As a fan of isekai manga, I was eager to jump into A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation Vol. 1and it exceeded my expectations. Lizel's journey is just beginning and I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter in his story.

Crush and Lobo #1 is a ton of fun. Every aspect of the book is wonderfully done, and it's completely accessible by readers that don't have previous experience with Crush as a character. 

While Future State: Wonder Woman is only a two-issue mini-series, Jones tweeted in November of 2020 that Yara Flor would be returning after the Future State event ends. And according to DC Comics own blog, the CW is developing a Wonder Girl live-action series that would star a younger Yara Flor, before she took the mantle of Wonder Woman. Jump into Future State: Wonder Woman #1 and get a head start on learning all about Yara Flor. 

Despite seeing Harley in what first appears to be a rather bleak situation as a prisoner of the Magistrate, Future State: Harley Quinn #1 is a fascinating journey through Harleys brilliant mind as she faces off with monsters from her past.

While Future State: Wonder Woman #2 completes the miniseries, Yara Flor will be sticking around as DC begins their Infinite Frontier era. And with everything we've seen from her character so far, she's sure to continue to grow and develop and make an excellent addition to the DC Universe. 

My favorite thing about Glamorellas Daughter #1 is that Comet doesnt mask. For those unfamiliar, masking is when autistic people mimic the behaviors of neurotypical people or otherwise hide behaviors that arent considered normal. Its exhausting, and in the long term, has detrimental effects on mental and physical health. So seeing Comet be herself, be autistic without trying to conform to the expectations of her neurotypical mother and society, is a relief. Though Glamorella doesnt understand Comet, she still gives her the space to be herself. And hopefully, this will continue in future issues, as well as Glamorella and Comet coming to a better understanding of each other without having to change themselves. 

Glamorella's Daughter #2 is another endearing, heartfelt entry in the series. The focus on the relationships between the characters makes them feel more real, and the world feels more involved. And with the reveals about the world Glamorella comes from that come at the end, I'm eager to keep reading. 

Glamorella's Daughter #3 feels like the turning point for the story. Up until now has been the setup. Readers are introduced to the characters and given a chance to grow attached to them. Emmett's kidnapping serves to reveal the threat and set the conflict in motion. The plot is beginning in earnest now, and there's no backing out for Comet, Glamorella, or any of the others. It's going to be an exciting ride.

Overall, Glamorella's Daughter #5 is an excellent continuation of a story that has been incredibly heartfelt and emotional while balancing intrigue and excitement.

Invisible Differences wonderfully blends entertainment with education. The final pages include reference notes and additional resources where readers can learn more. I saw myself in Invisible Differences and hope other autistic readers can relate to Marguerites struggles, and neurotypical readers can learn more about how we see the world a little differently.

The O.Z. #2 is an incredible story that makes the reader question their ideas about war and what it means to be a hero. Magnificent writing combined with stellar art makes it a comic you don't want to miss. I can't recommend it enough.

Patience & Esther is an erotic romance that doesnt gloss over the societal issues of the time but also doesnt feel so hopeless that the reader cant enjoy the relationship being built.

In Poiko: Quests & Stuff, Middleton takes readers on an imaginative journey filled with memorable characters. And the themes of friendship, community, and being kind to oneself are essential for anyone to learn or remember. Poiko: Quests & Stuff is perfect for its intended middle-grade audience and for readers of any age. This is a story anyone can read and get enjoyment from.

This story is over the top ridiculous in the best way. It's an absolutely hilarious meme-filled shitposting dream. There's no better way Spider-Man and Deadpool's adventure could've ended.

With its intense action, underlying dark mystery, and beautiful art, Scout's Honor #1 is perfect for dystopian media fans.  

As the mystery and tension build in Scout's Honor #2, readers are in for a wild ride as the Scout Rangers' real story unravels. 

Scout's Honor #3 did a phenomenal job of fleshing out Kit's character even more as the stakes get higher. The closer she gets to answers, the more Kit begins to question if the Ranger Scouts are the heroic organization she thought they were. In her quest for answers, Kit may lose herself.

