X-Force #39 kicks off a new era of the book with a bang. Percy, Gill, GURU-eFX, and Caramagna have made this the sleeper book of the X-line, and these new developments are adding up to make it into something very special for readers. This is yet another excellent issue of an amazing book. Read Full Review
X-Force #39 is an efficient issue that features politics, team building, tons of characters getting a chance to shine, and good art. As we wait for Beast to get his due, the team seems to be on track for a new era and resurgence. Read Full Review
In the wake of Beast's expulsion and Logan's exit, X-Force feels like a team book largely lacking its team, but X-Force #39 delivers a rebuilding phase in a single issue that manages to take stock of what came before and deliver a new status quo and mission. Read Full Review
Gill delivers some beautiful art. The action was visually stunning. The characters look great and I loved the style of the imagery and how it evocative it is. Read Full Review

Absolutely phenomenal!! This continues to be one of my favorite books along with wolverine also written by Benjamin Percy. I can't say enough about Percy's run it is consistently great and is making this lifelong x-men and wolverine fan very happy. I love it!
This book is consistent, unafraid to try new things, shake things up, but it always feels like itself, like Percy and X-FORCE.
And, in this day and age, 40 issues in. That is RARE.
This was a good transitional issue, where some things are closed up, like Logan walking away from X-Force, and other things are set up for the next arc. And the setup for what comes next was very fun to read, from Sage finally getting to take charge to the Quiet Council delving into their views on recent X-Force events and Laura being recruited into the team.
Out of all the cast, I would say Sage gets the most to do, and it is for the best. Finally free from Beast's terrible rule over the team, Sage has hit the ground running, setting up a much less menacing headquarters, reaching out to Laura in a way that felt sympathetic, and having plans to run the team with a lot more morals, which is really in line with her characterization thro more

I'll start off by saying I don't read much of the current mutant stuff these days. I've always liked reading all the mutant books together and did start the Krakoan age doing just that but they quickly lost me with what I consider to be a lot of bad writers. Pretty much half the books I didn't like so I just quit the whole scene. I started reading wolverine based on some good reviews and loved it, so I thought I'd give Ben Percy a chance with this book. Ehhhh. Maybe it's cause I've been gone so long but the quiet council feels soooo wrong to me. Prof X not dealing with Hank was mind blowing to me and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I also don't believe they could deny culpability to any nation when it comes to Beast's amore
This is incredibly... bad. The Quiet Council just lets Beast go unpunished? He literally almost destroyed Krakoa, he murdered Wolverine and cloned him to create an evil army! What the hell is Xavier thinking? And I'm also not into Laura and Piotr joining X-Force.
Everyone's out of character and stupid decisions are made.
