This issue is a fun undersea romp that captures the atmosphere of a "terror from the deep" themed storyline perfectly through brilliantly drawn and colored art while making sure to pay attention to character voice and dialogue accuracy through the writing. X-Force #16 is a little heavy handed with the metaphor at its center, but Percy makes up for it with the deft character that has become his stock in trade. The issue is also pretty exciting, with Cassaras art looking great and really getting across the gravity of the situation. While that may be a far cry from the high fantasy antics of X of Swords, X-Force #16 gets the team back into the dirty business of protecting Krakoa from the threats that can't be talked down. While the story this time around feels a little disconnected from the line, Benjamin Percy, Joshua Cassara, Guru-eFX, and their merry band of mutant murderers work to find their feet again in the wake of the latest X-event. Loved everything about this x-force continues to be one of my favorite books

Kid Omega finally got the girl and Wolverine shit his pants, all of this, while Namor revealed his stance on his own status as "The First Mutant". X-Force continues to the best mutant team in the 616 and beyond.
Oh and Cassara' paints ? Gorgeous.

Actually had me thinking and I enjoyed it a lot. Cassara is a master of his craft.

X-Force completely fails to rein in the horrible Krakoa-cancer monster at the bottom of the sea. But they accidentally attract the attention of somebody better-suited to fixing the problem, so … mission accomplished? This was an entertaining little mission-meal enhanced with a few appetizer-sized bits of characterization. And the art was gorgeous. It's not filling enough to be great, but it's definitely good -- and prepared with undeniable talent.

You see, THIS is what always gets me about X-Force. Darkness, creepiness... But also humour and mystery. Still think this is the best Mutant series running.

A fun issue overall, but not my absolute favorite of the series or anything. Cassara's art is good, of course, and I think Percy wrote an entertaining story. I especially liked the moment when Kid Omega walked back up to Forge and Wolverine after being kissed by Phoebe.

Journeying to the depths of the ocean surrounding Krakoa, X-Force searches for a downed sea vessel to eradicate the infection causing its zombified crew from attacking their shores. Unprepared for the horrors they would face, all hope is nearly lost if not for the timely arrival of Namor! Dispatching the mutants home, Namor clears the parasitic infection and warns X-Force to never threaten the safety of his kingdom again or face dire consequences.

I just love Namor. He’s always been such a badass. I miss his time among the X books. The artwork inside this book was amazing. Every page was a work of art.

I love Cassara. Percy is a good writer....I just wish he would write less Quentin and Wolverine

Not the best issue, but there were some cool ideas and visuals.
