This is a book that depends on a device which could have entirely fallen through. That Jeremy Adams and the art team are able to stick the landing here and trust our love for this character is strong enough to break the fourth wall successfully is a major achievement. Hopefully the skill, heart and detailed work they are doing is rewarded with a growing audience so we see more comics with this amount of love for the character going forward. Read Full Review

The Flash #776 is a tremendous lot of fun, as long as you're willing to play along and put yourself into the story. This kind of experimentation with the format is brilliant if done properly. And Adams, Pasarin, and Ryan have pulled it off remarkably well. Read Full Review

If you're looking for a pure gimmick issue that doesn't really do anything to progress the story then maybe this issue is for you but I just found it to be a really disappointing addition to our story and was just simply happy by the end that the art was pretty great because beyond the art, there's really nothing here and that's a shame.5/10 Read Full Review

Bleeding Cool - Hannibal Tabu Dec 5, 2021

The silver-aged aspirations of this current run are apparent. Still, without the contextual landscape of that kind of vibe being de rigueur (which would be the wheelhouse of characters like Ambush Bug, for example, as seen in the current Suicide Squad run) or at least the visual indicators of this being a "kids" book, the final product ends up coming off tone-deaf.
