It all ends here! As Lex Luthor feverishly attempts to repower Superman, the Crusaders are closing in on the Resistance, aiming to shut them down for good! Meanwhile, Nightwing makes a deal with the devil in an attempt to save his son's life...and it may cost him everything.
RATED T+
I can't really say enough good things about this series. Kyle Higgins,Trevor McCarthy, and Dean White should be congratulated for putting together a compelling, original, and heartfelt story that we haven't seen before. I hate to see it end, but I certainly love the way it did. Read Full Review

Nightwing: The New Order culminates in a satisfying and in light of everything thats happened, realistic end. I got the same feeling reading this issue as I did watching the last episode of the Bruce Timm Justice League series. Highest of recommendations as always. Read Full Review
Satisfying ending to what has been a great series. The creative team deliver some of their best work in their careers. An instant classic. Read Full Review
I think what I appreciate the most about the parallels between Higgins story and our world today is that it makes you question things. Dick Grayson is an upstanding hero that the public worshipped, but in the end what he was doing wasn't right for everyone. Higgins challenged our perception of the man behind the mask of Nightwing and I hope it makes readers challenge their perception of what's going on in our country today. Read Full Review
Higgins and McCarthy conclude their story in a mostly satisfying manner. There are some classic moments to be had and the art is simply gorgeous. Read Full Review
Nightwing: The New Order #6 has some rushed sections pertaining to Lex Luthor's plot, but overall sends a meaningful message to longtime Nightwing fans. Read Full Review
I have a hunch this is not an intended message of the creators, but I note it as a reminder that the meaning of a story happens halfway between the art and the reader. As a story, I found the series quite strong, as a parable, I think there's a lot of gray. Read Full Review
It's a beautiful book. Trevor McCarthy and Dean White outdo themselves with every issue. Their futuristic redesigns for characters like the Blue Lantern Lois Lane and Starfire are unquestionably badass. White's colors pop and shine with shades of pink and cyan, giving the book a decidedly dystopian Blade Runner feel. And while the plot gets a little mushy around the edges towards the end, the overall trajectory of the book is strongly positive, far exceeding the tepid hopes engendered by its premise. The problem, once again, is that much of the plot is driven by characters making bad decisions that don't really make sense. Read Full Review
I'm not quite sure where this puts me. On the one hand, I'm disappointed; on the other, the first five issues are exceptional and this one isn't bad by any means. It takes an idea, runs with it, and trips a bit at the end. It doesn't do something truly special. That I'm demanding it to might say more about me than the book, though. Read Full Review
Though pacing issues and the scope of the world still create a few issues, Higgins and McCarthy have created a moving conclusion to their alternate future story of Dick and his family. Read Full Review
While it's a shame that this ending felt so rushed, I can still recommend this series to fans of Nightwing and elseworlds stories. The art in this issue was really good, I just wish Kyle Higgins was given a couple more issues to tell this story. Read Full Review
New Order is an optimistic story from dark times, showing that heroes never die; but villains can come from anywhere. Read Full Review
Trevor McCarthy had just the right pulp feel and remined me a lot of Paul Smith and Jim Baikie. He worked with the script that he was given and excelled at that. The only problem is that non-one will care about this series in a few years because while the artwork was there, the depth and grandiose scope of the story was no available. Read Full Review
Nightwing: The New Order has never been my favorite book that I cover. The story has never really grabbed me, and while there have been some nice character beats to be sure, the overall narrative failed to deliver. The finale here does its best to wrap everything up, but still can't make this a story worth recommending. To his credit, Higgins did write a self-contained story that doesn't go out of its way to leave the door open for a sequel, though if he had I don't know who would really want it. This is a story that didn't know what it wanted to say or who it wanted to say it to, and while it's far from terrible, it suffers from a worse fate than simply being bad: it's boring. Nightwing The New Order is a somewhat entertaining, albeit shallow, mini-series with a lackluster ending. It was a fun read, for the most part, but nothing worth further exploration. Read Full Review
Thoroughly enjoyed this start to finish. I didn't understand at first why Dadwing specifically was chosen to be the perpetrator of the events, but I think this final issue puts it into light. Dick has always been one of the more positive characters and seeing him become so cold, cynical, and untrusting (Not unlike Bruce Wayne) in his latter years really hits home how bleak this future has become. I thought the conclusion was well done and gave some good new Dad commentary... at least I assume so. I'm not a Dadwing yet.
What a great finish to this story, which has been compelling from issue 1. I'm so glad I took a chance on this one.
a book that genuinely took me by surprise.
This was a solid conclusion to a wonderful miniseries. Even though it did feel a bit rushed especially towards the end it was still a fun journey getting through 6 issues. I really enjoyed this version of the DC universe and it's unique alternate take on these beloved characters. Kudos to Kyle Higgins and company for doing something different and cool
Interesting story. The art could have been MUCH better.
Dick's change of heart comes from nowhere. That undermines an otherwise strong finale to a good of non-essential miniseries.
l don't like it
I would give 0 but I apparently can't. This entire comic is so out of character it's ridiculous. We've also had enough comics about superheroes suddenly becoming fascist (and with better reasons, too). I was willing to read this despite that because the writing was alright and I wanted to see how they would do.
Then they gave us this issue. Where Dick once again betrays his friends, runs away instead of fighting. He betrays everything he stands for and then they give us a happy end. Where "Kori and Dick try to be friends because they love Jake so much". You can't just make someone a fascist and then pretend everything will end up alright. It doesn't. Because that's not how the world works.
