Absolute Batman #14 was a great read and the fight between Batman and Bane is legendary. With both being tacticians and savage in their fighting, this was a good read and a satisfying conclusion. However, it seems that someone else is waiting for Batman after his encounter with Bane. Bane on the other end, deals with the consequences of his encounter with Batman, and honestly, I feel bad for him. Although not dead, he certainly wishes he was, I'm sure. This was a classic match between two adversaries, and I can't wait to see what's next in this series! Read Full Review

Absolute Batman 14 pays off on its big showdown while Snyder proves even in a more extreme Absolute Universe, Batman is still first and foremost, a hero worthy of that description. If that wasn't enough, Snyder and company tease the next major threat as The Joker plots his next move following the end of the battle. So the Abomination arc concludes and it goes big while doing so leaving us with a great tease for next month. I've really enjoyed this storyline, and it's one I think would translate brilliantly if DC ever decided to animate any of the Absolute stories. The entirety of Absolute Batman #14 made me laugh. Snyder and Dragotta are getting too extreme for extremes sake and it is taking me out of the whole thing. And now there are leaks of what Joker is going to look like and it looks even dumber than Bane. I am slowly getting annoyed by this whole run. Snyder is kind of a guy whose work when being extreme, or in this case Absolute, can be an absolute banger, or a shitshow.
Thankfully, this is absolute banger. What a comic and what a story.
Perfection. I’m not quite sure how Snyder and Dragotta managed to pull this brutal rematch off, but they did it in a way that exceeded expectations. We get to see Bruce using his brain as much as his relentless, vicious brawn, with the clever flashbacks of Waylon’s fight interspersed as a backdrop. Seeing Waylon’s courageous assault on Bane, with Bruce coming to save him, was a very nice touch as well. The terrifying coda with the Joker was the cherry on the cake. Best issue yet!
The way Scott and Nick mimics the vibe and thrill that Frank Millers Batman run brought, it's amazing to relive that in this ongoing series. In my opinions it even surpasses Frank Millers.. Just be aware that this Batman series will be read by our kids and their friends.
Keep reading this, its the best.

Absolutely fantastic issue cover to cover.
I have to hand it to Snyder, the man knows how to make one helluva climatic ending.
i don't know how, but this fight lived up to the hype. It was brutal, gory, and even though I knew Batman would win based on future solicitions, it was still tense. nick Dragotta's art is astoundingly beautiful and works well with a more "violent" Batman compared to Greg Capullo's "horror" Batman. The pacing and dialogue is alot more digestible compared to Scott Snyder's DC Rebirth runs, and I'm excited to see Joker. The delay was worth it, and there's a reason why this is the most popular DC Absolute Series.
Not my favorite issue in this run.
