THE CEREBRO SWORD! After taking on the Flower Cartel, Logan has brought back valuable intel to the mutant CIA. The non-treaty nation of Russia is working to undermine Krakoa - and may be aligned with Xeno. Beast wants Colossus on their side as the first drumbeats of war begin to sound.
PARENTAL ADVISORY
X-Force #12 is tense and involving as it unfurls new dangers and surprising wrinkles in an ever interesting story about xenophobia and trusting one another. X-Force maximizes its espionage themes with mature ambiguity in a package that's thrilling. Read Full Review
One of the reasons I feel like X-Force is such an important series in the new line of X-Books is definitely because of the threats. In X-Force, we get to see bits and pieces of how the world has adapted to mutants' place in the new world order. That includes the lengths governments and organizations of the world are willing to go to make sure the nation fails. The new villain Mikhail is a step towards seeing just how that unfolds. As we learn more about him, the organization plotting against the mutants, and their plans for Krokoa, one thing is certain. X-Force is the book where the fight to keep Krokoa alive takes place. Bazaldua does some amazing work with the art. There are some great visual moments that showcase the power of these characters and there are some exaggerated camera movements with the panels that are intriguing. Read Full Review

If the purpose of a comic is to elicit an emotional reaction, then X-Force #12 is a perfect comic because it does just that. The creative team has put together an issue that is certain to elicit exceptionally strong responses from the audience. It certainly did from me. Read Full Review
Percy shows readers just how much X-Force is about the greys in this issue, and it's kind of fascinating. Bazaluda's art is nothing special- there are some problems, but it's not bad enough to jeopardize what is an otherwise great comic. Read Full Review
X-Force #12 is a good book that is building for the next big X-event. Benjamin Percy has been consistently good on X-Force and this issue is business as usual. The pencils and colors really steal the show in this issue. The work done by the artist and colorist shine and the issue is all the better for it. X-Force lives up to the hype. Read Full Review
Keep this series on your pull list but go into X-FORCE #12 anticipating more set up and less action than in the past. There is no doubt that the future definitely looks bright for this series" but this issue simply felt more flat than normal. Read Full Review

Readers can hope that "X of Swords" won't undermine what works in the "Dawn of X" line, but its impact on X-Force this week is not cause for optimism. Read Full Review
This was a really phenomenal issue. This series has found its footing again and I couldn't be happier.
Beast will never learn as has been foretold and Percy does it well here. It's X-force after all. They're not gonna hug it out. I have to give credit to Bazaldua because his art is so much better here and his inking is night and day different between what came before and this issue. I commend him for taking the time to properly shade his figures and the art is much better for it. I'm sure it took way too long but the end result is worth it.
There are no good sides in X-Force. Percy is slowing building up Beast as the big bad in this story, killing innocents and abusing his power. Also, the XENO mystery is interesting and creepy. X-Force is still the best mutant series in my opinion.
" I admire that. You do not look like much, boy. But i can sense there is great power in you. I know that Krakoa has the power to bring you back. But that dosen't mean i can't keep what remains of you for myself."

I'm glad to say that this was a step up from the previous two issues. While this still isn't up to the standard of quality set by the majority of this run so far, it's still a good read. I'm especially interested by Beast's character. Percy has done a really nice job of building his character throughout this run and I'm really enjoying the darker turn he's taken.
Beast truly is the worst.
Beast we need to talk
Its another good issue. X force is really interesting and has some really dark tones. The art was fantastic. My only issue is these x books have no silver lining in them right now. Just seems like everything that could go wrong is going wrong for krakoa and its more depressing than Matt Murdock sometimes.
Both sides get their own questionable schemes. Mikhail Rasputin wants into XENO; Beast wants to get a little authoritarian with Krakoa's security. The pace is slow and the plot development is a little subtle, but it's backed by solid art and even better characterization. This issue isn't a hop-on point or a climax -- but it's more than capable of keeping existing readers engaged.
It feels like to figure out this issue, you need to arrange multiple scenes and datafiles like a Venn diagram and then thread through the overlap to understand what's going on.
Beast has a lot of bad opinions lol, never trust Jeremy Bentham.
What happened to this series? I really don't like what Percy is doing with Beast. His public humiliation of Colossus is a weird scene that just felt off to me. Followed by that laughable moment where Logan goes all feral and scares off a few dozen mutants (including Storm, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Cable and at least three of the Stepford Cuckoos). Percy needs to get this series back on track ASAP or else I'm not sure it's worth investing in anymore.
