Batman & Robin: Year One #4 is another fantastic entry in this series. Mark Waid and Chris Samnee have a clear vision and havent had to compromise on it thanks to the wonderful additions to the creative team. Things continue to spiral out of control, and that's before we find out who the main villain is a character I never expected to see in an Aquaman-centric story, but one that actually makes a lot of sense. That's a perfect example of what makes Mark Waid's writing so enjoyable he's so full of deep cuts when it comes to DC lore that he can mix and match them and never run out of stories. Waid, Samnee, and Lopes continue the action and do not let up on the Dynamic Duo. Between a close encounter with a watery death and entering a new school, there is so much to engross and entertain you with. Wonderful moments of seeing Batman act like an adult and Alfred pleading for Robin's trust, along with learning more about who this new terror is that endangers Gotham City. Patience is tested, and growth continues as the emergence of the Dynamic Duo entertains readers. Read Full Review
Batman and Robin: Year One #4 is another outstanding issue. Waid seems to excel at classic takes with a bit of modern updating. Sometimes all you need is fun, and this comic has that. If you enjoy the idea of Batman and Robin with a non-sociopathic Dark Knight Detective, then this is the comic for you. And it all looks glorious courtesy of Samnee and Lopes! Read Full Review

What a great comic.
I just really enjoy Mark Waid's writing on Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson's relationship. This showcases why both Batman and Robin are the iconic superhero-sidekick duo of all time. The art really works, and the story is still engaging and doesn't get overwhelmed with the many plot threads
I love this book! It reminds me why I fell in love with comics as a kid. However, this fourth issue drags a bit, but maybe I'm just not that much into villain's monologues.
