As for that final showdown with Hades, it absolutely delivers, and I'm not sure you can get owned more than Hades does by Diana, and moments of hope and tragedy are also laced all the way through. Absolute Wonder Woman #7 is a triumph and deserves all the praise. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff May 4, 2025

Its remarkable that the series has already burned through seven issues. Theres so much thats being explored with such a strong delivery of such a fresh perspective...the first year of the series is passing by like a bit of a dream. Though it is quite distinctly unlike any previous incarnation of Wonder Woman, it draws on a reality that feels like its been there since the beginning. Thompson opened the series with a fresh perspective on Diana on Earth. She continues a thoroughly satisfying opening year with a fresh perspective on Diana in the realm of the gods themselves. Its going to be fun seeing where she takes Diana next. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles Apr 24, 2025

Absolute Wonder Woman 7 is a flat-out brilliant installment of one of comics' best. As the main line Wonder Woman title has faltered under its current creative team, Thompson is in the midst of a Wonder Woman run that should be fondly remembered as hailed as some of the best work on the character in decades. SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen Apr 28, 2025

A very enjoyable story. I loved the use of the parable about the princess and the prince who wasn't a prince, and how it was juxtaposed against the real-time dilemma Wonder Woman was facing. This is a style of storytelling I've always enjoyed immensely, and I hope we'll see more of it in future stories. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez Apr 23, 2025

Absolute Wonder Woman #7looks gorgeous, reads well, and has all the makings of a great comic except for a narrative stumble at the end. Kelly Thompson's script shows the potential of what a great Wonder Woman comic could be, and Mattia De Iulis's artwork is breathtaking. That said, a crisscross of ideas creates a jumbled resolution.
