Final ThoughtsMoon Knight #7 packs and long-awaited punch as Marc Spector works through the criminal underworld to track down the deadly Zodiac. Every panel exudes a badass character that's not to be messed with, accomplished by great writing and phenomenal art. As good as the art is, it's made even better by Rosenberg's special coloring touches. This is the issue that feels like a proper return for Moon Knight. Read Full Review
Sabbatini delivers some great art throughout the story. The action is bold and beautifully detailed. The style of the art is visually exciting and filled with energy. Read Full Review
With all the hype surrounding the release of the trailer for the Moon Knight series, now's a really good time for you to jump onboard this comic. It's only 7 issues deep, so it's easy to get caught up, and it's a great comic that I'm sure you're going to thoroughly enjoy. Read Full Review
Moon Knight #7 is a solid issue with a great sense of style about it. It delivers action, humor, and mystery in a combination that makes it really fun. It's a concept we've seen many times before but it's done in such a way it's hard to not sit back and just enjoy the ride. Read Full Review
Moon Knight #7 isn't the biggest step forward, but it still keeps the train moving and the intrigue piqued, so it's a win across the board. Read Full Review
One other important note about the issue, Moon Knight #7 reveals the identity of who Tigra has been keeping an eye on Marc Spector for, an Avenger who had quite a memorable run-in with Moon Knight not that long ago. Yeah, I can see why Black Panther would want to keep tabs on what new trouble Moon Knight could get into. Read Full Review
This is such a fun issue spinning out of the chaos of last issue (where Moon Knight, Zodiac, and Hunter's Moon all clashed). We get to see more Tigra. We get to see 8-Ball return from the first issue. We get to see Moon Knight tear through villains. This issue is fun and brutal and explains to us one of the reasons why Moon Knight is so interesting - he is deeply unpredictable.
I love this series a lot and this issue brings so much to light, while also keeping readers interested in things to come.
Another really good issue for the series. Marc continues to be absolutely badass, and this is seen particularly in his confrontation with 8-Ball. I enjoyed seeing him fight with multiple different villains while attempting to learn more about Zodiac and, while I am really missing Alessandro Cappuccio's art here, Sabbatini's art isn't bad and it fits in with Moon Knight. I'm looking forward to where this Zodiac story goes, because so far it has just been very entertaining.
Back on track. I really love this book, and I hope it lasts awhile.
Another fantastic and surprisingly gruesome issue in McKay’s Moon Knight run. Zodiac is really being set up to be one of Marc’s most brutal adversaries yet. But as a stand-alone book, it had great pacing and excellent interactions between the characters. Everyone continues to feel natural and snappy enough to feel right at home in some darker version of the MCU.
This is an elegant take on a standard-issue "follow a trail of lesser baddies to the big bad" sequence. The script gives Marc plenty of opportunities to sound badass, and the scenes are cut together with style.
I actually like the dynamism of the art; some of the characters seem poised to leap off the page. But the finish (or lack thereof) really irks me. What's with the ink spatter everywhere? Why so few details? And why did the artist fail to draw important things that the dialogue explicitly says should be visible?
Moon Knight is having the best ride he's had in a long while with this strong series, the upcoming Disney show, plus Marvel will even get him one of those Black&White books.
A pretty good read. It was weak compared to the last issue. The art wasn't as good and the plot was a little dull but, it's still an enjoyable read with some good moments.
