The JUSTICE LEAGUE is stranded on an Apokolips that's deadlier than ever, with Earth in its crosshairs! And while the League battles with hordes and the clock, they're presented with the ultimate quandary-protect the galaxy's most ruthless bounty hunter LOBO, sacrifice him, or do something...more unspeakable! Even worse, they must do all of this while dealing with a TRAITOR IN THEIR MIDST! Will they be too late, since all roads lead...to Darkseid?
In Justice League: Last Ride #6, Chip Zdarsky has brilliantly set his story for next month's conclusion. I have no doubts that Zdarsky can provide a suitably epic ending to this brilliant story. I can hardly wait to see how what he's got planned. Read Full Review
I have no idea how this series plans to wrap up, but I'm here for the ride. Read Full Review
The story and art feels like a modern throwback to the Jack Kirby Super Powers titles with so much happening on every page. Last Ride keeps proving to be one that Justice League fans wont want to miss. Read Full Review
Tl;DRJustice League: Last Ride #6 is a mind-blowing issue. Many alternate-future series depict what happens on the darkest day in a teams history. But this series takes a brilliant detour, showing what happens to a group after that darkest days Read Full Review
Mendonca crafts some beautiful art throughout the issue. There are some great action moments that match and enhance the story visually. A great looking issue from start to finish. Read Full Review
We've seen a lot of dystopian DC futures over the years"some might even say too many"but this one stands out because of what's fallen apart. It's not the world, it's the League's trust in each other, and now they have one last chance to fix that. Read Full Review
That should be my conclusion, but I love writing about how good this book is, so I'll add more. This issue is like an M. Night Shyamalan film that was made to impress Michael Bay! When this story ends I will cry! Don't let it stop. Read Full Review
Justice League Last Ride #6 sets up a bombastic finale with twists and turns I didn't see coming. It may have taken me a bit longer to get invested in this story, but it is better late than never. Read Full Review
Its hard to settle on where Last Ride falls, as its a walking contradiction of quality. The story and art never feel sloppy or unprofessional, but they constantly oscillate between rout tropes of modern superhero comics and trying to meditate on the way death alters chosen family dynamics. Maybe its because the story never crystalizes into something meaningful but finds itself rehashing the same tired beats of the Justice League over and over again. Read Full Review
I enjoyed this issue, even though its main focus is clearly on the fighting and not so much on the characters, the location or the story. There are some intriguing reveals here, and the cliffhanger really makes me want to see how everything's going to play out in the final issue. If you've been collecting this title since the start, I definitely recommend that you pick this up. But, as I've said before, if you're still on the fence, it's best to wait for trade at this point. This issue won't make much sense without having read the previous installments. Read Full Review
Like the third layer of a carbon copy from the start of the New 52's Justice League, Last Ride delivers exactly what it promises but nothing more. It's difficult to be excited for that when this is a confrontation waged so many times already. Read Full Review
This was fucking dope
All these years I have figured that Batman is a smart man. I now have been proven wrong as I found out that he is a day trader.
Another great issue. Zdarsky consistently writes great comics
Intriguing twist, beautiful art, and with one more issue to go, I really wish Zdarsky would just take the Justice League title from Bendis.
Somehow missed this, but it's good!
a lot better than the Brian Michael Bendis' Justice League thats for sure.
Better than the current Justice League, and Injustice, and all that crap.
SO much happens in this issue! A green lantern powered darkseid is not someone I want to fight!
As the previous user had said, this is better than Bendis' run currently. However, I think this series focused too much on character progression and amendments, not making time for much action. This was definitely a bit more rushed than the previous issue with some parts of the dialogue not making sense.
It sucks that Zdarksy ruined Hal's moment of glory with such a cheap trick but other than that, it was okay.
it was Darkseid controlling Hal the entire time... Wtf
