VOTE. DIE. REPEAT.
Putting the "Meat" in office meeting. Trust me, bad spelling is the least of the Quiet Council's problems as everything hits the fan.

‘Immortal X-Men' #9 unleashes the most sinister member of the Quiet Council as the series move ever closer to the upcoming ‘Sins of Sinister' event, in a really darkly fun & informative issue that moves a lot of the brewing plots forward. This is a series that continues to evolve and show off just how many things can be done with such an array of characters that span the range from complicated to amoral to just pure evil. Immortal X-Men #9 is a perfect thrill ride. Gillen keeps things light, but the stakes never feel unimportant. Werneck and Curiels art complements the script beautifully. Immortal X-Men remains an amazing book. Read Full Review
For a story involving almost ludicrous amounts of physical carnage, this story was both hilarious, deeply worrying, and very, very fun. Read Full Review
Another solid entry from Gillen, 'Immortal X-Men' #9 keeps readers in the (time) loop on Council goings-on, while also continuing to build towards Sins of Sinister. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Men #9 is a delightfully deranged deconstruction of the lives of Moira X as presented in House of X/Powers of X. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Men #9 sets up the next issue but doesn't give Kate Pryde the attention I was expecting based on previous issues. Read Full Review
Wow...just, wow. This was without a doubt one of the single greatest issues I have ever read in my entire life. What an absolute masterclass from Kieron Gillen. I'm the best kind of shook right now...
I love the work with Mr Sinister in this book
Wow!!!! I absolutely love everything about this issue! This is brilliant! I love the direction this is heading and can't stop thinking of all the possible scenarios that could play out. This is the best I love it
God, this was good!
The plot certainly develops with a vengeance. Sinister is at his sneering, villainous best, and the other characters sound good too. It's illustrated with admirable detail and impressive gore. The pace varies a little too much, but the story flows smoothly through a complicated structure. Taken altogether, it's a nigh-perfect issue.
Good lord, I love this book. Sinister's ten attempts to kill the Quiet Council were very entertaining to read, with credit going to the fantastic duo of Kieron Gillen on the scripts and Lucas Werneck on the art. Gillen has consistently made Sinister a very fun and interesting character throughout this series, while Werneck brings so much detail and intricacy to his pages. Great stuff once again from this series.
This was so entertaining lol
This book continues to be great as Gillen presents Sinister's very own HoxPox. He really played on our expectations perfectly this month. Each issue of Immortal X-Men has focused primarily on one character and in having Sinister interrupt Kitty Pryde's turn to take the lead, it added a nice little layer of meta to the story at hand.
Lots of really cool things to notice in this issue too.
- Sinister never kills Storm in any of his attempts, instead opting to choose a time when she's not present.
- The Dark Beast appearance and the little comment that Sinister knows what 616 Beast is up to.
- The various timelines from issue #3 also appear to be converging on one singular point too, as Judgment Day appears more
If there's one star at the top of Gillen's Christmas tree it's Sinister, a character he pretty much owns now. Maybe his best issue yet of Immortal?
Wow, was this solid! I'm sure it is paving the way for next year's "Sins of Sinister" event, but good Lord! So, so much bits and gore! And the things Sinister has set in motion, so intriguingly interesting!
Some will piss and moan, that this wasn't what Jonathan Hickman had intended! To that I say, "Poppycock!" Hickman has said he left notes behind, and while I believe Steve Orlando is •RUINING• MARAUDERS, I think Gillen is killing, doing the an awesome job, one that I believe Hickman would approve, and appreciate!
Weird! X-Men meet Deathloop.
A good issue that leaves me wanting Sins of Sinister. I feel like there is a lot of potential.
Edit: Gillen is cooking but I have to give Werneck his props. Looking back at the art I really like his style and he is improving his action sequences a lot.
