The tease in the end gave me goosebumps!
Be careful what you wish for, Diana, as you just might get it. With a surprising but not unwelcome ally, Diana makes her final moves inside the maze. But even in winning the day, there will be devastating losses to bear.
Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman deliver the best issue of this series to date with Absolute Wonder Woman #12. Read Full Review

Hayden and Jordie knock this intense battle out of the park. The scenes with Diana standing tall and blood pouring from her face stood out in these panels. It showed her as majestic in a way, and her true warrior nature. There is a scene as well where she is standing over the people of the city, once escaping the maze, and everyone with their phones out; it truly felt larger than life in this moment, and they captured it eloquently. As I mentioned, we get a taste of Themysceria, and it is beautiful and took away my breath in the short amount we did see. I cannot wait to visit here next. Read Full Review

This issue does a solid job of closing out the current arc while leaving just enough threads dangling to set up what's next. I especially enjoyed the final page and the chilling new direction with Dr. Poison both moments that promise exciting developments ahead. Read Full Review

Absolute Wonder Woman #12 proves that even trident-wielding heroes can't save a book from a visual misfire. Come for breathless plot and tantalizing setups, but just know you'll be squinting through the splash pages wondering if the artist dropped a pencil or just gave up. Here's hoping the next issue hands the visuals a lifeline.7/10We hope you found this article interesting. Transformative Justice Queen
Absolutely brilliant.
A perfect issue. And the best to date.
This is a generational run that is defining Diana in the most emotionally resonant way. Truly transcendent in it’s execution when it is all said and done this tale all ready has opened new depths to the character of Diana. in the darkness of the circumstance Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman manage to make Diana shine even brighter in this issue.
Continues to impress! Thompson is flawless here: the plot and characterization are on point. The art is astounding. People talk a lot about Mora (rightfully so) but Sherman is incredible as well. I love his work in dark patterns but WW Iis where he truly shines. The tease in the end is fantastic.
i would give a 100 score but i can't.
Very engaging wrap-up to the maze storyline, with lots of promising new plot threads to pick up, plus a nice little cliffhanger ending that opens the door for another big Absolute character! What makes this story so special is Diana’s humanity and compassion on full display.
Kelly Thompson continues to offer up a tremendous series full of twists and turns. Kelly’s run on Birds of Prey was criminally bad. But this is like a different person all together. It’s damn good. Bravo.
What brings this issue down for me is the art. i'm just not a fan of Sherman's art. However, after years of writing mediocre Capt. Marvel issues, she has found her stride in Absolute Wonder Woman. This is a really well-written issue, displaying Diana in all of her empathic glory. Though I have no idea what Clea is wearing on her feet. What the hell? The battle is good, the resolution is good, and the cliffhanger is good. All I can say is get King off the main title and get her in there. Sometimes creators click with characters and here she absolutely does.
