X Lives Of Wolverine #3 raises the stakes wonderfully. Percy continues to be the best Wolverine writer in a long time, and Cassara and Martin are bringing his script to life perfectly. The developments in this issue bode well for the rest of the series and change things up wonderfully. Read Full Review
The issue ends with the horrific realization that as Jean guides Logan to this place it is Logan himself who has been taken over by Omega Red. This is an excellent twist capping off an incredible issue that takes us on a true journey without making it feel rushed. The art gives all of this the depth and epic scope it deserves. We are left at a true cliffhanger that will bring us all into the second half of this epic. Read Full Review
X LIVES OF WOLVERINE #3 raises the stakes for #Wolverine as he begins to realize his healing factor can only do so much! How long will he be able to keep this up? Read Full Review
X Lives of Wolverine #3takes a drastic turn in its narrative, as Omega Red goes to desperate measures to get his revenge on Wolverine. The Wolverine saga has now hit its halfway point, and things aren't looking good for the clawed Canadian or the X-Men - especially now that there's a Terminator-esque Wolverine running around in X Deaths of Wolverine. X LIVES OF WOLVERINE #3 delivers some killer moments and is absolutely littered with dynamic action and powerful moments that will keep readers all in. Yet, I couldn't help but take a step back and scratch my head with a few glaring plot holes that would ultimately wrap this story up post haste. Read Full Review
X Lives of Wolverine #3 continues to be a thrill, featuring some of the coolest art in comics of 2022. It's also a story that continues to make more sense with each issue, but it's also a great "turn off your brain and just go with it" action fest. Read Full Review
'X Lives of Wolverine' is everything that the title will tell you that it is, yet for some reason, it feels like there could be far more than what one would expect to get in a Wolverine-centered book. The nostalgia-heavy trip through the lives of Wolverine is beautifully rendered and has a ton of great life to them which helps the journey greatly. Read Full Review
X Lives of Wolverine continues to be the slightly better of the two largely underwhelming Wolverine focuses miniseries leading into the "Destiny of X" era. That's mainly due to Joshua Caassara's artwork. Read Full Review
x lives of wolverine #3 is probably my favorite one so far. This has been one of my favorite stories ever. Percy obviously knows wolverine and X-Men history extremely well. This is perfect
Okay, this was a lot better. Things are making more sense and feeling less chaotic and random. Joshua Cassara's art has been great so far.
Best one yet.
I feel similar with this issue to how I felt with the previous one, but this worked a bit better than that one for me. I don't know what it was specifically, unfortunately. I'm also writing this review a few hours after actually reading it, so that might be a factor. Either way, it was good, despite still being a little all over the place with its time jumps, in my opinion.
Solid. This is a really interesting idea that I feel carries on naturally from Percy's X-Force run.
Percy seems to have done his homework on Wolvie's history which I appreciate but I still cringe at some of the lines. A better issue than the last one, for sure.
Well, everything added to the story here is either confirmation of what we already know or stuff that seems extraneous. I'm also not a big fan of the way the book drops into pure reason-free action movie logic in the back half. Logan's characterization is all too familiar, playing the tired old warrior to the hilt.
At least it's still gorgeous to look at! And the individual scenes are all pretty satisfying in themselves (Once you accept that their purpose is delivering memorably cool moments, not pushing the story forward rationally).
Because I consider this issue a bit of a fumble, suddenly Deaths is pulling ahead as my favorite of these 2 series.
Bafflegab.
