The sacrifices that Diana has made in and around the edges of the main action become a bit clearer in the couirse of a nonlinear narrative that manages to find a remarkably clever and utterly horrifying giant monster. The Tetracide is a really impressive antagonistic force with which to explore some of the more sinister Lovecraftian darkenss that must surely populate every corner and crevice of a world that is as devastatingly dark as the Absolute Universe. With any luck, Thompson will be able to maintain the momentum shes built-up over the course of the first three issues of the series. Read Full Review

Absolute Wonder Woman #3 is a perfect issue. It introduces new faces and tells the tales of the titular hero all while allowing the audience to peer deeper and deeper into Wonder Woman's mind. Thus far, this stands to be the strongest Absolute title out of the Trinity titles, and I can't wait for more. Read Full Review

Absolute Wonder Woman earns its first five-star review from me as Kelly Thompson continues to consistently push the boundaries of the character. This month the story goes even harder, pushing Diana to her limits as the situation around her continues to spiral out of control in the most gripping ways. Read Full Review

The Absolute line continues to be one of the most ambitious and exciting things to come out of DC in a very long time, and there's a good chance that this title winds up becoming its crown jewel. Kelly Thompson's unique take on Themysciran mythology and Hayden Sherman's stunning widescreen art continue to be stunning, and this issue takes us deeper into the unique world that Diana and Circe built in the middle of Hell. The only knock on Absolute Wonder Woman #3 is its world feels lessed lived in and fleshed out than its Absolute Universe compatriots, but Thompson and Hayden Sherman start to remedy that with the introduction of Barbara Minerva, who provides a human perspective on the gods and monsters. Absolute Wonder Woman #3 benefits from providing some real substance for the character balanced with some action and back story that is actually meaningful. Thompson can't always rely on the "idea of the reimagining to carry and issue and this is an example of how to do that. The art from Sherman and Bellaire is evocative and they do a great job of creating a unique feeling world, even if it isn't supposed to be different from the other Absolute titles. Read Full Review

Absolute Wonder Woman #3is a strange mix of cool character developments and interpersonal interactions for Diana, paired with an oddly incomplete plot. Kelly Thompson's script at least gives you the most different Absolute version of one of the Holy Trinity, but the lack of character motivations and pretext, combined with Hayden Sherman's uneven artwork, makes this issue a tough recommendation.6.8/10 Read Full Review
