Don't worry, Peter David isn't as much of a pussy as you are.

Dark Crisis: Young Justice #2 continues this nostalgic look back at Peter David's classic series. The original Young Justice series was one of my all-time favourite comics, and Meghan Fitzmartin and Laura Braga have managed to capture much of the feel of that series. This series is proving to be a nostalgic look back while providing an interesting story that will hopefully set up new incarnation of the team for the Infinite Frontier era. Read Full Review
Final Verdict: It's both thoughtful and engaging. If you like these characters, you'll enjoy seeing them in this title. Read Full Review
It's hard to judge this comic yet, because it feels like we're being kept at arm's length, but it's highly intriguing. Read Full Review
. The commentary is by no means subtle, but sometimes anvils need to be dropped. But why all of this is happening in a Dark Crisis tie-in series remains to be seen. Read Full Review
I am predisposed to love any and all forms of Young Justice, but I genuinely disdain what Meghan Fitzmartin is giving us here. It's clear she doesn't really know the characters - or what they've experienced since their time on Young Justice ended two decades ago - The meta critiques are fine. Still, she is simply not a good enough writer to take those critiques and make them into a compelling story. Read Full Review
Dark Crisis: Young Justice #2 was another swing and miss for this tie-in to DC Comics latest big event. The only thing that saves Dark Crisis: Young Justice #2 certain revelations with where Conner Kent is at this point his life. All the other developments in this comic book fail to connect with the way Meghan Fitzmartin intends to explore the Young Justice generation or expanding on the Dark Crisis narrative. This title fails on multiple levels. It fails to write an engaging social commentary, to support the event that it is a part of, and to write an enjoyable story with these characters. Outside of the art, I cannot find any redeeming qualities here. A bad second issue is when I consider dropping a title. Unfortunately, a drop recommendation is exactly what this issue warrants. God, the seething and cope coming off of these reviews is almost too much to handle. This isn't the best comic ever written, but it does get at the heart of why blind nostalgia and yearning for "simpler times" is not only damaging, but it's also completely inaccurate to what the past was really like. This comic calls out the crowd that pitifully wanks itself to the idea of a comic that never existed. These same people will go on to support and send so much money to poorly produced projects that they may never even see, being sold on a false nostalgia. It's sad, and I think this comic does a good job exploring those themes.
Please don't make me miss Bendis's run
A comic written for fans of Young Justice… by a person who clearly HATES Young Justice.
Peter David never held back from trading words with other creators over the years but I would guess he will sit this one out. Not because it didn’t piss him off, I’m sure it did, but because he’s worried speaking out will get him cancelled.
This is probably the worst series I read in a while
ironically I don't need the benefit of 20 years hinsdight to see how deeply, deeply messed up this comic is
on the other hand, i guess we all owe Meghan (because of course her name is Meghan) our thanks for tripping over the cord to the comic industry's life support, and ripping it straight out of the wall. somebody had to do it, and clearly we hadn't the strength.
Hey Fitzmartin! Find another job. Maybe you'll do McDonald's better, cause you can't write for shite. Even if we take out the stupid pronouns presentations, your writing is garbage! Let competent people write. This is even worse than that issue where Stephanie says it's the best day ever because Tim stopped calling and left her for a dude. Bruh, you're an incompetent writer! Actually scratch the McDonald's comment, I wouldn't trust you to get a bottle of mineral water right.
And DC? You're driving your company to bankruptcy. You're ruining your once awesome characters and everything the people before you have built.
SJW ruining comics what’s new right!
Using comics Elseworld stories to put homophobic words in the mouth of a major costumed hero helps no one. Yes, of course, people will blame Meghan Fitzmartin (and given her educational background even more controversial). But let's be clear DC Comics editors approve this and DC Comics publishes this. As reviewer William Martin writes: "This is a meanspirited comic." Yes it is, and one that will be used to spread hate.
So this is not JUST a Meghan Fitzmartin problem. This is once again DC Comics editors problem. This is an Anne Leung DePies problem (as Daniel Cherry III is not around to blame anymore let's be clear). And yes, this is a Jim Lee problem. And let's be clear, Anne and Jim didn't start with DC yesterday. There are no more
terrible writing, inaccurate, taken from tumblr, cheap excuse to shit on nostalgia.
