ENTER: STEVE TREVOR! A Harbinger is but a messenger. It is The Tetracide that you must fear, for The Tetracide leaves nothing behind. Diana's true enemy has been revealed--and it will take everything she has to save Gateway City from oblivion!
Its wild how Absolute Wonder Woman keeps getting better each month. Hopefully this streak doesnt come to an end anytime soon. Read Full Review
The sacrifices that Diana has made in and around the edges of the main action become a bit clearer in the couirse of a nonlinear narrative that manages to find a remarkably clever and utterly horrifying giant monster. The Tetracide is a really impressive antagonistic force with which to explore some of the more sinister Lovecraftian darkenss that must surely populate every corner and crevice of a world that is as devastatingly dark as the Absolute Universe. With any luck, Thompson will be able to maintain the momentum shes built-up over the course of the first three issues of the series. Read Full Review
Absolute Wonder Woman #3 is a perfect issue. It introduces new faces and tells the tales of the titular hero all while allowing the audience to peer deeper and deeper into Wonder Woman's mind. Thus far, this stands to be the strongest Absolute title out of the Trinity titles, and I can't wait for more. Read Full Review
Absolute Wonder Woman earns its first five-star review from me as Kelly Thompson continues to consistently push the boundaries of the character. This month the story goes even harder, pushing Diana to her limits as the situation around her continues to spiral out of control in the most gripping ways. Read Full Review
Absolute Wonder Woman Issue 3 continues the savagery and the sweetness. The monsters get bigger and more dangerous, and Dianas devotion to stopping them remains resolute. Read Full Review
The Absolute line continues to be one of the most ambitious and exciting things to come out of DC in a very long time, and there's a good chance that this title winds up becoming its crown jewel. Kelly Thompson's unique take on Themysciran mythology and Hayden Sherman's stunning widescreen art continue to be stunning, and this issue takes us deeper into the unique world that Diana and Circe built in the middle of Hell. Overall, this book remains my favorite from the Absolute range, and I'm excited to see where the story goes next. Read Full Review
Absolute Wonder Woman #3 is an emotional and action-packed gut punch. This series is standing tall and adding depth to Diana and building tension throughout. You cannot sleep on this story because it has everything you could want and more from DC. Read Full Review
So while this isn't an action heavy issue what it does to build up Wonder Woman elevates this series even more. Read Full Review
The only knock on Absolute Wonder Woman #3 is its world feels lessed lived in and fleshed out than its Absolute Universe compatriots, but Thompson and Hayden Sherman start to remedy that with the introduction of Barbara Minerva, who provides a human perspective on the gods and monsters. Absolute Wonder Woman #3 benefits from providing some real substance for the character balanced with some action and back story that is actually meaningful. Thompson can't always rely on the "idea of the reimagining to carry and issue and this is an example of how to do that. The art from Sherman and Bellaire is evocative and they do a great job of creating a unique feeling world, even if it isn't supposed to be different from the other Absolute titles. Read Full Review
Absolute Wonder Woman #3is a strange mix of cool character developments and interpersonal interactions for Diana, paired with an oddly incomplete plot. Kelly Thompson's script at least gives you the most different Absolute version of one of the Holy Trinity, but the lack of character motivations and pretext, combined with Hayden Sherman's uneven artwork, makes this issue a tough recommendation.6.8/10 Read Full Review
Words cannot describe how incredible this book is.
Simply breathtaking. The story and character work on display here trumps the previous 2 issues, and is a grandly successful swing for the fences. One of the year’s best titles. Kudos to the entire team that put this story together. It’s the very essence of what an “absolute” title should be.
This is as perfect a Wonder Woman rendition as I have seen since Kelly Sue’s Historia in that it captures the essence of what a Wonder Woman is. Thompson and Hayden show us just how effortlessly Diana befits the title of Wonder Woman. Art is phenomenal and the work speaks for it self. Just an absolute breath of fresh air.
I'm simply stunned by how good this is. Every issue gets better and better, so I'm saving the perfect rating but it's coming, no doubt. By far the best of the Absolute titles !
Wonder Woman as a sorceress is just a hell of an awesome idea and Hayden Sherman is killing it !
Awesome issue from this series, once again. Everything I've praised the last two issues for is what I would praise for this one. Thompson and Sherman are really crafting up great stuff with this one (Spoiler art coming next, just in case you're looking at reviews without having read the issue yourself yet). Diana cutting off her right arm for Steve was insane, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of their relationship going forward.
This is my favorite version of Wonder Woman..... of all time. This is everything I want from a Wonder Woman comic and character. Absolutely breath-taking
The artwork continues to be a letdown for me. I wish they would bring a new artist if it continues past issue 5. This issue reveals how Steve was able to get out of Hell. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole arm thing. It was a bold move by Thompson, but I'm not sure if it was right move. Perhaps if she could grow it back at will. The robot arm, however, is definitely a bad idea. Technology in Hell just doesn't sound plausible. At least it explains the tattoos. Bringing in Minerva is a choice. Let's see how that goes.

All the pieces are there for something we haven't had in soooo long...a great WW comic, but here the pieces of the puzzle feel like they just don't fit together properly. I can see the image as a whole is beautiful but all the cracks between the sections mars the final picture. I've talked about it before and it continues to be the same situation every issue. I think this will be my last issue of this series as I hate bringing the score down on a series so many folks seem to enjoy and, if I'm being honest, I'm just tired of trying to like. I just don't think it's going to happen.
