No company is putting out a better book than Nightwing right now. The creative team hasn't been on the title for a year yet, but it's already shaping up to be the definitive run on the character. This is a special series that's redefining expectations for Dick Grayson and how great DC comics can be with the right team in place. Read Full Review
Nightwing's first arc of the Infinite Frontier era has come to a close and the former boy wonder is in truly great hands as the book has brought Dick Grayson back to the levels he's meant to be within the DC Universe. Truly a gorgeous, heartfelt, emotional, surprising, and just all-around fun book that retains a serious/sharp edge to it with the threats and real-world issues faced. Read Full Review
All in all, Nightwing #83 reads like an ensemble cast spinning around Nightwing, a brilliant neo-noir tapestry expanding from a hero who has long deserved this sort of front and center attention. Hopefully, Barabara remains forever and the Zucco drama gets even more convoluted. Read Full Review

The story and art in Nightwing #83 is so rich in detail that you should be reading this already. If not, go back and pick up EVERY issue that Taylor and Redondo have done together! This duo is as perfect as Barbara and Dick are together! Read Full Review
Redondo uses a detailed modern drawing style that focuses on character expression and form. This is highlighted by the bold color work of Lucas. The result is a visually appealing issue that is both exciting and emotionally engaging. The action panels are top notch, and the content heavy scenes are impactful. I found this to be a well crafted and transportive edition. Read Full Review
Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo, and Adriano Lucas work perfectly together to tell a wonderful, can't miss story in Nightwing #83. Everything that takes place in this issue carries a sense of importance. Nightwing #83 continues to be the best ongoing book that DC publishes, in my opinion. I wait with great anticipation for each upcoming issue! Could we have gotten a better first run out of this creative team?? Id bet not. Cant wait for issue #84 Read Full Review
With its first arc finished, Taylor'sNightwing is proving to be a stand out book. It's a must-read for any fan of The Boy Wonder or the Bat-Family in general. I'm excited to see what else is on the way from Taylor, Redondo and Lucas when it comes to Dick Grayson and his world. Read Full Review
Nightwing #83 is an excellent issue that has me back on board the Nightwing trolley where I belong. Bruno Redondo's art is great as usual, but it was Tom Taylor's shift from trying to prove that Dick Grayson is a great guy to just showing me the character I have loved for that very reason. I can't wait for the next issue! Read Full Review
Taylor is setting up something here that isn't like any other superhero book, and I can't wait to see it play out. Read Full Review
There's a typo on page 20 that bugged me, which is why this comic is only close to perfect. Yes, I know that's harsh, but when you have a diamond, even the slightest flaw can reduce its value and allure. Either way, I would still recommend this issue – heck, this entire run – as must read to anyone who'll listen. Read Full Review
The series is great and this issue helps bridge the many subplots that have been introduced. Having similarities to Hawkeye hasn't deterred from the overall story as both are different. This issue is what sets it apart as we see Dick start becoming who Alfred always knew he could be. Read Full Review
Nightwing #83 is the strongest issue of the series so far. While the book lays on the schmaltz more than my taste can handle at times, there's no denying the high level of craft on display. I personally find myself unconvinced by the larger social themes Taylor plays with, but the book's heart is in the right place and that's enough for now. Fans of the series to this point will not be disappointed. Read Full Review
This issue leans heavily into the sheer fun of the Bat-Family and Nightwing's superhero friends, and I love that sort of thing. Big changes are afoot and I can only hope this series can pay them off nicely. Read Full Review
This issue is really, really good. Conceptually, it's either one of the best ideas in superhero comics in decades or possibly another red herring. Either way, there is a lot to like about this bold, "focused" book that really understands the assignment. Read Full Review
The writing by Tom Taylor is pretty excellent. The story is smart and moves quickly. The art by Bruce Redondo is pretty damn well done as well. I love this book and it only seems to be getting stronger with each passing issue. Read Full Review

and we're done! The first arc is complete and it's an interesting one. It's so much fun and has so many great moments. I just wish we had more from the villains but I know more of their wants/needs will be revealed.
This issue tugged at my heart strings something fierce. Tom Taylor checks every box for me, and the artwork by Bruno Redondo only elevates it. Can’t wait for what’s next!
I really loving this run on Nightwing!
You can tell it's a great issue when even the yutzes who hate comics and are just here to fight their little culture war can't drag the reader score down past 8.7
I honestly like this issue and series. It gives me Chip Zdarsky's Daredevil vibes. it has great action and art and I'm not sure about Nightwing and Barbara Gordon's relationship since in Teen Titans he's banging Starfire.