Scouts Honor #4 is the culmination of all of Kits character development, of all the shit shes been put through. At this point, shes lost everything; her father, her best friend, the organization to which she dedicated her entire life. Its forced her to look within herself, to really and figure out why she wants to keep on living, what shes living for. And with beautiful art to back up this phenomenal story, Scouts Honor #4 is the best issue of the series thus far.

As a series, Scout's Honor was not only action-packed and intense, but it had a lot of emotional depth as well. And telling a complete story in just 5 issues is a pretty tall order. But the creative team behind Scout's Honor rose to the occasion. And Scout's Honor #5 is the perfect conclusion to the series. All of the plot points are wrapped up, but the narrative is left open enough that the reader can imagine what might happen in the world after the story ends. Scout's Honor #5 is an emotional punch in the gut that sticks with you long after you read the last page.

It appears that nothing is really what it seems, and something sinister is going on behind the scenes with both the mistakes and the Big Girls. And Ember's journey into discovering this is only beginning. Big Girls #1 is a thrilling read that should be part of everyone's pull list. 

Not only is the Harley Quinn Annual #1 is a must-read to keep up with the ongoing storyline, but its also a very enjoyable story to read.

At the end of issue one, many questions are still left unanswered, questions such as where does Mahalias power come from, who are the women she cares for, and what will Heloise chose? Will she leave her abusive husband and join Mahalias coven? These questions and more will hopefully be answered in the next issue. Jook Joint is difficult to read, but well worth it.

The details about Mahalias story are slowly being revealed, but there are still mysteries to be explained about her character. Heloises story is also far from over. She has a lot of choices to be made, and, no matter what she choses, there will be consequences to explore. Hopefully the series will continue to handle the dark and intense themes with the same care and feeling.

It would have been easy to imitate precisely what was done in the previous series, but the creative team appears to be building on what happened while adding their own unique spin to the story. If the first issue is anything to go by, The Magnificent Ms. Marvel is going to be a cant miss series.

Kamala has grown in strength and maturity with every challenge shes faced since Ms. Marvel, and shes going to need every bit of that strength to face the challenges coming her way. Being the chosen one isnt easy, but with the help of her friends and family, Kamala might just make it work.

With each mission she undertakes, Kamalas abilities are pushed to the limit, but so far shes passed, growing as a hero and as a person. As the Destined One however, the fate of an entire planet is in her hands, making this a much bigger test than shes ever faced before.

Watching Kamala mature from a Captain Marvel fangirl into an increasingly confident superhero in her own right has been an incredible journey to follow, and so far this series is continuing that growth. Focusing on this character development has made the action more spread out, but this issue feels like its the end of the exposition. Like all of the pieces have been moved into place and now its time for the action to begin.

Even though she's back on Earth and her family is safe, this isn't the end for Ms. Marvel. Big Threats don't always come from supervillains or aliens.

Kamala has two options; take some time off as Ms. Marvel as she sorts out her emotions about her dad. OR throw herself wholeheartedly into being Ms. Marvel and fighting bad guys as a distraction. No matter what she chooses, she'll at least have her friends and family to help her out.

The best thing about Ms. Marvel has always been her ability to keep fighting. Fighting for what's right, even when she's got the world against her. And how much she cares about helping her friends and family. This issue really shows how far this mentality has gotten Kamala in her superhero journey, as well as how far she still has to go. No matter how super one is, there's always room to grow.

This story is a reminder to keep growing, but to not let that growth become a toxic force that consumes you. To questioning, to never take things at face value, and most of all, to keep fighting for what's right. Even if you've never picked up Ms. Marvel before, this issue is a must-read.

Stories like this are a good reminder of everything Kamalas fighting for, and everything she has to lose. She cant heal her dad, her anger and helplessness at the situation are sure to affect how she handles the upcoming clash with Mr. Hyde. 

Unlike Kamala, Stormranger doesn't want to end a fight just because the opponent has been subdued; the fight isn't over until the threat is completely eliminated. Did the aliens who gave her the costume way back in issue #5 have truly devious intentions and intend the costume to act as a sleeper agent, waiting for the right time to destroy Ms. Marvel's reputation? Or is Stormranger a culmination of all of Kamala's anger and fear brought to life by Kree technology? 

