems married to #50. Bring on the end!

Giant-Sized is one of the most fun, best looking issues in a book all about fun, style, and heart. I'd love to see Villa draw Felicia again, maybe as part of a Thunderbolts roster.

Visually stunning, but here's hoping Once & Future takes a few of its new narrative pieces and actually plays with them.

A fun read, but it serves more to whet the readers appetite for Elektra's undoubtedly major role in Devil's Reign.

Saffron needs a lot more development as a character, but if you don't mind a "darker" side to the Chew-niverse, this issue should get you very excited in regards to what comes next.

It's not a bad issue, but if feels *necessary* rather than a must-read installment. Future issues will better determine what role #10 plays in the Radiant Black saga.

The book looks great and if you're a big Blade fan you might enjoy the stylish action. But it does nothing for new Blade readers and has precious little to do with the Death of Doctor Strange event.
