Comic Watch - Dustin Gebel Nov 21, 2024

Ultimate Spider-Man #10 continues its excellent run by utilizing its goodwill with a series of conversations built around one strong action sequence. Hickmans writing swings from ominously prophetic, to flippant, to a soft tenderness (seasoning with a little horniness), and ultimately weighted by responsibility. For a bulk of the issue, Messinas art and Wilsons coloring are in lock steps to that rollercoaster of emotions, especially in the Spider-Man moments. As the Ultimate Universe and this version of the Parker family comes up to Christmas and its first year of stories, this issue reminds just how far these characters have come (and how far they still have to go). And while there's a similarly sized tiny touch of Spidey/Gobby tension, it's really not much of a thing this month. The one thing we do get is more time with and wisdom from Uncle Ben. Its a beautiful scene.Try not to tear up. Read Full Review

The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally Nov 20, 2024

Messina delivers intense and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the visual thrills of the action as well as the quiet character moments that have their own visual intensity to them. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez Nov 20, 2024

Ultimate Spider-Man #11 continues the excellence this series has been known for from the moment it started. Peter Parker operating as a solo hero created a lot of intriguing developments both for his personal and Spider-Man lives. How that trickled down to what goes on with the Sinister Six showcased the multiple layers this series has. It all leads to creating the feeling of wanting to read the next chapter of this story as soon as possible. Read Full Review

Nerd Initiative - Josh Allen Nov 20, 2024

While the action is kept to a simple bank robbery, it's still a very important issue. The developments with Harry & Uncle Ben make for a compelling story that will be interesting to see play out over the next few issues. Hickman is an absolute master at storytelling and he's weaving another masterpiece with this one. Read Full Review

The Comic Book Spot - Gareth Turner Nov 25, 2024

Ultimate Spider-Man #11 is a solid if uneventful issue. I would like to see MJ be given some more depth and I'm eager to see the tension ratchet up as we approach the end of a year with this book. But overall, Ultimate Spider-Man continues to be a worthwhile investment. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Nov 20, 2024

Ultimate Spider-Man #11 delivers a compelling blend of action, character development, and narrative groundwork that keeps readers invested in Peter Parker's journey as a hero. Hickman's nuanced storytelling, coupled with Messina's dynamic artwork, strikes a balance between classic Spider-Man charm and modern-day stakes. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez Nov 20, 2024

Ultimate Spider-Man #11 improves on the previous several issues by having Spider-Man show up and act like a superhero. That said, Jonathan Hickman continues to keep the series off-balance by shortchanging the action in favor of lengthy character conversations, and the big reveal of Ultimate Black Cat is surprisingly disappointing. Still, some Spider-Man is better than none, and David Messina's art is solid. Read Full Review