This isnt a bad comic, but compared with how amazing the other issues of The Magnificent Ms. Marvel have been, it just cant compete. 

Thus far, The Magnificent Ms. Marvel has been an incredible run with so many different plot points being introduced and developed until they all come together in a devastating way. This issue is truly one of the best thats come out of this run so far.

 Fitting a new character into a well-established cast can be tricky, but Amulet fits seamlessly into the Ms. Marvel story and is going to add a lot to coming issues. 

The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #14 is a strong return from hiatus. Setting up an arc that's sure to profoundly affect not only Ms. Marvel's future but also the future of all teen superheroes in the Marvel universe. 

The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #15 is a solid continuation of where issue #14 left off, and of the Outlawed story as a whole. This is by far the most dangerous experience Kamala has gone through in her current run, and hopefully, this will continue to help her grow as a character. 

With "The Magnificent Ms. Marvel" ending its run with a special oversized final issue in January 2021, each moment readers get to spend with this character and in the world Ahmed and co have created in this run feels like a treat. 

The next issue of The Magnificent Ms. Marvel will be bittersweet; I look forward to seeing how the creative team wraps up this part of Kamalas story, but Ill miss this story a lot.

The entire run of The Magnificent Ms. Marvel was a wonderful time filled with laughs, tears, and everything in between. Its sad to see it end, but the creative team did a fantastic job of wrapping everything up in a way that felt natural and conclusive for this period of Kamalas life. Reading The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #18 felt like saying goodbye to a friend. Well, maybe its less of a goodbye and more of a see you later since Kamala will appear in Champions #5 along with some of her superpowered allies. And hopefully, shell be back starring in her own series sooner rather than later. 

Telling a full story in seven issues is a lot to ask, and telling a good story even more so, but the team behind Cemetery Beach seems more than up to the task. This is a comic that is well worth reading.

Since Cemetery Beach is only going to have seven issues, there is a lot of pressure for each issue to contain as much information as possible without overloading readers. The creative team behind this story is proving to be capable of this by revealing details in a way that feels natural and not forced, and keeping enough information hidden so that readers want to come back for the next issue to find out more.

Revealing the details slowly helps to keep the reader from being overwhelmed by information dumping, while also keeping things intriguing. There is a lot of information to be revealed, but only four issues left in the series. Based on the accomplishments of the creative team for the first three issues, they should be more than able to continue writing a satisfying and thrilling story until the very end.

Each step of Mike and Graces journey takes them closer to their destination and reveals more of the mystery surrounding the colony. The series is rapidly approaching its conclusion where all the loose ends will hopefully be tied up.

With only two issues left before the series wraps, the pacing will hopefully pick up. There are many unanswered questions about who characters really are and there is still a lot of mystery surrounding Oldhomes original intent for creating this colony. Ideally most of these questions will be answered before the end, but even if they arent this is a satisfying story overall.

The next issue is going to be the last and it should be a wild ride. A showdown between Mike, Grace, and President Barrow would make for a thrilling conclusion by wrapping up loose ends and also providing an epic final battle. Whatever happens in the final issue it will hopefully live up to the expectations the previous issues have created for it.

   This issue was under much pressure to wrap up the series in a satisfying way, and the creative team rose to the challenge. The ending answered some questions while also leaving many things unanswered. In many ways, its not the expected ending, but its the best ending the series couldve had.

Its not necessary to read main The Magnificent Ms. Marvel series in order to understand the annual (but it is highly recommended because its a wonderful series), so this issue is a great place to jump in with Ms. Marvel.

Whenever a book has so much hype surrounding it, theres always the potential that it might not live up to the high expectations. Fortunately, Star #1 has lived up to and even exceed these expectations. Between the story and the art, this is a fantastic story, and since it involves the Reality Stone, who knows what repercussions it will have for the larger Marvel universe. 

