Daredevil #33 is a fantastic, action-packed issue. This comic is fraught with danger and the readers are left nervous. Zdarsky continues to tell a deeply captivating story with constantly increasing threats seeking to cut one of those stories short. There are also some fascinating pieces of dialogue and plot threads around the other characters involved in the book, including one that will take the comic in a completely different direction. Daredevil #33 is another great issue. The reveal to Bullseye, finding this new skeleton in Fisk's closet, and seeing the path Elektra is on to keep me entertained for the month. I look forward to seeing the wrap-up to these new developments, and this issue helps to carry the arc forward. Read Full Review
It is fair to say that the devil switcheroo may have given this book some traction. However it s Zdarsky that has kept the book moving forward, giving us characters in both Matt and Elektra to root for. Zadarsky has managed to utilise the villains of the most classic Daredevil stories of Frank Miller's run and given them a role that feels like a real threat for the first time in ages. This run could be this generations of readers Born Again! Read Full Review
Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto are at the top of their game with their work on Daredevil #33. Every single ongoing storyline from Elektra's battle with the Bullseye clones to the prison riot Matt Murdock leads adds even greater interest for the future of the series. It all goes to once again prove that Zdarsky and Checchetto's Daredevil is the best comic book Marvel is currently publishing. Read Full Review

One of the most twisted battles of Daredevil's career continues. It looks incredible, leans into some of the sci-fi craziness of the Marvel Universe, and continues to be one of the best Marvel reads month after month. Read Full Review
Even for an issue without more than a single glimpse of its leading man, it certainly sets expectations sky high with another intimidating final splash"one readers have every reason to believe will (once again) pay dividends in Daredevil #34. Read Full Review
Elektra fighting Bullseye and his clones (yeah, apparently they are clones from an experiment Fisk set up so he can have a Bullseye he could control. Interesting solution.) was as thrilling as I expected, all thanks to Checchetto God-tier art. That confrontation ends with Elektra almost dying but she manages to get Spidey and Tony to the scene just in time to save her. Once again Elektra shows she also has the brains.
All while this is happening, a riot had started in the prison Daredevil is in that also involves some kind of gas (probably re-cid that was mentioned last issue) and Cole North is the one who was chosen to deal with it. Leading to one of the coldest pages and inner monologue I have seen in a long time.
This was a really great issue. I hope this leads to something as crazy as is being promised.
This has been a great arc so far and this issue continues that trend. Here's hoping Elektra gets to kick Bullseye's ass soon.
Elektra survives her doppel-Bullseye fight and links up with other heroes. Creepy behavior-modification stuff unfolds with wonderfully deliberate pacing at Matt's prison. And we get brief check-ins with Fisk and Butch. I don't think this is a great comic by itself (those check-ins are so brief as to be annoying), but it's a great chapter in a larger story. And the return to stem-to-stern art by Marco Checchetto is great. The Elektra fight in particular is a visual feast. The sweep of the bigger-picture plot is also intriguing, with plenty of compelling questions along each thread of the plot.
WTH is up with Marvel's super-spoilery title pages lately, though? This issue's recap spoils Matt's entire plotline for this issue.
Elekra gets another hard dose of the Daredevil life while the situation the Matt in the prison has devolved into something much bigger. We're left on the hook wondering what Matt's role this comic-book-style prison uprising is going to be.
Also, reader beware: this issue features another black man acting selfless, so.... Scary stuff guys, what is this world coming to?
Extra points for the Checchetto art, but I think the stretches of straight 10s for this series are over. Seems like the reader is expected to be overly sympathetic for every single main character: Matt, Elektra, Alice, Cole…but even Fisk, Mary, Izzy, Butch, Mike…literally everyone. Hard to put into words but it just feels weird and forced. Interesting last page to this issue, but I have a feeling it will lead to something I don’t really care about and resolved within 1-2 issues. I know this sounds like a negative review yet im giving an 8.5, but compared to the constant 10s that this series was producing it is relatively a mediocre issue.
Time for some action to ramp up. Elektra's dealing with her own Clone Saga and is lucky enough to receive help in some of the right places. As for Matt, I don't know what happened, I mean there's a good chance he's acting to get intel out without raising too much suspicion. But what was in that tank last issue? Too much needing to know what happens next.
I think its still pretty solid and throws a good ending out there along with some good moments. I just felt like last issue had a little more to offer but, this was still very enjoyable.
Much better than the previous issue, it seems that Matt is now really doing his thing.
Whenever Checchetto is on the art you can be sure the action fights are going to be great but Zdarsky continues with the same tired beats. The drug that makes the inmates violent is "Re-Cid". Get it? The inmates are violent because the warden of the prison deliberately makes them so, that's why they're recidivists. And of course, AGAIN Daredevil will get schooled by North, just as he was schooled by him in the beginning and by the black inmate that helped him during KiB. Honestly if only once Matt would be the conscience of this book and not be presented as a hypocrite and a madman I would probably like this a lot more. Still, this was a good issue overall mostly because of the very smart fights.
