Bruce Wayne has traveled the world learning from the best to be the best. Class time is now over, and the final exam is here! Enter...the Demon's Head!
What makes this work so well is that we can see the glimmer of Batman emerging through Bruce's training, but he's not there yet. This Bruce is much more flawed, much more vulnerable than we usually see him, and that makes this one of the most compelling Bat-stories in a while. Read Full Review
This penultimate issue is a pulse-pounding, sweat-inducing, beautifully rendered thrill ride. If it doesn't leave you gasping you've got no heart. Read Full Review
It was a gamble to focus on Bruce Wayne's year's training to be Batman, but it has paid off. The second to last issue, Batman: The Knight #9, shows Bruce Wayne is very close to becoming Batman. Much like Batman, the creators have earned an ending that feels genuine and true to the characters, be it a new skillset or a revelation that has made Bruce closer to becoming the greatest hero to ever live. The essence and creativity of rewriting continuity in a genuine way to make the pieces fit together logically are very impressive by Zdarsky. Readers will be enthralled from start to finish. I highly recommend picking up Batman: The Knight #9, as well as grabbing up as many back issues as you can to get caught up. Its definitely one of the best Batman titles on the market today and is certainly the best Batman book this week! Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God Bless! Read Full Review

Carmine Di Giandomenico delivers some great art throughout the issue. The action is visually stunning and the style perfectly captures the tone and tension of the story. Read Full Review
The month-long wait for the final issue of this series is going to be a long one. Read Full Review
Batman: The Knight #9 delivers a new spin on the first time Bruce and Ra's al Ghul met, moving it back to before he even became Batman. Some of the changes offer a refreshing new modernization to the fateful encounter, while others feel unnecessary or even detrimental to the dynamic it's meant to be establishing. It's no small task to try and rewrite such a famous Batman story, fitting it into a new Batman origin no less, and Zdarsky responds to the challenge with mixed results. Read Full Review
Ah, it's all been leading to this, BATMAN'S big philosophy.
(Also I couldn't help but see the two having to lip sync for their life)
It's been a (mostly) fantastic series thus far. Let's hope the final issue sticks the landing
I really want to like this more...but I'm finding Zdarsky's writing just kind of basic. The story isn't original, and I knew that going in, but I'm not finding much about the way it's being told to be all that interesting either. I don't know...it's good I guess, it's just nothing overly special.
This issue was incredibly boring considering it was meant to portray one of the most pivotal moments in Bruce’s life