Star is in a very precarious position right now. If she cant learn to control her newfound powers shell keep creating rips in the fabric of reality. Scarlet Witch can help her as best she can but if Ripley continues to let her anger and grief control her actions it wont be enough. With the very powerful people after the Reality Stone, Star needs to act fast or she might lose her life.

This story is a fantastic setup for what promises to be an absolutely stunning next issue as with Captain Marvels arrival, Star is facing the fight of her life; the fight for her life. This is the tipping point for her character as the outcome will decide if she becomes a legendary villain or can be turned into a hero. 

While this issue is clearly setting up the conclusion, it doesnt feel like its just a setup. Enough is going on in this issue that it stands on its own as a story. Star has all the makings of a very successful mini-series, and hopefully, issue 5 will stick the landing. 

 Star #5 may be the end of this miniseries; its not the end for Star. As long as Reality Stone is bonded with Ripley Ryan, shes sure to pop up again in the larger Marvel universe. 

Champions Outlawed #1 is an all-around well-crafted story, and its a great place to jump into the Champions story.

After the spectacular debut first issue, Champions Outlawed #2 feels like the momentum has stalled with so much happening but nothing moving forward at the same time.

With its emotional undercurrent, high stakes action, and incredible art, Champions Outlawed #3 is the series strongest issue yet.

Harley Quinn #3 feels like a violent Saturday morning cartoon in the best way possible. I had the best time reading this issue, and I eagerly look forward to the rest of the series.

I love Harley Quinn the most when shes acting as a hero, but with morally dubious methods. When she leans more towards the hero part of the antihero trope, but still wont hesitate to chaos complete and utter chaos. And thats the Harley weve seen thus far in this run. 

Harley Quinn #5 was another top-tier entry for this series. With the introduction of a new villain, its clear things wont calm down for Harley any time soon, and I eagerly anticipate her next adventure. At this rate, this Harley Quinn series is rapidly becoming my favorite run for the character. 

Unlike in previous issues, as of Harley Quinn #6, it no longer seems like Hugo Strange is pulling all of the strings. Rather, Scarecrow has become a threat, potentially to Strange as well, And what of the mysterious Keepsake? Its unclear where his loyalties lie or what he wants from Strange. This issue set up a lot of plot points, and it will be interesting to see how they all come together. 

Its not necessary to keep up with all of the other Fear State titles to understand the events of this issue. Harley Quinn #7 stands on its own as a story focused on Harley. As a Harley story, its solid, but its nothing special. 

While it was sad to see Ivy leave so soon after she came back, it hasnt taken Harley down and out, and shes still fighting for Gotham and for her friends. Harley has undergone a lot of growth as a character, and thats especially visible in the aftermath of Ivys leaving. Harley Quinn #11 is a great start to the next arc of Harleys story. 

Harley Quinn #12 wraps up loose threads while building intrigue for whats coming next for Harley and her friends. This issue is a stellar entry in a run that keeps getting better.

Ultimately, Harley Quinn #13 feels middle-of-the-road; its not bad by any means, but it doesnt stand out, primarily because it features very little of the titular character. While its certainly necessary to set up what the arc will be about, this issue had too many pacing problems, with some aspects feeling dragged out and some too rushed. Combined with the often confusing page layouts, Harley Quinn #13 is a bit of a disappointment in an otherwise outstanding run. 

Harley Quinn #14 is a mixed bag; the story is solid, setting up what's to come and potentially dropping hints about who the fake Harley really is. And I look forward to Harley and Batwoman teaming up; they're such different characters that their interactions will be entertaining. However, the disconnect between the art and story, and the stop-and-start pacing drag down what could've been a standout issue. 

The issue ends with a cliffhanger and unlimited potential for where the story can go. With a strong creative team behind the scenes, this series is set to take off much like the Captain herself.

The team behind Captain Marvel is off to a great start and they will hopefully continue to improve. As a pilot, the skys the limit for Carol, and ideally, for her story as well.

Revealing backstory and explaining whats going on on Roosevelt Island was necessary, but adding more action wouldve helped move this story along. The strong contributions from the art team were able to make up for what felt lacking, and this wasnt a bad issue, but compared to the previous two it felt the most drawn out.

