Taylor is surprisingly a good Nightwing writer.
This special Nightwing issue is ONE CONTINUOUS IMAGE! That's right-if you placed every page next to each other, you'll have one poster image with this story! Now that billionaire Dick Grayson has publicly dedicated his funds to save Blüdhaven, he's a wanted man-and that's why he finds hired killers breaking in to steal his dog, Haley!
Dick Grayson is struggling in his training to be Robin, and the Batman decides the young man needs a break…and takes him to meet the Justice League! In an awe-inspiring moment, he meets the World’s Greatest Heroes…and their sidekicks! Will these teen titans get along?
Nightwing is back in Blüdhaven and his drive to keep his adopted city safe has never been stronger! But protecting Blüdhaven is no small task, especially now that it’s being menaced by Nightwing’s most terrifying foe yet-a mysterious and murderous villain with a penchant for stealing his victim’s hearts, known only as Heartless. Collected...
The Nightwing Red Hood team-up was great, both in the past and in the present. It's one of the first times they actually felt like brothers in forever, and it seems like there is a lot more to explore in their dynamics.
It was a very good issue and I hope we could see more of their team-ups in the future.
Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, the first Robins, both long ago stepped out of the shadow of the Bat and began walking very different paths on their respective journeys to become who they are today. But now their paths converge and these two brothers unite for one goal. With escrima stick and a crowbar combined, Nightwing and Red Hood are ready for an...
Long review later, but this is so good. Wow!

It was actually quite a good issue for a tie-in event.
The rationalization of Nightwing coming to Gotham actually made sense, and the team-up with Batman was fun and even heartwarming.
My main problem was with the art. Redondo's art was perfect in the previous arc, and he was greatly missed here.
But overall, it was a surprisingly good issue.
When the Bat-Family receives misleading information and incorrect directions from Oracle, ones Babs didn’t send herself, they realize Oracle’s system has been hacked! It is good but you can skip it. Mandatory Bat crossovers are a pain the ass if you are not reading the main Bat title. You can come back in December and continue with the main story. In short, buy if you are following Fear State or in need of Dick every month.

1.I’m getting a little tired of some fans saying Taylor is a bad writer. I’m not sure that anyone is writing a better series than this one, possibly at any company. He has also made me a fan of Jonathan Kent and even of him in the Superman role in one issue flat. I didn’t think any writer capable of that. The guys is shitting gold lately. DC should give him the run of the place or at least gmore
It’s a fight for the soul of the city! Now that Dick Grayson has inherited more money than he could possibly need, he has an idea on how he can help the city with it-and it’s time for him to announce it to the world! But with Blüdhaven's so beyond saving, what idea does he have that could possible save it? Meanwhile, an unexpected figure comes...
@Weird Science Jim. No one is complaining about you. They're complaining about the obvious review bombing from newly made accounts, and that one idiot who thinks everything is an attack on his precious Trump.
Not gonna get deep into the Afghanistan pullout because nuance is dead here, but "Afghani" is a currency. Calling the Afghan people "Afghanis" is basically telling everyone in the room that you don't know anything about the conflict.

Melinda Zucco’s connection to the man who killed Dick Grayson’s parents wasn’t a surprise to the Blüdhaven hero, but what the former Robin discovers about Melinda’s ties to the Flying Graysons leaves the usually upbeat detective speechless.
Dick Grayson trades out his escrima sticks for a magnifying glass and a sleuth hat to investigate Blüdhaven’s new mayor, Melinda Zucco, and find out how the daughter of the man who murdered Dick’s parents came to power in Nightwing’s city. But his investigative adventure is cut short when he comes face to face with the most horrendous villai...

Writing 2/4
Total 8/10
As I am reading this issue, I experienced numerous conflicting emotions.
Not because of the art, coloring nor the letters. The art team has done magnificent work for the past four issues. Bruno Redondo (artist), Adriano Lucas (colors) and Wes Abbott (letters) deserve all the praises being given to them. It w more

But that scene with the ships is meant to say there's hope in the city because the people there are working class people coming together in a time of crisis. Not to mention there's a cheesy tribute to past great Nightwing writers (barring of course one very controversial creator).
Spoilers incoming, A lot of it.
What we got:
- Cool Nightwing gadgets. We are this close from Dick using a Bo staff like the cartoons and tv series.
- Great Bat family moments coupled with our favorite new doggo, Haley, getting her much deserved walk. Who's a good girl?
- Tim being Tim. I recommend this to the Drake fans. I know there is a lot of you begging f more
Dick Grayson’s always had a big heart. From protecting those persecuted by bullies in his youth, to combating evil alongside Batman as Robin, to pledging his newly inherited wealth to enriching Blüdhaven as Nightwing-his kindness and generosity have always guided his life. But now a new villain stalks the back alleys of Blüdhaven, removing the ...
What are the Twitter incels outraged over this time? Something about this being offensive to rich people?
Dick Grayson has inherited Alfred’s fortune, a puppy, and a whole lot of questions. Who is Mayor Zucco, and what is her relation to the man who murdered Dick’s parents? What sinister plans does Blockbuster have for Blüdhaven? What kind of dog food is best for a three-legged puppy? To answer these questions, Dick’s going to need a little help...
Lol it's really easy to tell which ones are sock puppets. That one guy made a bunch just to stalk me.
I find it funny how hard they’re trying to make Taylor’s run here as the worst thing to ever happen in comic book history.
Who are the people who helps you when you fall? Who are your safety nets? In Bludhaven, there is none... until Nightwing came.

Man some fans/readers are salty as hell. Lol
Honestly after years of mediocre to down right trash Nightwing issues for the past couple of years. Nice to finally get my #1 favorite comic book character back to prominence like he should be.
Nightwing is back-and his drive to keep Blüdhaven safe has never been stronger! But his adopted city has elected a new mayor with the last name Zucco. When Nightwing enlists Batgirl’s help in investigating the politician bearing the same name as the man who murdered his parents, she unearths details that will shock and fundamentally change the h...
Don't mind them. I hate toxic Nightwing fans. They are so traumatized that their entitlement becomes irrational.
They're salty Scott Lobdell fans from /co/, and triggering them is so much fun.

Bravo! Dick Grayson can carry a story by his wholesomeness and goodness alone. He is the heart of the DC universe. Nightwing was hyped to be the best series this year and I am happy to say Tom Taylor met the expectations. If this continues I might prioritize Nightwing over Daredevil again.
