Totally true. Sollicitations can kill the hype but it is up to us to read them.
"Who are the Secret Six?" part three! Is Superman the newest member of the Batman Who Laughs' Secret Six? It certainly looks that way, and Batman may be powerless to stop the Man of Steel and his own demented doppelgänger. The Dark Multiverse's most dangerous Bruce Wayne is loose in our world, and he has our world's greatest superhero at his side. Who do you turn to when there's no one to trust?
Batman/Superman #3: Where is my change jar? I used to look forward to buying World's Finest as a kid. And while the prices have increased from 25 cent to the current market prices, the work is priceless! We are inching closer to the revelation of the entire Sinister Six and TBWL's plan. Can it get any better? Read Full Review

Nothing makes me happier than to see Joshua Williamson penning a great Batman story. I've loved the guy since I first discovered his seminal seriesNailbiter and have been a fan ever since. Few writers know how to captivate audiences, to instill in them a true sense of excitement and fear. This is where Joshua Williamson shines. Batman/Superman #3 is drawing on the creative inspiration of Scott Snyder and brings his characters to an entirely different level. Like Loeb and Sale or Snyder and Capullo before them, Willamson and Marquez are truly the new dynamic duo to watch out for in the DCU. Read Full Review
This is an exciting third issue that continues to ramp up the stakes while giving both the title characters heroic moments as well as moments to reveal their humanity. It's good character drama mixed with great action in one of the prettiest superhero books on the stands today. Read Full Review
We're only three issues in, but this title seems to have a stronger central concept than these team-ups have in previous versions. Read Full Review
Final Verdict: It's really good. Like – really. Read Full Review
The art by David Marquez is nothing short of spectacular. It is perfect for this book and he is really shining here. Let us hope the quality of this book keeps up but right now it is really a winner. Read Full Review
Batman/Superman continues to impress; as Batman and Superman discover more details about the Batman Who Laughs' devious plan, the stakes become higher and the story, more exciting. Read Full Review
Marquez delivers some beautiful visuals in this issue. The sequence with Batman versus Gordon was fantastic and the reveal at the end of the issue looks spectacular. Read Full Review
Batman/Superman #3 is not a deep comic. It doesnt say anything new about the characters or reinvent the superhero genre. What it is, though, is a fun ride, with spectacle galore and a story thats essential to the big metastory of the DC Universe right now. Read Full Review
Batman/Superman is an intriguing series so far. Though solicitations have spoiled the mystery, the journey of getting to the end is what matters as TBMWL is on a collision course with The Legion of Doom. Marquezs art is amazing and Joshua Williamson pens a good script, but knowing TBMWL will always win because he can outsmart everyone takes a bit of the drama away. The series is worth continuing, but given the overpowered villain, who knows for how long? Read Full Review
This series is about to turn up to eleven. I have no doubt in my mind that Williamson is going to make fans feel what's about to happen. It's been slow so far and we have been complacent. It's time to be jarred. Read Full Review

Overall, I really enjoyed this issue and I am so glad I got into the series. The story telling is amazing and with an art style that also really brings the story to life. I highly recommend if you haven't already, pick up this series and especially this issue. I know with the current Year of the Villain run there are a lot of side stories coming out and it can be a headache trying to keep up with them all but if you only want to dive into a few of the stories, do yourself a favor and make sure that this is one of them! Batman/Superman #3 is another strong chapter in the event that is building around Batman Who Laughs plot for the entire Multiverse. Reveals being spoiled aside, Joshua Williamson does a great job developing the latest Infected heroes that have joined Batman Who Laughs' Secret Six. How Batman and Superman respond to all that takes place has created greater interest into the endgame of this storyline. It's just to bad continuity issues hinder the full potential of Batman/Superman #3. Read Full Review
When all is said and done Batman/Superman #3continues to deliver a solid story. Though the plot feels like it might be starting to lose itself it still holds a lot of potential. Given what this creative team has already shown it can do I have little doubt they can continue to deliver a strong story. They just have to avoid letting Batman's detective work run away from them. Things are picking up a bit, but if you already know the Secret Six roster, you are probably getting as impatient as me waiting to get to the Fireworks factory. The cliffhanger does point this book in an even bigger direction, but we have a bit of time until that goes down and I want to enjoy the journey as well as the destination. David Marquez's art looks great, now if Joshua Williamson could pick up the pace a bit, we could have something special here. Let's hope we get there soon. Read Full Review