It looks like Carols time on Roosevelt Island is coming to an end, but any victory she has will probably be tainted by the memories of facing off with Rogue once again.

As the next arc begins, Carol's story will connect with the massive War of the Realms narrative, but hopefully, the story doesn't lose its own unique voice.

Fortunately for fans that aren't interested in reading the main War of the Realms title, this tie-in is as self-contained as a tie-in can be. There's a blurb at the front of the book explaining what the War of the Realms is, and since Malekith isn't the main antagonist in this story, that summary is enough. Regardless of being a tie-in issue, this is still a great Captain Marvel story.

As far as event tie-ins go, this one didnt feel too forced, but it will be great to get back to Captain Marvels usual adventures.

Carol may be falling hard, but with the support of her friends and her own resilience, maybe shell be able to keep from hitting the ground. 

While Captain Marvel might be benched from fighting until her powers are sorted out, her story is far from boring. The creative team is exploring Carol as a well-rounded character; one who isn't fully human in her biology, but still fully human in her struggles and vulnerability. It's a side of the Captain that can be easy to forget about. As she's seen punching holes in spaceships and one-shotting monsters, but it's a side that we need to be reminded that she has. 

While this isnt the first time Carols had her powers drained, this is a refreshing take on the plot thats going to have far-reaching effects on her life.

While the story wraps up more neatly than it would, in reality, healing is a lifelong process in many cases, it's still an important look into trauma, and how victims can become just as harmful as the person who harmed them. And just because she lost the fight doesn't mean Ripley is gone for good- it looks like she'll be back to cause problems for Carol.

Captain Marvel's going to become the Last Avenger, as the title says, but it might cost her everything. Between the stunning art and the astonishing story, this issue demands to be picked up. You don't want to miss out on a story that's sure to shake the Marvel Universe to its core. 

Its unclear how big of a part Singularity will play in future issues, or if shell play any part at all. Even if she doesnt appear after this story, it was great to see her reunited with Carol again. This new run of Captain Marvel has been an incredible exploration of the character. Pushing her beyond her limits like never before, and this issue is a perfect example of that.

Captain Marvel is learning the hard way that Vox is more powerful than she expected, as plans to use her as the last Avenger to complete their mission. Despite all her efforts to save her friends, it still may not be enough in the end.

This story wraps up the Last Avenger arc in a way that is satisfying and completes the story without rushing the ending. And while things with Vox Supreme might be wrapped up for now, with Star still on the loose (see Star issues 1 and 2), theres sure to be plenty of adventures for Captain Marvel moving forward. 

Ultimately Captain Marvel #17 feels like unnecessary filler. It isnt interesting enough to stand on its own as fluff, and its too self-contained to be a bridge between arcs. 

While there are a few details that aren't explained that would require reading the other comics (how did Hulkling become Emperor and why are the Fantastic Four briefly shown?), but ultimately Captain Marvel #18 is enjoyable and stands on its own. And this should come as a relief to readers that aren't interested in/don't have the time for another major comics event. 

Lauri-ell was the stand out star of Captain Marvel #19, and it will be a shame if she's killed off or written out of the story at the end of the Empyre event. Far from feeling like a cheap plot twist, Lauri-ell's character has the potential to add a lot to Carol's story going forward and to provide a look at how unique Carol is for having both human traits. Even once the Empyre event ends, Captain Marvel's time as the Accuser is sure to have an effect on her thoughts and choices, and hopefully, her half-sister can be a part of that.

While Captain Marvel #20 was an overall enjoyable story, its becoming harder to care about the stakes if you arent following the rest of the Empyre event. Some questions cant be answered by just reading this story, like what do the Cotati want, and why are they such a threat to Earth? Readers shouldnt have to follow multiple tie-ins and the titular event comic to keep up with the characters theyre personally interested in. This isnt the fault of the creative team behind Captain Marvel #20, theyre doing their best to keep Carols story entertaining, but its going to be a huge relief when the Empyre event finally ends, and Captain Marvels story can go back to standing largely on its own. 

