Batman: The Detective #2 is another good issue and should convince some naysayers that this is a story worth retelling. It looks great and is easy to recommend to most readers. Read Full Review
While it's an almost-great issue on its own, Batman: The Knight #2 feels slightly unnecessary when compared to similar stories from the past. Read Full Review
This stranger in s strange land take on the Dark Knight evolution is an interesting tale but cramming in the serial killer seems a bit of an overkill. The story was already strong enough with confident Lucie and petulant Bruce adding an array of skills to him and providing a blueprint to how his other skills will be learned. Sometimes less is more but still a worthwhile read. Read Full Review
Maybe a lot" the art, the cover art, the script is very solid. Bruce is not cocky, dark nor confident. This book is starting to carve out its place on comic shelves everywhere. Read Full Review

Only 2 issues and is already one of the best things done with Batman recently, it's great in every aspect. It was also really fun to see where did Bruce develop a thing for cat like burglars lol.
I am Batman'd out. Not even the upcoming movie holds my attention. But this series is dope. Zdarsky crushes what could easily have been a rote, boring cash grab. It's always uplifting when it's clear a creator had a plan and had a story to tell, and didn't just accept a project for the (admittedly necessary) paycheck.
Look guys, i will say this without no shame
I don't like the current DC vision of Batman.
I hate it
I hate how DC is batcentered rght now.
I hate how boring and similars are Batbooks
BUT, I love this book.
I liked this a lot.
Such a good read. Now, I liked the first part, not as much like the others, but it was solid.
This I liked much more. I'm really liking how this series is told. Zdarsky seems to have a clear plan what he wants to do with Bruce and I'm all for it.
So much fun and engaging with good characterization.
This Batman remix is the most interested I've been in the character in what feels like a really long time.
This book is awesome, I didn't expect to enjoy it the way I am, I didn't think we needed this story but honestly it seems to be exactly what Batman needed to be honest.
I have the first two volumes of zdarsky's DD run at home, and they jump got bumped up the " needs to be read list "
I think he's got a good voice for a young Bruce finding his way, and I really liked cougar French cat woman lol, we see why Bruce has a thing for car burgers now haha.
Yeah, this was better than the first one, there are still some lines that I didn't like but overall it was really interesting. Lucie is like a combination of Magpie, Ducard and Catwoman.
I could’ve done without the puerile hypocrisy of Bruce justifying robbing the CEO of an oil company because he’s a rich polluter when Bruce himself is a billionaire with a private jet, but otherwise this was a great story. Despite the countless stories told about Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zdarsky was still able to come up with a Batman story that is fresh and different than what has already been done before.
An elder version of Catwoman? Seriously?
A very good issue that has good dialogue and character work
