IT'S MONDAY NIGHT SOMEWHERE!
(Mondays, amiright?) Wally West is back from his adventure to save Barry Allen, but there's no time to celebrate, as a new alien with a penchant for golden belts and trucker hair has added a new sting to the life of the Flash! This stone-cold heart-stopper of an issue will have you screaming "OHMAHGAWD!" as the Scarlet Speedster gets clotheslined in the face by a whole new era of attitude!
Sometimes an issue doesn't need to have drastic status altering events playing out. It just needs to have that special ability to put a smile on your face from beginning to end. This was a highlight of the week and The Flash creative team deserves a well-earned thunderous applause galaxy wide for this installment. Read Full Review
It's another win for Adams, who was nearly unknown but has now delivered one of the best Flash runs in recent memoryand the first to let Wally truly shine in well over a decade. Read Full Review
Moreover, I would be remiss if I didnt also reference the subtle panels involving Dick and Babs, as well as Lobo and Goldstar (speaking of Goldstar where has she been?!?). On top of the insane story and crazy action on display, these throwaway panels were also priceless adding that extra layer to the fun and excitement of The Flash #787. Readers, very little prior knowledge is required to understand this issue. Its the perfect time to get on board with The Flash and add this series to your pull list. Check out The Flash #787 now and give Adams style a test drive to see what you think. I do not doubt that youll love it along with this issue. Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God Bless! Read Full Review
This book really was a pleasant break from the death and gloom going on in other comics. Read Full Review
The Flash #787 is a great comic to add to your buy pile, even if you haven't been keeping up with The Flash. Adams continues to show the Flash-family unit as a wholesome one your whole family can relate to while offering big sci-fi ideas that are over the top and fun. DC Comics can often feel overly dark and depressing, but Adams continues to show Flash's optimistic and bright side and the DC Comics universe. Read Full Review
While The Flash might not be the very best series in DC's roster, it goes a long way toward preserving a sense of whimsy that might be missing from a lot of comics these days. Read Full Review
The Flash #787 is glorious madness. This comic feels like a time-out issue after long story arcs and events, allowing for a gap before the next one with an incredibly fun adventure. It captures the carefree nature this series can have that makes it so easy to fall in love with. Not every comic needs doom and gloom, some can just be a delight Read Full Review
This issue is a fun little romp that parodies wrestling and because we have such a fun character like Wally West it works really well, not to mention gives you a little inside look at how our Fastest Man Alive is feeling. Does this feel like a particularly great first issue after our Dark Crisis tie-in?...... No, but it's still fun and the art is great. Read Full Review
Okay the writers definitely have been reading Do A Powerbomb and want to have some wrestling with the Flash. Does it work? YES! This issue was a lot of fun to read!!
YES!
A pretty fun issue that probably comes with an enhanced experience for wrestling fans such as myself. This was an entertaining one-shot issue, which is a nice break after the four Dark Crisis tie-in issues that came before. Wally gets to blow off some steam and have a fun time with OBM after a heartfelt talk. Adams continues to be great.
Why is DC ending this and replacing it with cosmic horror?
Fun issue for sure. Love the wrestling references to 80’s 90’s. Nothing more to say but great action with fun dialogue.
Perfect simple one shot issue that's plenty of fun. Sometimes attempts at stories like this fall flat especially when a series isn't providing stories of substance, but after the last few issues being so strong while actually tying into Dark Crisis (unlike the other "tie ins") a one shot break to have some fun fits perfect.
This was fun
I’ve really been enjoying the Flah, but this issue was garbage!