The end of the Empyre event feels like a relief because the tie-in issues haven't been as interesting as other arcs have been. What kept this arc from completely falling flat was the introduction of Lauri-ell as a character, as well as the inclusion of Captain Marvel's close friends War Machine, Hazmat, and Spider-Woman as Accusers. While it would be great to see those characters come back in future issues, hopefully, they won't have the pressure of carrying the entire arc on their shoulders. 

After the Empyre event seemed to drag on, Captain Marvel #22 is an exciting return to a Carol-centric story that doesnt require reading multiple other books to understand.  

Overall, Captain Marvel #24 is intriguing because of the possibilities it sets up for the next issue, rather than what occurs in the chapter itself. 

Captain Marvel #25 isn't the most action-packed issue of the arc thus far, but the narrative is more than enough to keep readers invested. With Ove's supposedly true backstory revealed- Enchantress isn't exactly trustworthy- he becomes an even more fascinating villain than he appeared when he originally told his story. And with the ending of Captain Marvel #25, it appears that Captain Marvel #26 is going to be a battle of epic proportions where Captain Marvel can really let loose. 

There were a lot of threads to tie up at the end of this arc, and maybe there were too many. Because the emotional moments in Captain Marvel #26 felt rushed, and there wasnt time for them to truly sink in. The story felt unbalanced. It wasnt a bad story; it was just underwhelming. Garbetts art and Fabelas colors made Captain Marvel #26 a visually satisfying ending, at least. But without a solid story to back it up, the issue just feels okay overall.  

Despite serving as a bridge between story arcs, Captain Marvel #27 holds its own. An entertaining story, Captain Marvel #27 also explores Carols emotions as she heals from her experiences in the future and her breakup. Captain Marvel #27 is a pause to remember that despite being a half Kree superhero, Carol is still very human. 

Neglecting the advice of her magical friends, will Carol's obsessing over the futures she visited lead to her own destruction? Or will she realize she needs to rely on her friends for help before it's too late? Despite the balance between art and dialogue being off, Captain Marvel #28 sets up a very interesting scenario for the fallout from Carol's trip to the future. 

In her desperation to change a future, shes convinced only she can prevent, Carol has begun almost losing herself in the process. And despite the next issue being the last of the Strange Magic arc, its clear that the damage Carol has done to herself, and her relationships, will have long-lasting effects on her future. 

This was a fun, relatively low-stakes mission. Well, sort of low-stakes. The Sludge was no match for the combined power of Captain Marvel, War Machine, and Lauri-Ell. Far easier than most villains theyve faced. But in the superhero world, as in the real world, when things seem too good to be true, they usually are. Its not actually low-stakes, the Sludge is no longer an active threat, but it also wasnt the entire threat. Poor Carol, shes going to find out that she cant catch a break. As far as in-between arc stories go, Captain Marvel #31 was a great one; It got me hyped up The Last of the Marvels without feeling like this story was filler. 

Captain Marvel #32 is not an issue you can skip if you want to understand the story going forward. And it does have strong points, such as beautiful art and exciting fight scenes, though theyre weighed down by the writing for the majority of the issue. The script isnt awful, but its far from what weve seen Thompson do with Captain Marvel before. While the story ends on a cliffhanger that sells the hype for the Last of the Marvels arc, the rest of the book falls short of being enjoyable. 

Captain Marvel #36 is the perfect ending to a story arc with its action-packed sequences balanced by the emotional catharsis of Carol finally vanquishing a foe thats come after her time after time. 

Overall, Captain Marvel #37 is narratively and visually enjoyable, with Binarys introduction adding a fun, new dynamic to the cast. With the successful introduction and subsequent inclusion of Lauri-Ell, Thompson has proved that she can seamlessly integrate new characters into the existing story. And Im certain Binary will be the same. 

Captain Marvel #38 isn't the first time in Thompson's run that's seen the hero visit an alternate location or timeline. Nor is it the first time a new character has been introduced (Lauri-Ell in Captain Marvel #18). But Thompson has previously used these plot points magnificently and does so again in this issue. Readers will be looking forward to seeing where the story takes Binary and Captain Marvel. 

