Loki: Sorcerer Supreme Part 2
• Loki continues to protect the world from magical threats, but... That can't be all that he's after, can it?
• Stephen Strange certainly doesn't trust the God of Lies and Mischief.
• The play that Strange makes at the end of this issue will shake the Marvel U to its core!
Rated T+
This Doctor Strange series is already a major triumph from a monumental creative dream team. After only two issues, this is a can't miss comic. You can safely assume anything with Donny Cates involved is head-to-toe a spectacle you'll not soon forget. Read Full Review
The story is well paced and fun. The characters are dynamic. The action and art are intimate and the ending is amazing. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange #382 is a damn near perfect example at painting a human drama in an absurdist scenario in the broadest of strokes that contains all the things that good comics are capable of bringing to the audience. If you'd stepped away from Doctor Strange, as I had of late, now is most certainly the time to come back. Read Full Review
As comebacks go this one has just come out of left field. Logan seems to have left the door wide open when he returned and now not only Xavier, Jean, Adam Warlock and Bruce are returning but they will be joined by another Marvel powerhouse. And with this one having a track record of being a God-killer Loki had better watch out. Read Full Review

Everything falls within a cycle. No matter the content, there can be a circle found to show where the choices inevitably lead. Bats, the talking dog, is Doctor Strange's new companion. How will this affect the former Sorcerer Supreme? Read Full Review
“Doctor Strange” #382 is an issue that perfectly illustrates just how desperate Strange has become. He's lost and he knows it. He has no power left and takes drastic action that's going to really impact the Marvel Universe going forward. Walta and Bellaire continue to work together wonderfully and honestly, this is not a series you'll want to ignore for much longer. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange #382 continues to show that Donny Cates has a great handling on the saga of Stephen Strange. Its intriguing, compelling, and has a lot of solid character drama. He thoroughly understands the mind of Stephen Strange, and Walta and Bellaire bring it to brilliant visual life. This one gets a strong recommendation. Check it out. Read Full Review
The bombshell at the end isn't as earth-shattering as you may have been led to believe, but everything else is enticing enough for that to not really matter. Read Full Review
While the flaws of Doctor Strange #382 are in certain aspects of the writing, the writing is also responsible for bringing the comic to the highs that it reaches. There's hope that the future of this series will see the comic either settle into one protagonist or link the two into the same narratives, and what this comic does right far outshine those criticisms. It's a comic that flows with sincerity and personality, and shows both Cates as a writer, Walta as an artist, and Bellaire as a colorist doing some of their best, most emotionally powerful work. This creative team has a clear road map with, what seems to be, plenty of crazy stops. This issue proves that Cates can hit those character beats. The surprise at the end will surely lead to a crazy action packed issue next month where Walta and Bellaire can flex their creative muscles. This team has turned Doctor Strange into a title that every Marvel fan should be reading. Read Full Review
A fun continuation of 'Loki: Sorcerer Supreme' even if it feels like this arc might end up being a bit fleeting. Read Full Review
That dog was awesome ;)
I'm official on board with this series
I find my self infinitely more invested now that we are reintroduced to Stephen. There are two shocking endings to this issue, one heartbreaking and one shocking.
There is so much going on within this story that it seems the team is really enjoying themselves on this title. There are call backs to previous stories from other titles that were a joy to see. Things like Skurge's enchanted machine guns and the end reveal when Stephen seeks out a weapon against a god. There are also some interesting moments that make you wonder if there is something deeper behind them. Loki kissing Zelma just as Stephen is standing by his old home spying on him for instance. It could be bad timing, but it could also be a deliberate move on Loki's part. There is also the questions behind Stephen's position as a vet and his friendship with a dog, that is most likely not a dog. Stephen even mentions how he should not be seenmore
Holy shit, this series is insane. The comedy is refreshing and on point and the ending made me so excited for the future of this story. Donny Cates is easily the writer of the year for me.
Dr. Strange explains the Exile of Singhsoon, but there are still tons of mysteries on the table. There's also plenty of heart and heartbreak; this is a mighty eventful comic. Let us not overlook, between the "OMG the dog" and "OMG Stephen's ally" shockers, there's also a huge "OMG Stephen did *what* to Zelma?!" surprise. Not only does Donny Cates double up on twists, he also packs the spaces around them with plenty of lovely characterization. Gabriel Hernandez Walta's art sells the emotions and the action perfectly; this is every inch an A-list comic.
This second part was fun. Well not very fun at the end. But it was very good.
I knowed how Strange will go to, so it wasn't a total surprise, but It was well lead.
I also liked the part about loki & Zelma ... Very surprised, but not in the wrong way.
Not much of action, but a really nice & dramatic story.
Cover - Love Del Mundo 2/2
Writing - Very good just after Aaron ... "Bravo !" 2.5/3
Arts - Still like this kind of art for this kind of book. That not art I'm used too, but It's really good to give the character (Particulary Loki) a stature. 2.5/3
Feeling - I didn't regreat trying it. 2/2
It's Doctor Strange story you wanna read.
Donny Cates is already shining in his run of "Doctor Strange" after 2 issues, delivering a fun and interesting story. This arc takes a bit of a different turn than I expected by focusing on Stephen over Loki; Stephen's relationship with Bats the talking dog makes this issue. Gabriel Hernandez Walta's art has never looked better. He continues to knock it out of the park after "The Vision."
Well paced storytelling by cates with a nice surprise at the end. Walta fits well in the moody intimate settings.
Simply awesome. GREAT dialogue and am looking forward to where this story goes!
Very interesting book. This Doctor Strange arc has been great so far. I like the idea of the mystery behind Loki becoming Sorcerer Supreme and the spell he is after. I never knew of the character revealed at the end so to me it didn't make this grand reveal I was expecting, but interesting nonetheless. The art is really good, I mean really good.
