DAYS OF OMEGA PAST!
WEEK 7 - WOLVERINE. OMEGA RED. Together? 'Nuff said.

X Lives Of Wolverine #4 is a wonderful penultimate issue. Percy is such a great writer of Wolverine, and it bleeds through on every page. He's able to take the problems of a time travel storyline and sidestep them expertly by making it all play into the present and then wraps the whole issue up with a great cliffhanger ending. Cassara, Vicentini, and Martin do an amazing job on the art, making sure this is one of the best looking X-Men books on the market, even rivaling issues of X-Men by Larraz and Gracia. Every issue of X Lives is better than the last, which sets things up for a great ending. Read Full Review
X Lives of Wolverine #4 masterfully expands Wolverines past canon in a cleverly scripted, brilliantly illustrated issue using clever reference points from past stories and existing canon for a thoroughly entertaining and drama-filled romp through Logan's past before the creative team drags us back into the present for a cliffhanger ending that'll make you exhale and say, Damn, Bub! X LIVES OF WOLVERINE #4 showcases the story finally hitting its groove with a detailed onslaught of action and in-depth story beats that make this issue significant, captivating, intricate, and fascinating. Even though the composition was a bit off in some of the smaller panels, this creative team still contributed with some dynamic, and almost passionate scenes. Read Full Review
X Lives of Wolverine #4serves as a meditation on the clawed Canadian's long history while also setting the stage for a final battle between him and Omega Red. With both X LivesandX Deaths hurtling to their finales, I'm looking forward to seeing where Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men go from here. Read Full Review
The biggest takeaway from X Lives of Wolverine many will find is how this issue has something important to say. It adds new info around time travel, but also new context about what is going on in the series too. In the case of Wolverine's time travel exploits, what goes around comes around in an exciting week seven. Read Full Review

‘X Lives Of Wolverine' adds a few new wrinkles in its penultimate issue but mostly continues to walk in the same circles with very little actually answered about the hows and whys of the plot. It's a visually gorgeous series that does justice to the character and the premise, moody and horrifying all at the same time. Read Full Review
The story is passable, but the artwork is the star. Read Full Review
This is perfect, it's amazing, just like every issue has been of this masterpiece of a story has been. I am absolutely blown away by this story!
i am afraid of this ending...
I still think a more linear narrative would have benefitted this book, but I do like this. Throughout all of the different time periods, Percy writes everything well. Also, Cassara continues to be an awesome artist, so that definitely helps things. He always shines when the action gets going, especially when it's on the crazier, more violent side.
I may be giving the creators too much credit on this one. The artists work together well, but both of them have done better in prior issues of these 2 series.
And on the script side, I'm convinced that Mr. Percy made a mistake by committing to the "X" in the title and cramming in 10 timey-wimey adventures. Even though some of them are dismissed with a panel or two, it's still too much; it makes these middle issues feel like they're in a holding pattern.
But the end of this issue kicks us out of the pattern and on to a conclusion. And the adventures are hardly terrible; there's formidable continuity work and tons of cool action.
Again, solid. I enjoyed this.
The art continues to shine as Cassara and Martin are the only stellar thing happening here. The narrative just doesn't have the punch that Percy is trying to make it be.