While reading the annual is not essential to keeping up with the main storyline--the only references to the ongoing series are Diamondback and Outlaw--it is still worth a read. These mini-stories help give more characterization to Domino, and offer readers a chance to see multiple creative teams interpretations of the character.

While there are conflict and a mystery to be solved, the stakes aren't as high as they would be in a story featuring the adult Lois Lane.Lois Lane and the Friendship Challengeis a good example of how stories about well-known characters don't always have to be intense or about saving the world to be fun and valuable. I really enjoyed my time reading Lois Lane and the Friendship Challenge because it was a lighthearted escape from the stress of reality.

My Riot is the story of one girl's coming of age in the DIY music scene, and her journey to self-acceptance. This is the perfect story for anyone that loves reading about the Riot Grrrl movement, and anyone fighting to find their voice.

Planet Paradiseis a beautifully crafted and immersive comic that can appeal to fans of soft sci-fi or fans new to the genre.

Despite the lettering problems, Sea Serpents Heir Book One: Pirates Daughter is a fun read with interesting world-building and a plot that leaves you wanting to know what will happen next.

Hopefully, as the series continues the creative team will keep the great work. Going forward, maybe more characters from the larger Marvel universe will make cameos as allies or villains, helping to cement Dominos place among the ongoing titles offered by Marvel.

As exciting as the addition of more characters from the larger Marvel universe is, this series is only a limited run. Theres only so much space for worldbuilding to happen and for the story to have a progression that doesnt feel rushed there are only three more issues. If Simone and company try to go too big for the space they have, the series will suffer for it.

Its unfortunate that issue 3 wasnt up to par with the rest of the series so far but the remaining issues could really turn the series around, finishing it off strong.

Its unfortunate that it took four issues for the series to get to such a good place because of its limited run, but its better late than never. And in the future, if theres another Domino series with the same creative team, then they should be ready to go right away.

As of now, this is the last of Domino's adventures with the Hotshots, but hopefully, they'll return in another series sooner rather than later.

Domino is lucky because it's going to make it past the six-issue mark and turn into a full-blown series. Once the Killer-Instinct arc wraps up in the next issue, Domino will be getting a well-deserved Annual issue and a new arc starting in issue #7. While it hasnt been a perfect comic, the art and writing certainly make it an interesting read, and the pacing issues should hopefully sort themselves out as the series continues.

While the story is dialogue heavy, the pacing is fast enough to stay engaging. This issue was the most well put together of the arc, a satisfying conclusion, while also leaving enough open for continuing adventures. Domino has a solid creative team, and has gotten off to a good start as an interesting and entertaining comic. Hopefully, this lucky streak continues.

While the action does not truly start until near the end of the issue, it is still an interesting read because of the development that happens, as well as the art. When the action does finally get started, it is exciting and fast-paced, and, of course, ends with an unanswered question, likely leaving readers antsy for the next issue. So far, each issue in the series has improved, and this will hopefully continue so that Domino can become one of the mainstays of Marvels lineup.

This story felt almost like a bridge between two arcs. Most of the plot points were tied up by the end, but enough of an opening was left for a new arc to begin. The creative team behind Domino has improved their work with each issue, and, if this continues, the next arc of the story should be even better than this.

Because this arc is just beginning the issue ends with a cliffhanger so not everything is wrapped up right away. This is frustrating because theres a month long wait for answers, but to team behind Domino will hopefully make this wait well worth it.

This doesnt feel like a true conclusion to the series. While Domino will be returning in Hotshots #1, it would have been nice to feel like this chapter was wrapped up more conclusively.

Despite the issues with the lettering, Flavor Girls #1 is a big hit that will appeal to fans of magical girl media (Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew) and fans of superhero teams (The Justice League, X-Men.) And with beautiful art in addition to unique character concepts, Flavor Girls #1 is a can't-miss series. 

When judged separately, the main story is an easy 5 (out of 5) stars, while the second story is a 3 (out of 5 stars) read. An A+ and a C, respectively. Ultimately, I enjoyed Flavor Girls #2, and I would highly recommend picking it up, especially to fans of magical girl stories, as this comic continues to use elements of the magical girl formula with a twist.

