Batman: The Knight is easily one of my favorite new releases from DC in recent years and it deserves to be read by as many people as possible. Read Full Review
This has taken a story that everyone knows and added so many new flourishes and characters to it. It's one of the best superhero origin retellings of all time. Read Full Review
This was a satisfying resolution to the Batman prequel story, informing readers about a pivotal time in Batman's life while not straying too far from the established mythology. It was a fun, if not necessary, read for old and new fans alike. Read Full Review
Di Giandomenico delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. There are some wonderful pages that showcase the scope of the world of this story and the action is visually thrilling. Read Full Review
Batman: The Knight #10 ends in a way that feels earned with incredible captioning detailing Bruce's final transformation into the perfectionist vigilante. It may play out in expected ways this is a prequel, after all but it's still a satisfying conclusion to a series that has defied expectations and worked from beginning to end. Read Full Review
Overall, Batman: The Knight started well, focused on some clever background history involving Bruces maturation, and slyly began to weave Ghost-Maker into the makeup of Batman. Nonetheless, along the way, Zdarsky switched up the pacing and ultimately didnt have enough time or space to fit in what we all really wanted to see. Batman: The Knight overall gets a solid 8 to 8.5, however, Batman: The Knight #10 itself comes in much lower. Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God Bless! Read Full Review
On the whole, Batman: The Knight has been great, but I don't feel that it quite stuck the landing. Read Full Review
This final issue is fast-paced and action-packed, but fails to satisfyingly justify the overall premise of the series as a whole. Transforming Bruce's entire pre-Batman training into one continuous story is restrictive more than anything else, and having Ra's as his final challenge does not work for so early in his career. It's great to see the lessons learned over the course of the series come together so that Bruce can prevail, and the art makes that triumph compelling to watch, even if critical turning point which brings him there feels flimsy. This series was fire!
A really good wrap up to a series that frankly didn't need to exist. Zdarsky's take on Batman's beginnings is interesting enough, and well written enough, to help me get over the fact that the path is so beaten, it's looking like a police officer's wife.
There are like dozens of takes into the dark knight and i still got chills whith this one.
More of a rating for the entire series, although the last issue was great.
A great ending to very good storyline. I know, Zdarsky rarely disappoints me, but I was surprised how much I liked this, even when at the beginning I wasn't that interested.
It was great to have Carmine Di Giandomenico's artwork the past ten months and this was a solid take on a old tale.
Decent mini series, won't be remembered as one of the best, but it's fine
The story was ok but overall the series ends without adding anything meaningful to the Batman mythos. Overall Bruce just came across as a self-centered brat throughout the series, he took what he could from his respective mentors but didn’t offer anything in return or really give any of them a reason to go out of their way to train him.
Wanted to like this more, but it just didn't really do it for me.
