Batman vs. Robin #4 is a thrilling and emotionally resonant comic that is sure to excite fans on multiple levels. The art is epic in scope without losing sight of the more tender moments ripe for exploration in a classic father-son showdown. Waid's script is well paced while the art team fires on all cylinders, resulting in the best issue of the series and one of my favorites of the year. Read Full Review
Theres a fifth issue to this series, but not until February 28. Next up in this storyline is Lazarus Planet kicking off on Jan. 10. Regardless Ill be sticking with whatever direction Waid wants to go. Read Full Review
It's a lot to pack in of course, but wouldn't be great if all comics were this good? Read Full Review
When partnered with Mahmud Asrar's stunning art, Batman vs. Robin is as pulpy and profound as ever. Read Full Review
Overall, there is a ton to be excited about in this issue and it helps readers see how a strong story can connect with the proper setup in prior issues to guide the narrative to success. Excellent job to Waid and his entire team on another stellar story. Read Full Review
It's the kind of event comic that, despite being self-contained, manages to make a huge impact and set up something even bigger coming soon. Read Full Review
Asrar delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals craft a dark and engaging environment for the characters and I loved the action. Read Full Review
Batman vs. Robin #4 wraps up the battle of father and son in an exciting way while earning it as a good lead in for Lazarus Planet. Most importantly, Batman vs. Robin gets inside Batman's head with an expected magical plot twist not to be missed. Read Full Review
Batman vs. Robin #4 is a cataclysmic battle between father and son underneath Lazarus Island, just in time to kick of 2023's Lazarus Planet event. The brutal hand-to-hand action is fierce, and the outcome feels essential. Read Full Review
Batman vs Robin #4 is an uneven issue. There's a great story here, paired with wonderful art, but the need to feed into an event undermines the heart and emotion. Read Full Review
Though I initially wasn't completely sold,Batman vs. Robin #4 is a successful and enjoyable climax to this arc. The visuals are gorgeous and the issue delivers what the title suggests with a satisfying payoff. Now we just have to wait for the new year to see what is going to happen as the Earth enters into the Lazarus Planet! Read Full Review
I shouldn't like this as much as I do.
Awesome story and can't wait for the rest of the series.
this issue was definitely a big improvement.
I love Batman getting the helm in this issue. I don't even mind that he doesn't know how to use it and somehow can cast spells. I always thought that Dr. Fate took over the body of the person who wore the helm. Nezah's son coming out of nowhere was the one thing that felt completely out of place. It was never set up or explained as far as I know. I swore off event books after the disaster that was AXE, so I won't be getting Lazarus Planet.
A bit rushed, and Batman's confrontation with Damian felt a bit superficial. Nezha isn't a very compelling antagonist.
No mal, me gusta Talia es peligrosa, interesante y elegante.
Overall not a very fun read for me.
Damian being evil again really sucked (yeah he was under mind control, but it's still so tiring). It's 1 step forward, 2 steps back with him. He has to always has to become unbearable for some reason after getting some character growth.
Also all DC magic users being used as props in a Batman book bothers me the most. It's a creatively bankrupt move.
