Get Your Comic On - Neil Vagg Sep 4, 2024

Another issue of Absolute Power. Another book that I simply couldn't put down. Great writing. Stunning artwork. I'm hanging on every panel of this event. But as the tide begins to turn I worry that any feelings of hope might be misgiven with another month of storytelling still to come. Read Full Review

Dark Knight News - James Attias Sep 4, 2024

Absolute Power #3 was a really cool comic book, like I'm sure there are many other long fancy words I could have used, but sometimes cool is all my generation have to say that something was awesome. Can't wait for the next issue. Love this creative team. Read Full Review

    Nerd Initiative - Ken M. Sep 4, 2024

The heroes of the DCU rediscover hope through chaos with an incredible pen-ultimate issue. Wais writing brings out the best of an exhausted and broken group of heroes. Mora and Sanchez elevate the emotions and actions flawlessly. The only thing not to like about this series is that its ending soon. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield Sep 4, 2024

This is a surprisingly short event, with only a few books a month over four months, but an experienced writer like Waid has managed to balance everything well and even give the spotlight to some unexpected faces. Read Full Review

Monkeys Fighting Robots - Mohamed Malla Sep 4, 2024

Absolute Power #3 sees the heroes at their lowest point, but the team behind the comic succeeds in allowing hope to shine through with concise writing, beautiful art and colors, and clever lettering. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Sep 4, 2024

Absolute Power #3 is a good issue, although it suffers from having so much going on with little setup for each scene. The impact of that final page also feels a little less impactful than it should, but there's no denying that this issue is an example of creators doing their best to cram in a lot of characters and content. Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles Jan 1, 1970

Absolute Power #3 was a bit of a letdown with major subplots not getting the space to breathe and play out to really signal their importance. Waller's plan nearly sees like it's set to unravel, but the real key will be how Waid and company complete this mini-series. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez Sep 4, 2024

Absolute Power #3 races readers from one scene to the next at Flash-levels of speed to cram in as much story as possible. For readers who favor non-stop, fast-paced action, this comic will feel like an absolute win. For the rest of us who would rather let the story breathe and unfold naturally to let the drama and emotional impact set in, this comic reads like a frantic panic attack. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - William Martin Sep 5, 2024

This was a lackluster issue that I was barely able to summon up any interest in. It's never terrible but often uninspired and tedious as the events of the previous issue are undermined and the inconsequentiality of the modern event is put front and center. They might as well start using the tagline "Everything will always be the same. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd Sep 4, 2024

The biggest problem with Absolute Power #3 is that you just don't feel like you're getting all the story. And, you're not- it's in the tie-ins and other mini-series. This issue really suffers for that. It's hurried, herky-jerky, cursory and repetitive. Dan Mora's art is not enough to get this one over the halfway mark. It feels terrible to give Waid, a writer I've enjoyed immensely over the years a low score like this. He's confined to four issues. Part of the blame falls on poor planning for the publication strategy for this story, despite the overall concept being underwhelming. It may be closer to a 4.5 out of 10, but the overall feeling from the issue is . Read Full Review
