This is the best series I have read in years! Each issue was better than the previous, with character growth, twists, turns, heartbreak, and then hope. A part of me would be very glad to see the story continue, or have a sequel; another part of me finds the finale so great, that it would be hard to top! But if there is I will be there. Cantwell's treatment of legacy characters is superior!

I think each issue of this series gets better and better. This issue has both hope and heartbreak. It is a perfect example of the old saying "If you do not control your emotions, your emotions will control you." The writing is some of the best I have seen in recent books. I like that the legacy characters (Torch, Namor, Cap) are together in this "What if" type story.

I believe this issue to be the best so far as it sets up for a (hopefully) powerful finale through issues #4 & 5. The mystery deepens and Namor and the Original Torch final meet. I look forward to what comes next!

Namor: Conquered Shores (2022) #2 Nov 18, 2022

I think this first issue sets up what could be an interesting story.

This first issue starts things off well and including the Original Human Torch is genius! Being a prequal, though, I am interested to see where this story goes.

I give this high a score more for the supporting cast (The Torch, Namor, Toro, Doom, Abomination). They are the ones facing true tragedy and fear while fighting to survive. On the other hand, the Maestro's plans for conquest never seem to be in any real jeopardy. Perhaps that will change in coming issues. I do also like how half of the Invaders are in this story. It would be great of some version of CA could appear.

I would have rated this much higher it it were called Marvel Team Up or Marvel Two In One because it tells a good story about CA and Namor. If, however, you are a fan of ANY of the other Invaders, there's not much there. In fact, The Original Torch, Toro, Winter Soldier, and Spitfire appear on one page only. This, and the numerous errors in the Torch's history, are my biggest knocks on this book.

I have been a fan of the Invaders from way back and have found some of this series to be good. This issue for me, however, is the worst. Up to now, the Torch has been very much a secondary character (not even listed on the cover); but (spoiler alert) Namor beheading him made this issue a loss for me. Did the writer look at anything written about the Torch previously? It seems like years of building up and enriching his character was forgotten (or never known) when planning this series. I realize the series has been canceled and my rant will fall on deaf ears...but ugh!

X-Men (2019) #1 Nov 2, 2019

An excellent series begins here! The art and story-telling are phenomenal! If you like the Invaders (especially the Original Human Torch) this series is an enjoyable read.

New characters introduced and a tie-in to the Original Sin Event! The series continues to combine excellent art with superior story-telling.

When I was a kid I became a fan of the Original Human Torch and the Invaders. This series is one of my favorites ever! The stories are good. The art never disappoints. The Invaders are brought into the modern world, their stories advance, and (yes) the Torch is given a lot to do! He even has a love interest by the end. His character has much to offer in terms of good stories (see the Torch, Avengers/Invaders, and Invaders Now!) if only Marvel would consistently feature this foundation character. Anyway, I have enjoyed this series and will reread it. Hopefully, you too will enjoy it. If you are a fan of the Invaders, you should.

The plot thickens...one of the better issues.

The series great (overall) but the Torch under utilized. This issue is a perfect example of that. He "declares war" and is not seen again.

Excellent series with the Torch being given a chance to shine. Both the writing and art are superior.

This series is an excellent read. If you like the Invaders, you should like this series.

This initial story gets better and better. I have been a big fan of the Original Human Torch and this book advances his character more than any series I have read.

Great cover! I noticed one of the "critics" gave this issue a very low score yet seemed to think it was a good story. What's up with that?

The Invader tie in to the Original Sin tie in is a solid story. Like the new character (Radiance), the Torch and her make an interesting couple.

This series was excellent and I am very sorry to see it end. I think James Robinson is an excellent writer and the art was consistently top-rate. This series got me back into comics. thank you Mr. Robinson!

Invaders (2019) #7 Jul 25, 2019

I think this issue tells a good story that takes us back to the early years of Marvel (Timely). Nods are given to the creators of the big three (Torch, Cap, and Namor). People interested in the Invaders and/or the beginnings of the comic era should enjoy this tale. I personally liked seeing the Torch and Captain America as sailors. Roy Thomas still tells an interesting story. The art is another strength for this one-shot.

I am a big fan of the Original Torch and the writer has done little with him in this series. Zdarsky does not seem to know much about the Torch's character. He is android with blood, organs, etc. He has stood toe -to-toe with some of the strongest in the Marvel Universe (including the Submariner). I am glad the character is still "alive" but he seems little more than a plot device to show how far off the "deep end" Namor has gone.
