While it is certainly possible that subsequent issues will fare better, this entry ultimately falls short. Without a clear focus, its likely readers may not find any interest in this series.

This series has not only created two charming characters in Linnea and Parker, but it also provides a much needed fix for fans of thrillers and mysteries. Issue #3 fleshes out the characters while still giving readers a tense third act.

W0Rldtr33 remains dark as hell and refuses to let readers free from its hypnotic techno terrors. This issue may be a build up entry in the story, but one can only imagine what horrors will come next.

This issue manages to pack a lot of themes, commentary, and tones throughout the pages while still making for an entertaining read. Ram Vs run has always been about taking time to experience the story and visuals and this issue continues that trend. While readers may benefit from multiple reads, there is a lot to offer each time making for a great experience.

This issue is such a well balanced experience and readers who have been following this run will definitely feel like its a grand ending to the first arc. There is still much of the journey ahead, but readers will have to wait until Wonder Woman #8 releases to see what happens next.

Comic readers looking for an explosive sci-fi story are in for a treat with this issue. The entire creative team has put together a raw story but one that isnt shy from showing the violence that press often covers.

As a premiere issue, there is a lot to get readers new and old excited for this series. There is plenty of world building to build a new foundation for this Night Thrasher series. One challenge that readers may face is the references to previous series. However, its easy to piece together whats going on making for a great read.

This issue is worth reading, however, the pacing is a glaring problem that may result in readers less than enthusiastic about the story. If not for the story, the art alone makes for a great read.

For those who havent checked out this series, now is a good time to check it out and dive head first into a mystery that has been incredibly interesting. Not only has Starks created two memorable characters, but the hints of a larger conspiracy have made this a must read series.

Gone #2 is accessible for those interested in the story and portions out the drama and action masterfully. Its certainly a series to follow.

The ending does have a hook for the next arc and this is a welcome note considering Thompson is doing such a great job with the title.

As an entry in the Detective Comics series, this issue holds its own and is definitely worth picking up. The main story alone makes it worth checking out as readers will be pleased with the stunning visuals.

A little more exposition could have helped the overall experience, but readers will still be able to enjoy the issue. Dont expect anything mind blowing though as this series is beginning to need work in its tone.

View Issue       View Full Review

As a whole this issue is enjoyable, however, there are some elements that may leave readers a bit nervous. The scale in which the issue ends is a risky move that puts a lot of pressure to stick the landing. Bizarros personality can be an acquired taste and mileage may vary depending on the reader, however, there is still a story worth following that could prove Action Comics is in good hands.

View Issue       View Full Review

As a Green Lantern story, there is a good combination of drama and action although the writing could have benefited from less is more in the dialogue department. Still, its an enjoyable read and sets up an interesting arc going forward.

This issue is the weakest so far, however, in a series where every issue has knocked it out of the park it is still among great comics from the entire creative team. Readers who have been following the series might not enjoy this issue as much, but its worth checking out and letting the art do much of the heavy lifting.

DC Comics fans who have wanted a General Zod specific story will appreciate the direction and tone of this story. Its done well enough to respect the lore of the character while also staying intriguing enough for new readers to see why many fear General Zod.

As a chapter in the New Mexico arc, it accomplishes what it needs even if the pacing has been all over the place. I still believe this series is strong and look forward to whats to come, but I am cautious and hope future arcs manage the pacing better.

This issue is a mixed bag and this is largely in part from the writing. Which is a shame because a story having monsters shouldnt mean suddenly the writing needs to take a dip.

The overall plot is still decent, however, the Tribulation moments that should be building excitement made this issue a chore to read. While this is not inherently a bad issue, given the patience readers have had with this arc are likely going to be stretched thin as almost little to nothing major happens.

Overall, this issue is not the strongest in the series so far, but it still had moments that made for an entertaining read.

As a new entry to the series, this issue is fresh and another fun adventure for Nightwing. Fans of the series will be glad to see a change in story to keep the overall pacing fresh. Fans of the Knight Terrors event will find this issue to fall in line with the dark and horrific themes. While this issue was more depressing than other Knight Terror tie-ins, it was also fitting as it serves as a strong character study of the Gordon family.

Fans of this series might be surprised at the lack of action but will appreciate the character work in this issue. With only a few issues left in the Tribulation story arc, the third act has certainly been the strongest so far.

As a mystery comic series that is (currently) slated to be five issues long, the timing could not be more perfect as summer winds down and the Halloween season begins to get closer. Overall, this issue was a strong close for the arc and where the story goes next will surely be exciting. This series has had the task to build out a world beyond the main comic, however, I hope the story going forward gives Jace a more concrete end rather than spending too much time expanding the world. As a character, Jace is a great addition to the series, however, too much exploration with him as a vehicle may make him feel inconsequential over time.
