But Why Tho? - Mateo Guerrero Oct 16, 2019

Something is Killing the Children #2 may not have the visceral horror that marked the debut issue, but by focusing on its main cast and the current state of Archer's Peak, the issue further grounds its story in bleak reality. The monsters may be on their way. But the damage they leave and the lives they ruin are here to stay. Read Full Review

Pastrami Nation - Nolan Smith Oct 20, 2019

This issue pushes the story along nicely while adding in more mystery along the way. Beautiful pacing, beautiful artwork, I love it. We get more human to human tension here than monsters this time, which is fine. Its all building to something, probably several somethings, which I cannot wait to see. Tynion and crew have crafted an excellent start to a new, original series here. I have been raving about this book since I first read the previous issue, and after reading the second, I shall continue to do so. BOOM! Studios are on fire as of late, and this book is one of the reasons why. It's still early, get the first two issues and get ready for a new type of monster hunter. Read Full Review

The Daily Fandom - Brandon Bloxdorf Oct 16, 2019

In the end,Something is Killing the Childrenis well worth reading. It reminds me ofWytchesby James's Bat-buddy Scott Snyder and Jock. It does hold up favorably to keep readers interested in what will and can happen. Is it something to pick up monthly? If you're a suspense-horror loyal fan, then definitely. If not, the story would be excellent to take on all at once. Overall, we're eagerly awaiting the next issue that will arrive right before Halloween! Read Full Review

Since I didn't get to say it in an initial review, Werther Dell'Edera's art and Miquel Muerto's colors are fabulous. I love the overall design of the environment and characters, but I especially love the monsters. So, big props to them " fantastic work, guys. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Ronnie Gorham Oct 16, 2019

Something is Killing the Children #2 is an effective setup issue that clearly details the direction the series is looking to carry the story this chapter. The creep factor is there, the pacing is on point, and we still have a lot to learn about the characters. Tynion and Dell'Edera are a great match and I can't wait to see what they have in store next for us. If you're a fan of horror comics, you should be reading this series. Read Full Review

Something Is Killing The Children #2 is a solid continuation to the issue before it. It slows things a down a bit in order to give us more time to learn our leads' motivations so we can further relate to them, which should pay off further down the road as the story progresses. Read Full Review
