don't sweat it. we all wanted to believe. but DC has burned us so many times before. i look at all the time and money i've wasted on both Batman Eternal series just to get a padded story with a giant flop of an ending.
Thank god this bullshit is over. Why anyone would want a Justice League book where the heroes almost never win is beyond me. DC needs to do some housecleaning and Snyder, despite a few good stories, needs to go along with King and Bendis. Get writers back in who know how to tell complete stories and remember what the point of having heroes is. This entire run was trash.
In the wake of the Justice/Doom War, the Justice League finds themselves stranded at the far end of the universe and facing a challenge they've never faced before. But what will they find on their journey? Has their battle with Perpetua had consequences reaching farther across the cosmos than they ever imagined? Superstar scribe Scott Snyder says f...
The only thing that was interesting about the Justice/Doom War was the thousand guest stars Snyder kept introducing as if with an exclamation mark. And then he did nothing with any of them. First Mera joined the team and did nothing. Then every hero in the DCU proper joined the JL and did nothing. The they added the JSA, Kamandi, DC One Million characters, Batman Beyond characters, Kingdom Come chmore

Just like everything Snyder writes, this run ends with nothing. For a worthless, meaningless story, it lasts too long. Perpetua is a boring, annoying, outdated villain and that makes the JL even dumber. I may be wrong but is Snyder whining about editorial decisions in the story? That's pretty unprofessional and narrow-minded I think since the story is JUST BAD.

"Cold Days" continues! The jury in the Mr. Freeze trial is hopelessly deadlocked because one man won't vote guilty-and that man is Bruce Wayne. Freeze's defense is that Batman used excessive force, making his arrest illegal, and Bruce is the one man who actually knows for sure what went down between Batman and his ice-cold nemesis. And if Bruce is ...
Wow, I would like to apologize to any and every person I ever defended Kings's Batman run to, and apologize to the general public for potentially misleading people.
Now I live in fear for the ending of Mister Miracle.
It's the wedding you never thought you'd see! The Batrimony is real as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are set to tie the knot in a can't-miss, extra-length milestone issue that will reshape Gotham City. All their friends (and a few enemies?) will be party to a comic book coupling for the ages. Superstar scribe Tom King officiates the sure-to-be-offbea...

Like most Bendis comics, this felt like a chore to read with bloated, unnecessary dialogue. This has become Bendis's signature style. While they make this comic as a jumping on point, despite being the finale of an arch, you should avoid this book and wait until Slott's run starts. Hopefully, Dan Slott can bring something promising to the table, which Iron Man has lacked for years.

One of the best spidey issues in recent years. My only problem was the dull story
arch surroumding it.
• J. Jonah Jameson's got the scoop of the century - a once-in-a-lifetime interview with the menace of Manhattan...SPIDER-MAN!
• PETER PARKER: THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN, MY DINNER WITH JAMESON is one tale you won't want to miss!

Another fun addition to an entertaining series.
Bane and his crew set out on a global hunt for a newborn baby. The happy event is the birth of the new spiritual leader of Kobra - and whoever gets to the baby first holds the power of the world's largest criminal empire. The man who broke the Bat turns surrogate daddy to the world's most wanted infant! The mayhem continues as this gangster epic ex...
A lazy and predictable ending mixed with cheesy pretentious narration makes this arguably the weakest issue of the event.
Can there be any redemption for Captain America as the SECRET EMPIRE starts to crumble?

Nightwing: New Order does more with character motive in one issue than secret empire does in nine issues.
NIGHTWING: THE NEW ORDER is the story of a future world without "weapons"-where superpowers have been eliminated and outlawed. The man responsible? None other than Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Nightwing, now leader of a government task force called the Crusaders who are charged with hunting the remaining Supers. But when events transpire which turn the Cru...
I couldn't have said it any better, so I am going to directly copy and paste your review.
The art continues to be inconsistent, and more plot points that may never get resolved are created in this poorly paced issue.
The unworthy, the untrusted, the unstable - this is their day! BEWARE THE SECRET EMPIRE!

I am extremely satisfied with the direction the story is taking us. I also appreciate that both sides have a genuiney debatable opinion, something rarely seen in comics now (Civil War2).
"CROWN OF ATLANTIS" part one! Beleaguered by ceaseless conflict with the surface world and rising frustration with their outsider king, the people of Atlantis take steps to depose Arthur from his throne. And he won't let go without a fight! The next major movement of the AQUAMAN saga begins here!

What mainly killed the comic for me was the flashback in which Riri asks her teacher to discriminate against her so that she can play the victim. It makes Riri an even less likable character.
Riri Williams strikes out on her own as her idealism is pushed to the test by a world she does not understand yet. How far is Riri willing to go to do what she knows is right?