Flavor Girls #3 does a lot right with character and plot growth. Its a shame the unnecessary bonus story drags down an otherwise spectacular comic. And its an even bigger shame that this story is over before reaching a satisfying conclusion.

There are a lot of questions left unanswered at the end of Odessa, but this is only part one of this story. (As of the writing of this review the release date of the second book has not been announced).

After reading enough Doctor Aphra comics, you learn not to trust anyone because loyalties shift as quickly as credits can change hands. And while I enjoy the characters, Doctor Aphra #3 didn't wow me. It followed a similar formula of Doctor Aphra comics before it; Aphra does questionable things, her allies doubt her, she does some more questionable things, and everything (mostly) works out. But with all of the new characters on her team, hopefully, future issues of Doctor Aphra will stand out.

With its atmospheric writing and aesthetically pleasing art style, this is a captivating read. But it may not hold up for diehard Swamp Thing fans because Swamp Thing: Twin Branches ends up feeling like a science fiction/fantasy story with very little connection to the character Swamp Thing.

Since her first adventure in The Unbelievable Gwenpool #0 (originally Howard the Duck volume 6 #1) Gwen has appeared on and off, as a member of the West Coast Avengers (until their book was canceled), again in Spider-Man: Deadpool #50, and she even fought in the War of the Realms. After all of her adventures, it's great to see Gwenpool in her own solo series, even if it's only five issues. This is a great place for new fans to get started with Gwenpool and for existing fans to get more Gwen content.

Gwenpool escaped her last misadventure by traveling off the pages and "flashbacking" her way to a better ending. But trapped in the Fantastic Four with no access to the page margins? It's gonna take some serious creativity. 

With Gwenpool trying every idea she can to boost her sales and keep a solo series, some of those ideas are bound to fail. So far, theyve failed on the page, but the execution of the actual story has been good. This time, however, things didnt work out in either situation. But theres always next month.

Chaos and random humor make Gwenpool a fun character, but these traits need to be used in moderation, or she ends up feeling like a Deadpool knock off that's trying way too hard. At the start of this series, this balance was reached pretty well, but things were skewed along the way. Hopefully, everything is pulled back together for the last issue, or Gwenpool may not get the ongoing series she so desires. 

Characters like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have taken a back seat during this run so others could get the spotlight. And I'm glad that that's the case. But It was also great to see this moment play out with these characters. Their intertwined stories made it a more than earned scene. And I think it ultimately did its job, as it wound up taking Lex down a few pegs.

Though Bonding didnt live up to its potential, to the credit of the creative team, its a unique love story that took risks. If youre into sprawling sci-fi narratives with slight body horror, Im sure youll love it. But save yourself the headache, and dont read this all at once.

While it isnt a great story for people who want Red Sonja action, Killing Red Sonja #2 is still an interesting story about what happens when a child loses his father and suddenly has to hold the weight of an empire, and the world, on his inexperienced shoulders.

Whether you're a longtime Vampirella fan or a total newbie, this is the chance to jump into a great new series and help the character reach her next milestone.

There's a lot of potential for a solid and cohesive story, but nothing seems to connect in a way that makes sense just yet.

Ultimately, Red Sonja Age of Chaos #4 suffers from too much happening in too little time as neither storyline is able to get off the ground.

The story of Destiny, NY, sounds straightforward. Logan is trying to navigate love and life with no sort of plan. Magic aside, what young adult cant relate to that? Readers should be rooting for Logan to succeed, to find her place in a world that tells her she doesnt belong anymore. And to some extent, I was rooting for her. Unfortunately, the art and lettering issues and the somewhat disjointed storytelling kept me from fully appreciating Logans journey. 

Girlsplaining A (Sorta) Memoir has many positive aspects, such as Klengel's openness with discussing topics that can be uncomfortable. This candor, combined with Klengel's distinct and interesting art style, makes the comic seem very appealing at first glance. Unfortunately, the lack of racial and body diversity and the cisnormative perspective on menstruation and sex ruined my experience of reading Girlsplaining A (Sorta) Memoir.
