Trust us, Marvel Fans - before the INFINITY WARS begin to rage comes this shocking chapter of the cosmic saga that you will not want to miss! The ramifications of this issue will be felt throughout Infinity for years to come! We can say NO MORE!
Rated T+
Infinity Wars Prime is not some silly cash grab, this is a serious title that already has consequences. Gerry Duggan is playing with some top tier characters and that's not a good thing for any of them. The art team was spectacular and pretty much flawless. This is a book you need to buy. I was feeling pretty dubious about this mini-series, which seems like an attempt to jump on the movie bandwagon - but so far, they actually seem to have a big story to tell - and one that may be worth the telling. Read Full Review
Infinity Wars Prime is deserving to be on your pull list and I think you might be surprised how good it is. Read Full Review
A great start that I hope to not regret buying into by the end. Read Full Review
Infinity Wars Prime #1 did its job to build excitement for Marvel's big event. The scenes with Loki, Doctor Strange and Adam Warlock set-up several intriguing storylines to follow when Infinity Wars begins. The addition of the shocking death at the hands of a brand new threat, Requiem, established how anything can happen in the upcoming Infinity Wars event. If your a fan of the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe I recommend Infinity Wars Prime #1. Read Full Review
While the story is a little slow at places, there are some impressive scenes that I loved, especially those in the final few pages. I also think the artwork is fantastic, so its worth checking out if you've been reading all the other "Prime" early issues, but casual fans should be aware, this isn't anything like Infinity War the movie. Infinity Wars: Prime #1 is the most fun you can have with a Marvel event. Read Full Review
Infinity Wars Prime gets the ball rolling. Gerry Duggan continues to make his mark on cosmic Marvel. This story feels like a true culmination of everything he's been writing since All-New GOTG. Read Full Review
Infinity Wars: Prime #1 has an ending that you definitely will not see coming and is a great start to this event. I am not the biggest Marvel Cosmic fan or a fan of events, but this one has me hooked for a little while just to see how the things that happen in this issue shake out. I do have some hang-ups story- and art-wise, but overall this was pretty interesting, and the whole Marvel Universe should be on notice after this issue! Read Full Review
Aside from the final few pages, there isn’t much going on in this issue. Most of it is confusingly plotted and the art as a whole isn’t very good. I didn’t have high hopes for this event but now I’m walking into it even more weary. Read Full Review
Like so many other event primers before it, there's a real question as to why this issue needed to exist. Read Full Review
This has me hooked im very excited for infinity wars.

OVERVIEW
Infinity Wars: PRIME #1
a) Writing/Script= 8.4/10 (G. Duggan)
b) Art= 9.0/10 (Mike Deodato)
c) Colours= 9.3/10 (Frank Martin)
Average= 8.9/10
The book started of slow but quickly picked up as it progressed. There were so many things referenced in this book that i found myself just lost due to the lack of knowledge from older comic books. There is also that one big moment (a death) that might have shocked the hell out of other readers, but for me, that death was already spoiled thanks to youtube. I wish there was a buildup to that death though because it happened so quick!
The art in this book was what i was waiting for these Infinity Countdown books to have. The art is sooo more
I do somewhat wonder why we had to have a Prime issue when this could have just been the first issue. Besides that, it was good and threw out some new questions and a crazy surprise.
Enjoyed it and is promising. Duggan is doing well so far. Nice art from Deodato matched with great colors by Martin.
Not a bad setup to the main event, although not much has happened except for that big twist at the very end. Treat this as an issue #6 of the Countdown series.
RIP Thanos.
I enjoyed this book. It helps get you ready for the real fight to come and sets ups the Big Bad for Infinity War. As a story it is just Ok and likely a good entry for anyone that did not read Infinity Countdown. Deodato's art is really great for this series and I look forward to the rest of this event series.
I didn't understand why Warlock seem to ignore that strange have the gem after the call he made at the end of the Infinity Countdown.
Cover - I take the variant cover ... Love loki in the library. Related. 1/2
Writing - There is some surprise but I wait for more than this. 2/3
Arts - Love the layout & each panel. 3/3
Feeling - Mixed 0/2
Warlock and Dr. Strange fret about Soul World; Thanos joins the too-long list of villains teased and then discarded as the event's Big Bad. I'm starting to really struggle to come up with positives about this event, but there's no shortage of negatives. Add on a notably lazy serving of art by one of my least-favorites and this issue ends up being functionally competent but thoroughly unenjoyable for me.
the countdown didnt make sense. and now this issue makes no sense. every moment is short and confusing. the art is good. they should just offer the comics with art and no talk-bubbles. id give it a higher score.
