Wonder Woman and her team of mystical misfits are on their last legs against Doctor Fate and his Lords of Order. As the magical community surrounds them, the Justice League Dark searches the world over for their one chance at stopping Doctor Fate and the Otherkind and saving magic: Mordru, the Lord of Chaos!
Easily one of my top 3 favorite comics out now. Any fan of horror movies, or the paranormal should definitely give this book a read. Read Full Review
The script is well-matched by Francis Manapul's artwork, which is equally bombastic and appropriately world-shaking. Mere words cannot describe this issue. Just buy it. Read Full Review
This book is consistently a favorite every month. It never lets me down, but always makes me think. It thrills, chills and delights. Chatting with the artists and following them online has uncovered new secrets (and mysteries). Some of these will be divulged in issue #11 before blowing everyone's minds in #12. If you think The Lords Of Order are impressive, wait 'til you meet the all-new Lords Of Chaos! Read Full Review
Magic stories are hard to pull off, but this title is consistently full of suspense, horror, and brilliant visuals. It might be DC's best book. Read Full Review
This is darn close to pushing out Shadowpact as my favourite DC magic team. All it has to do is conclude this first big storyline with a solid finale. Read Full Review
Justice League Dark #10 flips everything you thought you were able to piece together about this story right out the window. There was no better time to begin peeling back the layers of mystery, because once you do? All that is left is what you are willing to do to get the job done. Most of these characters aren't truly aware of the actual stakes. So it should be thrilling to see what happens when that is the case. Read Full Review
If Tynion IV and Martnez Bueno can keep up the stakes with every issue, we're going to be in for quite the treat. Read Full Review
Alvaro Martinez Bueno delivers some engaging, powerful and beautiful artwork in this issue. Read Full Review
JLD continues to absolutely kill it, consistently keeping the ball rolling with the action while never disappointing in the plot department. Read Full Review
Justice League Dark continues to be a beautiful tale of magic and struggle as all hope seems lost within the magical community of the DC Universe. Read Full Review
We learn more about the Lords of Order'sultimate plan, and find out how Circe intends to double-cross everyone, but besidesthese things, there isn't much advancement to the story. Even said plan, setforth by Nabu, seems a little hokey. You will, however, enjoy looking at everypage of this issue. Read Full Review
Justice League Dark is starting to be pulled in a few separate directions and it's impacting the story for the worst. Read Full Review
The Lords of Order continue their quest for dominion over magic. Tynion manages to balance out a large cast of characters by making sure every core team member of JLD has a role to play while also giving the villains moments to shine too. This is my favorite monthly DC title probably since Charles Soule's Swamp Thing.
I’m always so excited by the idea of reading this book! So cool.
Pretty great issue. It felt really epic, but in a good way. Not sure how I feel about the Constantine development. I tend to dislike when characters are artificially made more important. Like Spider-Man being a totem for a Spider-God. Not that this is on the same level but it feels like that to me.
So for an instance Zatanna for Constantine is like Harry for Professor Snape? Not to mention Zatara can be related with the likeness of Dumbledore here. If that's true then it reveals how much she means for John, absolutely loved this little revelation, it adds more depth to an already complex character. Now we get to fully perceive Doctor Fate/Nabu's judgemental plan, not bad for him and the Lords of Order. Circe's association with Otherkind entity was longtime coming since the conclusion of the Witching Hour, glad they addressed it.
I am totally on board with this story arc now! Great artwork and dialogue, and not a lot of narration. Didn’t think he was able to write an issue without a lot of narration.
so confused
