Tom King continues to deliver one of the best comics currently on the stand, mixing questions of morality with questions of mortality and even questions of faith. Were this just a regular family dealing with loss it would still be a great comic, but adding the fact that they are synthetic lifeforms looking for their place in the world on top of it adds an entirely new layer to the storytelling that makes every page both a joy and a heart breaking moment. I continue to recommend this book to anyone who is not only a fan of comics, but a fan of quality literature in general. Read Full Review
You may be tempted to wait for the trade, but you should not wait to read this book. After this arc is done, it will be recommended to reread each issue just because King has crammed so much into every issue. The Vision just delivers in every aspect a comic should from great storylines that enrich characters, to beautifully crafted pages. The creative team behind this title are really building towards something with every issue, and if you are a fan of comics you will want to be there for that moment. Read Full Review
"Another issue up, now just 2 to go, huh?" That was my feeling after reading this issue. As the cover shows, this issue has tied all the loose ends together and we are coming to the finale; where literally anything can happen. Tom King has weaved this story so well it should also have a great conclusion. As always, a great issue which was a set up, last block until the end. Read Full Review
Ten issues in and there's not a question that this is Marvel's best book - nothing else has the emotional gravity, nor the density of story or characters, that this book has. Each issue sets up the next in a way that elicits as much dread as excitement, which is the most anyone can ask of a series; after that gut punch to the soul that issue 9 ended with, I had to read 10 first just because I have to know. This has been as near perfection as I have seen in recent memory. My only complaint is seeing it end.Do yourself a favor and grab this series, not just this issue and thank me later! Read Full Review
The emotional gravity is intense in this series, it's undoubtedly Marvel's strongest book in terms of character-driven storytelling. Each issue bleeds into the next effortlessly and we leap into each instalment with great excitement and anxiety as to what will happen next. Read Full Review
King and Walta have a tightly woven, laser focussed story to tell and it manages to stand out from the crowd and feel completely at home in a larger shared universe all at once. Read Full Review
Not since DC Universe Rebirth #1 has a comic hit me so profoundly in the feels region. This series, always morose even in its most lighthearted moments, becomes even more emotional in the aftermath of Vin's death. Read Full Review
This is grievously a book that's being 86'd with the upcoming Marvel NOW 2.0 this fall. With the All New All Different Avengers team disassembling already spoiled, thanks to teasers, this will be an interesting book to keep up with and see whether or not its titled character plays a significant role to that outcome. Fingers are crossed that good stories will come out of this. At the time though, we'll have to make do with this masterpiece of a series we have at the moment. All thanks to a brilliant team that's combined their talents of compelling writing and captivating artwork. Read Full Review
This is another stellar issue of the Vision from beginning to end. We're currently all setup for an enormous grand finale, so strap in ladies and gentlemen and forget about trade-waiting. It's going to be a slobber-knocker you won't want to miss. Read Full Review
By the end of Vision #10 I feel that I am left asking myself “Marvel why is this book so damn heartbreaking?”. Pardon my french I do say this in the best way possible, if people are talking about Vision then it is for how beautifully down to Earth this is. They are just like you and me, and it will be thrilling to see what happens when someone like Vision finds himself ready to look for justice for the sake of his family. Read Full Review
One of the best written series out there. Two more until the amazing conclusion.
around issue number #3 have been saying that hands down the best character driven series that either of the two big boys (marvel/ DC) has put out in a very, very, very long time...
and with every issue that statement becomes even more evident. But this issue seals the deal!
f#$k man - why does it have to end....
I can't believe this series is ending soon... Don't leave
Mr King!!!
Holy shit this is an incredible issue
This book just keeps getting sadder and sadder, and I mean that in the best way possible. King's exploration of what it means to be human has made the Vision a true "Avenger." Seeking justice for his son's death, we'll see where the story leads us (and ends?!) in two more issues. What I find most exciting about each issue are the overlays of soliloquy or dialogue pasted on panels simply showing each character's emotions. Walta dose an excellent job in this respect. Kudos to Tom King for making a name for himself. This title is by far his most ambitious, and you can tell he's really putting in his all. If it's ending at issue 12, at that point it will go down as one of the greatest series Marvel has published.
Gonna be a sad day when this series ends.
