• Every family has its share of secrets - skeletons in the closet, kept hidden from the world at large.
•  For the Visions, those secrets are real, actual skeletons.
•  The thing about secrets is they always have a cost... and one of the Visions is going to pay with their life.

    CourtOfNerds - Grant Stoye Jul 13, 2016

This issue is a tour de force of emotional discomfort: I was uneasy flipping pages and watching what was happening, unable to help. But isn't that the hallmark of a great book? Engaging the reader so forcefully that he or she is compelled to do something? Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze Jul 14, 2016

Vision is the only Marvel book next to Weirdworld that can bring a tear to my eye. Vision #9 hit right where it hurt the most because the answer to what causes the Vision to lose it was not the answer you were prepared for. Again a masterpiece in the making because this is a family who has tried so hard to be normal and just when they were hanging by a thread it took a monumental loss to shatter that American dream. 411Mania - Sankalp G. Jul 14, 2016

This issue follows the trend and delivers like the rest. It brings us closer to the conclusion and literally, as preview shows, we are really closer to the prophecy of Agatha Harkness. Read Full Review

The Vision has become the family horror movie I need Marvel to make.  It's rare to find a book you're able to enjoy month in and month out regardless of what the overall story in the issue tends to be.  I love how King keeps us in a constant state of alert and I just have no idea what to expect next. Kudos goes to the entire creative team for staying sharp issue after issue and never wasting a page, a moment, or a panel in this series so far.  My only complaint is I see issue 12 and the series ending way too soon.  Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Jul 14, 2016

This issue might just offer the biggest emotional gut-punch of the entire series to date. It's very clear by the end of issue #9 that Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta are approaching their endgame. This story isn't necessarily that big in scope, but in terms of tragedy and gravitas it more than delivers. Read Full Review

We don't have many issues of The Vision left, but this creative team is making sure that every issue until the title's end hits as hard as possible. Read Full Review

Heroes Direct - Adam Fitch Jul 14, 2016

We're looking forward to seeing the Vision spiral out of a healthy mental state and displaying his monstrous levels of power, could we see him kill a popular Marvel character? It's unlikely but it should happen, he's just that good. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Jessica Petrecz Jul 15, 2016

The Vision #9 is a great, standout issue from this great, standout series from Walta, Bellaire, and King, that deserves a read from all comic fans. Yes, we know there is a Rebirth and a Civil War happening right now, but this is a fresh, fun, and new concept that deserves your attention. The heavy plot lines and stylized art are going to make this a classic storyline that will influence these characters and their development for years to come. Read Full Review
