The art in Farmhand #1 is actually really good, it drives home the point but not so disgusting that I was repulsed by it. It kind of has a Plants vs Zombies vibe to it. I just hope that Guillory and Wells can keep it up in the follow-on issues and give us more body parts! Read Full Review

Story: Wow! Pulled me right in. Excellent job. Exactly what a number 1 needs to do. I'm hooked and excited for more. I actually can't decide whether I wait for several issues to come out and binge read, or just read them as they are released. I feel like it's that good.
Art: I'm familiar with Rob Guillory's work. He's not for everyone, but what he does, he does exceptionally well. I could go on about this, but it is what it is. Even more so, this isn't exactly my style and this did not pull me away from the story.
Chapter: Bang on #1. Let's hope this freight train lost its brakes!

Yes! It's like a 90s kids cartoon, Plant vs. Zombies and Little Shop of Horrors all squished into one!
The character's feel three dimensional, with a sense of history. The setting is very unique and original.
An overall solid issue to the artist/co-creator of one of my favorite comics Chew. It captures very similar vibes but with a much darker tone.
Plenty of comedy, while still being dark and gloomy at some points. Combine this with incredible Guillory's artwork, and you get a very good first issue. If it continues like this, this book will go very far.
I don't know what I expected to see. I liked some of the art I see in the last Image+. So I take it in spit of the cover.
The story is weard. And at some point the writer succeed to make us believe in this business. But I didn't like the tone of this book.

Writing - There is too part for me. The nightmare very creepy & a little "déjà vu" and after the family reach the farm. There is some fun part (The smallword ripoff) and he give credibility. 2/3