But I like how Nightwing grows and takes the next step in helping people in need not as a superhero, but as Dick Grayson. I was honestly nervous and worried that Nightwing was going to reveal his identity when he talked to Superman, but thankfully he did not.
This is a great issue of a superhero comic that I'm sure will get a lot of shit for having a hero that cares about people in it.
Que lindo gibi. A ação, o dialogo com o Superman, o humor....o beijo da Barbara, tudo muito bem. Uma pena que serão 3 meses de Future State para atrapalhar.
1.I’m getting a little tired of some fans saying Taylor is a bad writer. I’m not sure that anyone is writing a better series than this one, possibly at any company. He has also made me a fan of Jonathan Kent and even of him in the Superman role in one issue flat. I didn’t think any writer capable of that. The guys is shitting gold lately. DC should give him the run of the place or at least give him JL which needs a new writer, stat.
2. I’ll go even further with this surely controversial opinion. If we had to suffer all those awful Ric Grayson issues—and I paid real money for every single one—so we could get this series, I call that a bargain. This book is that damn good.
This is only a part of why the new I more
Tom Taylor hots another home run
I haven't enjoyed Nightwing in like ever, and I've tried picking up the book for over a decade. This run has become one of my favorites.
Well written and Redondo's art is so beautiful.
Looking forward to more.
This issue really shows off Dick's humanitarian qualities. While he still has a few worries to think about, it's high time to get back to Dick's task at hand. Dick takes inspiration from a number of sources including Alfred, hence why he names his plan after him. Also his networking to make his plan work. In terms of the overall goal, it might just touch a piece of real world efforts by non-profits. A number of them work way better than government plans to get people off the streets or prevent the deaths of the homeless. Pardon me if I don't remember all their names.
But then there's the conflicts I feel Nightwing will be facing. Bludhaven, true to its name feeds off the suffering of the people Dick tries to help. With threats li more
This is basically the Bat-family book I always wanted. Pretty much every interaction was perfect with the standout part of the issue being the conversation between Dick and Clark. Taylor absolutely nails the dialogue between the two, showing a great grasp of the DC Universe at large and the role Dick should play as the heart of it. The big foundation reveal was heartwarming too and Redondo's art sold all the little emotional moments that were packed in.
Taylor and Redondo end their first act on a very strong note. Action and emotions all around, I love it !
A) The issue was amazing the writing was solid, dialogues are well writing but yes the action is missing the whole are so expect the action to increase especially its fear state for couple of months now. Quick question, the issue had Damian Congratulate Dick for opening a "Alfred Pennyworth" foundation on the BAT-FAMILY group chat. soooo..... is Damian in contact with the family now because I believe he is on his own in his Solo Robin run. I am guessing this takes place after next weeks Robin (issue 5) as in that all robins are supposed to meet up.
B) The characters were okay, Blockbuster is seriously boring knock off of Kingpin as per right now, idk if they change him going forward. Initially thought Heartless was the villain f more
Too cheesy and contrive as a issue.
"But I don't think there's anything heroic about being a billionaire"
There is also nothing wrong or unheroic about being a billionaire.
It saddens me greatly that a book I really enjoyed is starting to have someone's twitter feed copy-pasted in place of characters' dialogue.
But I guess billionaires/millionaires are evil and having money is a sign of a soul corrupted beyond repair.
Whew, thank heavens Bruce Wayne is no longer one, he can be a proper hero now.
Oh, no, but now Lucius Fox is evil. Ah... right, silly me.
This is such a low-effort, silly, childish comic! It's one of the reasons Taylor is probably the most overrated writer in the industry at this point. He tries to tackle very complex issues by coming up with the most juvenile answers. Yes, a lot of the issues Nightwing (or should I say, Tom Taylor, because Dick here is just a mouthpiece for him) brought up are serious and some of them are really ignored by authorities (like homelessness for example, which is ironic because that's a big issue especially in big cities in America that vote left-wing but don't tell Taylor that, the lefty in him would go nuts). But throwing money at problems rarely, if ever, solves anything. And especially the way this is done is ridiculous. It would have made A more
This just all feels extremely hollow.
Instead of learning about Dick's great revelation all there is, is some fluff that falls apart the second it is looked at a little more closely.
I thought I would come back for the next not-a-tie-in arc, but at this point it is clear that Taylor does not write a Nightwing I enjoy.
