With most of the Justice League off Earth, John Constantine and Batman lead a covert team on a mission so insane it could have only been hatched by the man they call Hellblazer! But time is running out to save the infected on Earth-because a fate worse than death is coming!
This is like Tom Taylor took all of the DC action figures and dumped them all over his playroom and started from there in creating this story. And boy does it work! Read Full Review

irst, need more Etrigan. We only get a few pages of him. Maybe DC should give Etrigan and Constantine a Black Label team-up miniseries? Read Full Review
Just as I was getting a little tired of the DCeased story, DCeased: Dead Planet #5 and Tom Taylor pulled me back in. Constantine has a plan, and he doesn't care who he screws over to save humanity. So many people are going to die! Is it weird that I can't wait to see that? Read Full Review
The penultimate chapter of this spellbinding epic delivers a tightly plotted, character-focused, action-packed, and tragic episode that'll leave readers eager to find out how it all ends. Read Full Review
Trevor Hairsine does some great work with the art in this issue. The characters are filled with detail and the action is great as well. A really great looking issue filled with intense imagery. Read Full Review
DCeased: Dead Planet #5 is a great issue with consistent art and story. I really enjoyed the team dynamics that were created in this issue -- they add to the overall story, even if this particular issue wasn't quite as action-packed as some previous ones. I'm sure will read amazingly in the collected edition, though, and it provides great setup for the next two issues. Read Full Review
DCeased: Dead Planet #5 is another winner of an issue. It reminds us that there are numerous threats on the horizon and battles to come beyond just finding a cure. There's not one but two massive threats that are ready to attack and just cause absolute destruction and chaos. It's interesting that the previous issue got us to think ahead while this issue dials it back to remind us there's even more to come. Read Full Review
On the upside, Tom Taylor brings back two staples of the series"a tragic death and a surprise superhero mash-up"that keep the issue energized. Read Full Review
DCeased: Dead Planet #5 finalized all the set-up that this story needs to have as we head into a conclusion that is shrouded by unknown. Our heroes have done everything in their power to turn things around with how things currently are in the DCeased version of the DC Universe. While there is that positive Tom Taylor and Trevor Hairsine reminds the characters involved and readers to never feel safe. That strong reminder will help keep readers on the edge of their seats as we now reach the endgame of DCeased: Dead Planet. Read Full Review
If you look past some of the lazy narrative choices, a very entertaining story will emerge, and so I still recommend this issue in the end. I just hope that Taylor will have stopped taking the easy way out by the time the series' finale arrives. Read Full Review
This is why I love comic books and why I love DC comic books in particular.
Let Tom Taylor do whatever he wants please.
" Welcome to the familly, Rose. You'll fit right un. Especially if you brought complexe, unresolved father issues."
- BATMAN (DAMIAN WAYNE)
Can't believe there is still life (heh) and novelty in what is essentially an Elseworlds zombie story. John Constantine is written fantastically well here; he's not the Vertigo John Constantine, but he fits perfectly in this world of superheroes. The other characters all have great moments as well.
Taylor writes some great dialogue but everything Jason Todd and Rose Wilson holds this issue back from a higher score. First, Taylor let’s us know that Rose and Jason are married pretty early in the issue, which should have been obvious foreshadowing. A couple pages later Jason is killed by Freddy Marvel, and the only reason was to give Rose more motivation. But wait, don’t waste your emotions on his death, he might be resurrected with Cyborg’s cure. Just because this is an alt universe doesnt mean Taylor should treat characters like Jason and Roy like shit.
Honestly, I’m extremely here for Constantine and Swamp Thing teaming up to bully Dr. Fate.
What's wrong with you DC WHY IN ALL VERSIONS DO YOU HAVE TO KILL JASON ??? !!! I hated that part, however it is good but the death of Jason seemed little original just to give more prominence to Damian, who by the way in this series is charming.
I liked this one a lot more than earlier issues. While Constantine isn't in top form here, he's still very entertaining.
It was great, Constantine being a soulless thing, the only thing I don't understand is why DC loves murdering Jason so much, I think the dynamics between him and Damian would have been great, I was really starting to like Damian.
