Batman #6 continues the series blockbuster reinvention through stirring character depth and gutsy action sequences. Things are really getting complicated for poor Bruce but we couldn't be in better hands than Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimnez to see it unfold. Read Full Review

Batman is DC's most important character, and Fraction understands the character and his world. I was smiling the entire time I was reading this issue, because the writing is spectacular right from the beginning. It picks up from the end of the last issue, and goes on from there. However, even if you didn't read the last issue, you won't be lost. The first few pages do a great job of putting you into the story regardless of whether you've been following the book. I thought I had seen Fraction's A-Game with his previous books, but his writing on Batman is a whole new level for him. The energy coming out of this book is nuts, and I love how excited I am to get a new issue of this caliber in my hands each month. Read Full Review

A monstrous threat pushes Batman into action while his family is dealt a serious blow in this latest chapter. Fraction's writing walks a fine line between the action and gravity of choices made. Jimnez & Morey's artwork continues its' spectacular images each page. This run of Batman is carving its' own legacy not to be missed. Read Full Review

Speaking of Robins, Tim Drake makes a huge decision regarding his role in the Bat-Family. Whilst seeing Tim step away from his heroic alter ego isn't a new thing, the fact that it is based on him wanting an honest relationship with his boyfriend that doesn't go hand in hand with the vigilante life, I can see his motivation for leaving the cape behind. It does however seem a little bit too easy to do, and lacks a sense of permanence. It certainly won't be too long before he decides to don the costume once more, as let's face it, heroes never stay out of the game for very long. Read Full Review

Batman 6 ends with an intriguing cliffhanger as a familiar face re-emerges. Itll be very interesting to see what Fraction, Jimenez, Morey and Cowles do with this unusual setup that could get readers hyped with the next steps or prove a little too early in the run to revisit this character. Batman #6 is an excellent continuation of Fraction's run as it starts to pull in even more elements from prior issues to help the run feel more connected than it had in the past. It does a lot of the dirty work that was necessary for the series, and though it doesn't make for a thrilling single issue, the work it does to prop up what came before and what's to come after is more than enough to keep the momentum going forward. Batman #6 looks good and sounds important, but functions like a holding pattern in a run that keeps hinting at big ideas then refuses to actually land them. If your comic budget is tight and you are not already ride or die on this arc, this issue does not justify itself as an essential purchase, since you can likely skip it and still track the broad strokes once the story finally wakes up. This book keeps getting better and better each month, it's now my favorite regular DCU book. Fraction is skilled at balancing multiple storylines and also with good character development, in addition to the requisite action. His characters act and talk like real people. Bruce is not the Morrison Uber-Bat here, thankfully. He's more human, flawed, humorous and relatable, which we haven't seen in a looong time. Jimenez's art and covers keep getting better and better, showcasing his talent and proving he's a rising DC superstar. Finally, there's this issue's cliffhanger: what a doozy! Cannot wait to eye where all of this is headed!

Ugh. Admittedly I fell off comics for sometime and coming back, to learn they turned Tim Drake gay? Disappointing and pure laziness from a creative standpoint... Asides from that, probably my favorite cover so far this year and a really enjoyable book. Loses a point for following lame political trends..

It's a satisfying conclusion to the first story arc, although it doesn't quite have the emotional impact Fraction seems to think it has (judging from the montage page showing the story's fallout.) The open scene with Bruce and Dr. Zeller talking over multiple panels with the same camera view is incredibly well done and there are a few other calm moments in which this issue really shines - something I didn't expect Jimenez to be able to pull off, since his style is mostly action-orientated.

A decent issue, though I lost a lot of respect for the scientist woman when she didn't realize that Batman and Bruce are the same person. I do like the art resembling Neil Adams.I also love Tim finally going away. He's been so destroyed by previous writers that I just hope they kill him off already. Retiring is just as good I guess. So, maybe some day a writer can return him to what he used to be. My Review Channel -https://youtu.be/70BRsY4UPMo

Read Brandon's review. I agree with everything he wrote. He beat me to it, and good for him. But don't worry, I have some thoughts of my own. Let's talk about crazy female doctor. She is reviving the Joker's messed up body in a Bacta tank. They communicate and the Joker is playing her. I hope this doesn't blow up in her face. This seems familiar. Where else have I seen the Joker playing mind games with a pretty female doctor trying to help him? I know I've seen this one before. We also see the mobsters mourning their dead because evil new guy in town hits hard. The space devoted to this advances the story not at all. Reporter guy takes kid with video to Harvey Bullock and they say there are no honest cops in Gotham. Apparently there a more
