Marauders earned its place as the best of "Dawn of X" for a reason, and it shows no signs of giving up the title anytime soon. Read Full Review

I would say that what made this was an exhilarating issue was the work on the art team's end. This wasn't an action-packed issue. Which meant that the focus really needed to be on the characters themselves and the emotion we should be feeling from them during such an intense moment. Visually every scene was a treat between Kate and Emma commanding the room with their presence, and the look of fear which washed over Shaw's face as he realized this was his reckoning. One thing I particularly loved was the looks of indifference from these two ladies as they took everything they could from Shaw. Even that pound of flesh they took from him was a cringeworthy panel for the pain they thought he should suffer. What really brought it all home was having a colorist who knows how to make all those nasty bruises, afflictions, and expressions of pain look genuine.Overall, Marauders #16 was a thrill from start to finish for everything that was hyped up when Kate made it known that she was out for bl Read Full Review
After almost an entire year, Kate, her fans, and MARAUDERS readers get their payback. But, was it too long of a wait? Read Full Review
Overall this issue exacts its sweet revenge and is devilishly fun in its execution. Though there may be some questionable choices in the story, it overall is a pretty good addition to the series. Read Full Review
Marauders#16 is perfectly serviceable on its own, though the plot it sets up is far more intriguing. Read Full Review

The time has come for the ladies of the Hellfire Trading Company to deliver justice upon the Black King, Sebastian Shaw. Bursting through his front door, Kate begins her beating as Emma removes his mutant abilities. Humiliated and manhandled at every turn, even tossed from a window before a mortified Glob, Sebastian believes his retribution at an end following a brutal maiming by Lockheed. However a sip of whiskey proves t more

Story 4.5/5
After a case of "revenge called on account of crossover," Kate and Emma finally deliver Sebastian Shaw's comeuppance. It's wonderfully drawn and full of inventive bits of cruelty, but it's undercut by Kate and her pals choosing to leave him in about the dumbest possible position: hurt and humiliated, but all too capable of continuing to scheme against them.
" Thank you for your gift, Sébastien..."

This was good, I think.
While I'm interested in the long-term plan, it would have been nice to have seen Shaw brought before the council. Oh well.
I love a little maiming as much as the next person but something didn’t quite hit right for me on this one.
The Glob scene was neat
That was pretty fun
Average issue. Nice seeing Shaw get his comeuppance, but something about this issue felt very anti-climactic. It played out almost exactly as I thought it would: Kate and Emma humiliate and maim Shaw before allowing him to stay in the game. I wanted to see how this feud would come to a head and it certainly has now. The problem is I'm on the fence whether I want to see where it goes from here. Marauders #11-12 is where the series began to lose steam but then X Of Swords really helped derail it. I'll give it a few more issues to right itself.
Maybe this is the kind of issue that will pay off in the long run, but in isolation, this was kind of... meh.
The whole storyline is shallow, just like three kids fighting each other, or three Donald Trumps since they also run a country.
It's "Kitty" not "Kate", people loved Chris Claremont's Kitty Pryde, let it go, Gerry, maybe you'll sleep better at night if you do.
After 16 issues, the "payoff" was underwhelming. Shaw's still in the game, and they'll keep going after each other like Tom and Jerry.
The pay off it's not that interesting, really underwhelming, feel like I was reading ''X-Men Black Emma Frost'' all over again with Kate on it, move on writters. Now this plot it's over, hoping to see others characters like Bishop, Iceman, Callisto, Pyro and Christian get to do something beside being background.
