The precog known as Dreamer has pointed Waller’s weapons to the frozen tundra where our heroes lick their wounds…and the shocker general leading Waller’s charge to raze the fortress to the ground will leave you breathless. This is an incredibly exciting time in the DC Universe and Mark Waid and Dan Mora continue to be an unstoppable force of creative brilliance. Absolute Power #2 does an excellent job of not just continuing the momentum of the debut issue but also elevating the story even higher. There are so many great moments throughout this second issue that builds on all the storytelling we've been getting since Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths. It all helps to create greater investment in this story that Mark Waid and Dan Mora are crafting together. Which in turn makes this a must-read comic book event. Read Full Review
Overall, Absolute Power #2 is a must-read for fans of high-stakes superhero drama. Waid and Mora have crafted a compelling story that is both thrilling and thought-provoking. Read Full Review
This is one of the bleakest DC stories I've ever seen, but I have full faith in Waid that the whole picture will bring it together in the perfect way for his upcoming JLU relaunch. Read Full Review

Absolute Power #2 is another explosive entry in DC's Summer event that will leave readers in awe of the beautiful art, colors, writing, and letters put into this issue. Read Full Review
So far, Absolute Power has hit all the right notes for a good Big Two event. The heroes are powerless, scattered to the wind, while the villain has just the motivation to see things through. More importantly, after reading Absolute Power #2, it's evident that the characters will be changed, with new directions sprouting from the event like any good story should. Read Full Review
Absolute Power #2 hits like a freight train when Amanda Waller's plan for world domination slaps the remaining heroes with even more devastation. Waid's script packs in all the scale, drama, and energy you want from a big Summer event, and Dan Mora's art is fantastic. Nothing can convince readers Waller was able to pull off this attack, but it sure is fun watching it play out. Read Full Review
Absolute Power #2 is a disappointment in that what it seems to set up is left on the table with a complete right turn that is nowhere near as interesting. It appeared that this issue was going somewhere and improve upon last month's outing. It's far more interesting and exciting to see the heroes fighting back instead of another full issue of them getting beaten by a lame villain like Amanda Waller. Still, the issue does promise some things in the future. Read Full Review
This chapter ended up entertaining as a spectacle but whatever promise issue one held for this being something a little more than the average event was lost. The plot feels predictable and I'm mostly reminded of minor events like Bloodlines, Armageddon 2001, Legends, etc. In a few years, this will be one more forgotten event as it joins its siblings Knight Terrors, Beast World, and Lazarus Planet in a dollar box near you. (Dan Mora's art is still nice though.) Read Full Review
Don’t think too hard, juat sit back and enjoy.
Very fun issue. The art is amazing, as usual. The pacing is good. The stakes are high.
Great art and really cool story. The highlight of the issue was Nightwing taking charge and Batman's proud dad moment. It was all chaotic, frantic, and seemed a bit rushed but that was obviously by design. I wish I had read this before Batman #151, AP #2 set the events of that book into motion heh. Good stuff.
Nonstop action that’s drawn and colored beautifully. I’m really liking this event.
High stakes dystopian drama
solid art, pacing, story, dialogue, and I love how Nightwing gets more exposure
A good, action-packed issue here. I really liked DIck taking charge and directing the rest of the heroes. Mora's art was also just fantastic throughout this. That said, I do wish this had a little more time to breathe. At times, it felt like we were just jumping around without much time to process everything going on.
Dan Mora is one of my favorite artists of all time but I felt like the art got very confusing during the big action scenes which took away from the story's impact at times. Still a great issue and so curious to see how Jon makes out after this.
Art: 4/5
Story: 3.5/5
Total: 7.5/10
So far this event has been better than I expected it to be. That's the power of a great creative team given a whole lot of slop.
The second installment of Absolute Power escalates tension. Mark Waid and Dan Mora continue to electrify the world of DC superheroes with a unique blend of action, intrigue, and suspense. Waid's script juggles the complex web of alliances and rivalries between the factions, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat as the fragile balance of power threatens to topple at any moment. The character work is superb, with Superman's personal conflict taking center stage as he comes face to face w/ Waller's latest plan.
Mora's artwork is awesome, bringing the world to life with an energy that's impossible to ignore. From the stunning action sequences to the quieter moments, Mora's designs are infused with a sense of dynamism and emot more
Basically a long action scene but with little stakes.