Given the Supergirl angle of this storyline of the 'Secret Six', the heroes infected by The Batman Who Laughs evil, I have felt a bit compelled to read. But this series is just the sort of dark take on the DCU that doesn't grab me. Read Full Review
With plenty of comics on stands today, I don't recommend that you pick up this book. If you are still interested, though, I recommend that you wait and see if the reviews get more positive before you buy. The art is definitely good, but, as far as I'm concerned, the writing isn't worth the money. Read Full Review
Wow, this thing was awesome. I'm loving this. The artwork is inspired.
this has been such a great series so far Joshua Williamson is one of my favorite writers and he continues to impress
This series has been fantastic so far! And it gives a good reason why Batman and Superman don't call in the rest of the JL. The artwork was also magnificent.
Prelude:
I have been loving Williamson's Batman/Superman so far. After last issue's cliffhanger, let's see if Williamson can keep up the quality.
The Good:
The interrogation scene was so well done. We're left unsure how much each player is controlling the situation and it is a blast to read.
I know people are getting tired of him by now, but I am still loving the Batman Who Laughs.
A lot of this is also about Batman's insecurities with his teammates. It's a side that we don't usually see with his planning and contingencies.
Everything within the Jim Gordon scene was spectacular. Of note were the conversation between Bruce and Jim and the reappearance of Rookie.
Just when you t more
Solid issue. If you tired of BWL you'll probably won't like it but if not Marquez and Williamsom are doing a wonderful job and the relation between Bruce and Clark is a blast to read
" Because you're my friends ? All you've ever done is hurt me. Since the day you got here, Gotham has fallen deeper into ruin. You're a failure to this city. You know how many people i've to bury because of the hell you've created in Gotham ? How many good cops have died because of you ? How many robins must died before you give up ? "
" This for everytime you disappared off the rooftop ! "
- JIM GORDAN
I love the series so far, it's constructed with a plan, and proper cliffhangers making you crave more, ASAP. It uses new pages to surprise the readers, shock and shake us. This month is no different - we get a genuinely good, unpredictable story, and few things to look forward to in the next issue. Then again, DC blew the surprise with leaks and announcements earlier this year, which completely ruined the suspense. I would honestly prefer not to know a thing about who is going to be infected, feeling the uncertainty and fear it may be someone I care about.
Nonetheless, with or without revealed solicitations, #3 is a joy to read. It's full of action, surprises and more personal moments showing the chemistry and (dis)trust between more
"I haven't seen a show this riveting since mom and dad took me to see Zorro"
Poor Rookie, but this book just keeps getting better.
I'm still into this. I just hope it doesn't overstay its welcome, as the Batman Who Laughs has been forced down our throats for so long now. (I don't even think it's been that long, it just feels like it.)
This series is off to a great start but the issues feel so short!
I love that the BWL is getting ready to take down Apex Lex, in what I hope is a dope fucking showdown. I'm still holding out for the Superboy-Prime vs Batman Who Laughs fight, because literally who wouldn't want that.
I mean like yeah, okay.
continues to be solid, but hasn't reached the level of hype that it seems to be promising. The story is pretty predictable and cliche. And all the talk of solicitations, some of these previews are in other issues, so how can we not read them? They're literally part of the physical issues sometimes, the first twist with Shazam was, and this one was all over the internet as well as in some issues. That's my main complaint is that the series is too predictable and gets spoiled on a constant basis. My other complaint is I'm growing tired of the Batman who laughs. Interesting villain sure, the mini series was great, but at this point who cares, this is starting to turn into a situation similar to the Hood during Bendis's Avengers run. Am more
Good art, but enough of the stupid Batman who laughs garbage!
