Never Experianced Hulk as a horror type character until I read The Immortal Hulk issue#1. Love this issue so far and can’t wait to see the evolution of Bruce / Hulk characters. Love the art, very detailed and jump right out the page. |

Killmonger (2018) #1 |
Jan 16, 2019 |
Everyone has seen or is familiar with the movie Black Panther and the villain of the story, Killmonger. However, what we don't know, is how Erik ( J'Nadaka ), became the assassin that he is. Bryan Hill does a great job making Erik seem real, modern, and understandable to the causes he is after. Bryan shows the reader how Erik went from a young scared boy to a "bloodthirsty revolutionary ". The pencil by Juan Ferreyra is deep, dark, and does a great job drawing the line between flashbacks and recent events. The details on each panel are enjoyable and easy to read when jumping from panel to panel. Overall, this is a great pick up for Black Panther fans or to anyone who enjoys good writing and art. |

KILLMONGER #2 is just as brilliant as it's debut series. Seeking revenge and fueled with anger, young Erik joins the team of 3 in hopes to get close to Klaue. In this issue, we are seeing the unfolding of the Killmonger that we are all familiar with. The issue is wonderfully written by Bryan Hill and beautifully drawn by Juan Ferreyra. The panels are easy to follow, which allow you to enjoy the art and follow the story as it unfolds. Combination of writing, pencil, and color, really made the action sequence in this issue come to life. Thus far my favorite series. |

Though it is a slow build up to a larger payoff, this issue is lots of fun and entertainment. Spencer did a really good job portraying Spider-Man and Jonah Jameson and their duo in this issue. The, J. Jonah Jameson, content is fun, sticking to his true self, as always. The pencil from, Rathburn, really brought out the writing in the panels. I will say, this art is better than Romos. |

Thus far i believe Bendis's best writing was showcased in issue #4. Don't get it wrong, his writing in this issue is still spectacular, and it's shown through the amazing art of Ivan Reis. This issue is definitely a page turner, i had to catch myself and slow down to enjoy every panel. |

After the cliffhanger from the last issue, i was expecting something else. But, even thought this issue took a different route, it was enjoyable to read, exciting, and intriguing. Peter parker was more passive in this issue as MJ and Black Cat were really the main focus of the story. Which is good, given that in this issue we are introduced to new characters and the identity of the Thieves Guild ! The art is good and enjoyable to examine as you read through panels. However, you do see a slight difference in art between the two artist. Nothing crazy noticeable unless someone is really paying attention. I'm really excited to see what the next issue brings. |

This is a great continuation from issue #9. This issue packs lots of emotional moments, MJ expressing her feeling to the support group and the connection between Black Cat and Spider-Man. Spencer did a really good job with Spider-man making him more animated and funny. I'm not a fan of Romos art, and i believe Bandini did a better job. Good issue to read, I'm sure you will enjoy it also. |

Finally, the story is picking up again. It got me interested from the beginning and wanting more after I was finished. Here are my Pros and Cons Pros : - Cover art is Beautiful ( Variant cover ). Though not sure if it has anything to do with the issue. - The story arch is great. It a page-turner. - Bringing back Rogol Zaar and General Zod. - Dialogue between characters. - REIS' pencil work is phenomenal. Probably the main reason I still have this series in my pull. Cons : - Jon's dialogue sometimes can be cringy. - Superman's dialogue with Jor-El at the start was...well, weird. ( HI, DAD! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?) |

This is one of the better issues thus far in the series. Nick Spencer is setting up a new conflicts and villains so there isn't much happening here but, the suspense will get you to turn each page. I'm not a fan of Ramos's art but, that definitely does not stop me from reading. |

The writing in this issue, in my opinion, is the worst in the series. It's not bad but, compared to the rest of the series, it's at the bottom. The captions during the splash page or spread page were boring and slow in the moment of high speed battle ( Which you are reminded several times in the first couple pages ). The art from, Ivan Reis, is beautiful as it conveyed the emotions in Superman's facial expressions. The ending left me surprised and eager to read the next issue. Overall, good issue. |

The beginning of the issue does not grab you at all. Almost felt as though it was a filler issue of some type. But as you progress through the issue, the story grabs you and doesn't want to let you go. The introduction of the Hordecutlrure in this issue was pretty good, but Jonathan Hickman's jokes, well, weren't funny. The art is slowly growing on me, and there are moments where it truly shines. Like the splash art of Cyclopes, after he fights the ladies, now that was impressive. And, there are moments like the background of the island..Yikes! |

I was disappointed with issue#6 as I thought Bendis didn’t really do his best there, and was really hoping that issue #7 would make up for it. Boy, was I wrong. I think this is the worst from Bendis’ writing. Almost every other page felt cringy. One scene, were Lois is sexually flirting with Superman, is just not a reality. Their Son is missing for three weeks, who would be thinking about sex during this time ? The only thing that really saves this issue is the pencil by Reis. Great detail in all the characters, showing their emotion that connects the reader. |

Apart from the great looking cover and pencil work by Reis, this issue was a poor continuation from previous. I really want to care about what happens next, but these issues are becoming boring really fast. It feels as though Bendis is trying to tell us a story but, he's stretching it out. He needs to get to the point fast. The only thing that keeps me coming back to this series, is Reis and hopes that Bendis will turn this around. |
