Eaton delivers some visually stunning moments throughout and the art does a beautiful job of matching the tone and mood of the story. Read Full Review
Wolverine #12 is yet another chapter in Wolverines quest to destroy the vampires, and its the best one yet. Percys characterization is top-notch as always, and the method used to defeat the vampires is both novel and makes perfect sense. As usual, he sets up a lot for the future, and even though the book is about to be interrupted yet again, its just going to serve to make audiences that much more rabid for what comes next. Eatons art is okay- theres nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. Wolverine continues to be the best X-Men book on the market. Read Full Review
Wolverine #12 continues it's streak of must read issues. Percy has been building up to something good since issue 1 and we're starting to see more of that with each passing book. The pencils and colors rule and enhance the reading experience. Wolverine continues to be one of the most fun books Marvel puts out. Read Full Review
Wolverine #12 is a great example of a writer and art team bringing several elements back together to reinvigorate interest in a story arc that has arguably been stretched over too long a period for various reasons. Good writing from Percy and rock-solid art with a strong finish means another good installment in series that has been high quality from the get-go. Read Full Review
As usual, we get a fantastic variant. This one courtesy of Mico Suayan. Read Full Review
While the dialogue was really stiff at times, I thought this was a solid issue of a series that has often struggled to fit into the rest of the X-Books. Read Full Review
Overall Wolverine had some slower moments but by the end of the issue it improved a lot and got pretty thrilling. If you’re a fan of Omega Red I’m sure you’ll love this issue. Read Full Review
Another solid issue for the Vampire storyline. Eaton's art still isn't really my favorite, but it's not bad whatsoever. I especially liked the frame where Louise was looking up at Father Cole in the beginning. I did also like the "assassin" line from Omega Red. It probably wasn't really that funny, but it made me laugh.
This isn't the most exciting issue, but every time they go back to X of Swords, I get excited again.
Fine issue.
Not a review (except to say that the vampire thing is past its due date), but seeing LOUISE in all-caps in the solicitation made me immediately picture a Bob's Burgers crossover.
It's a perfectly cromulent vampire-fightin' story that just completely fails to engage with me. One thing that stood out, though, was that the climax -- combining the big fight with Beast's advanced planning -- is a perfect model of how to spoil tension.
I liked where I thought this was going...To me this is a mess and Im probably out on this title after issue 15 unless something wild happens to bring me back in. I find the title to be a snooze personally..I just cant connect to anything with this pacing and style of story telling.
