Thing is, where did Anne's symbiote come from? And why isn't she under codex's control?
"VENOM BEYOND" CONTINUES!
• Eddie Brock and his son, Dylan, are trapped in an unfamiliar world!
• But if there's one thing Eddie's good at, it's making friends, right?
Rated T+
With Annie telling the history of this dimension and her Dylan and Eddie facing his mistakes with Scorpion, this issue trades action for emotional content. The creative team has done a good job of marrying the flashbacks with the present story and the next issue will undoubtfully be an interesting one. Read Full Review
Hey look it's Scorpion! Oh he's gone already. Well that was fun while it lasted. Read Full Review
The past can be haunting, and this issue delivers just enough of that to keep it entertaining throughout. Read Full Review
This one has a lot of backstory, but unless you have been following this storyline already you will not know what for. Read Full Review
The penultimate chapter to Beyond left me lukewarm. Even with the fanservice, I didn't have fun with this issue. I could have gotten behind an issue where as we got answers newer questions are brought up, but any questions I had left felt like they came up for the wrong reasons. Read Full Review
Really cool alternate reality for Eddie to go through. Some great looking pages really made this issue...if only Venom would have killed scorpion...
I don't understand the lackluster critical reception to this arc. I guess it's the art, but honestly, I doubt it's even worth figuring out. I liked the issue. I just wish it wasn't so brief.
The comic lost a bit in quality after Ryan Stegman had left, but it’s still a really great comic book

It's okay. I'm not totally invested in this story arc but it is not bad. I'm glad that we got another artist for this as this much more slower issue than the last one. But Anne is written well and explains how this universe works. This only makes me more excited for King in Black.
Very short issue, but it was a fine glimpse into what happened and what might happen.
Solid instalment with good art.
Annie tells the story of how her son killed the world and became Codex. 616 Dylan shows off his own powers. This issue has solid action, compelling backstory, and a quantum art upgrade. Exactly what was needed to bring me back onboard this arc.
Pretty solid issue that explained more about codex and who he is and set the stage for the conclusion. It wasnt bad at all just also not the best weve seen from the series. Stinks that Virus turned out to be just a dud.

Ok comic. Much like good part of what Cates writes.
